I had the great pleasure of seeing Matt Black's exhibition at the Deichtorhallen in Hamburg. His pictures left a deep impression on my heart and soul - similar to the photography of Sebastio Salgado. Thank you for this wonderful video!
I SUBSCRIBED YOUR CHANNEL, IN ORDER TO SEE AND ENJOY EVERY PHOTOGRAPHER ANALYSIS YOU HAVE MADE, I REALLY HAVE LEARNED MORE ABOUT PHOTOGRAPHY AND PHOTOGRAPHERS BY YOUR FANTASTIC DESCRIPTIONS, AND THE PRESENTATION OF PHOTOS, WITH A GREAT MUSIC SELECTION MADE A REAL DELIGHTFUL SHOW. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR OUTSTANDING WORK. I WILL SUPPORT YOUR CHANNEL IN A VERY SHORT TIME

I understand his aim, but this one makes me feel awkward. I can see depression in the faces of the documented persons. It is ok to tell the story, but it is also OK to say: Not easy to watch, special not when you feel empathy. We also have some super poor regions here in the European Union. What did I learn by watching this one? He is a great example to choose exposure based on the feeling he wants to express, and not by rules or logic.
Hi! 😊 Thank you so much for taking the time to watch the video and share your thoughts. I really appreciate your honesty and the perspective you’ve shared. 🙌 I totally understand what you mean-Matt Black’s work can definitely evoke strong emotions. His photos often highlight the struggles and challenges people face, and that can be tough to watch, especially when you feel a deep sense of empathy. I think that’s part of what makes his work so powerful, though-it doesn’t shy away from showing reality, even when it’s uncomfortable. You also made a great point about using exposure based on emotion rather than just technical rules. That’s one of the things I admire about his approach too. It reminds us that photography isn’t just about capturing images-it’s about telling stories and making people feel something. 📸 I really value your input and your perspective-it’s always great to hear how these videos resonate with others. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts! 🙏 I hope you have a fantastic day and an amazing 2025! 🎉 Stay tuned for more content coming soon, and feel free to share the channel with anyone you think might enjoy it. Take care and happy New Year! ✨🎆 - Joel Ulises
