Hey Sarge, thanks you for this video. Reminds me of "This war of Mine". Zombie setting is cool. I hope that it is very deep with hopefully morale decisions to make(who lives/dies, pick up another survivor to the group etc).
I hope so too. There is at least one location in this game that grants insanity to your survivor. I can't remember what insanity he got (negative trait), i forgot to check as it was very intense at that moment.
I think it's to utilize more of survival instinct rather than the weapon you have on hand. If you use cover and lure them to an isolated room, close the door behind them, and you will "incapacitate" them without having to expend weapon durability. No need to clear a location unless you are doing it to move to a new shelter. 👍
it's very much like 'this war of mine' only w zombies. Once you get to the hard places in this demo, like the Police station the tactical thinking ramps up, with a lot of choices to make. You can also try to herd zombies. Like in the first location you get to, you don't need to kill the zombie at the garage. Leave the door open (be sure to close the door on the zombie in the house), make some noise so the zombie turns around and chase you, climb up wait. soon the zombie will shambles of into the house. hurry down close the door, voila you still have a pristine scissor. for the dull mind the game might seem linear, but for the imaginative mind there is tons of decisions, tactics and choices to do. Some places is too large to loot in one go. You can screw up draw too many zombies onto the location so that returning to said location is gonna be even harder. Hands down, I think it gonna be my favorite game of 2025, if its anything remotely close to 'this war of mine'
@@SergeantKelvin yeah, I whish it was tiny bit longer, at least to explore what lvl2 workbench would do. but for a demo is 10/10. Can't wait for updates to hear how bandits or other armed survivors will work. in '...war of mine' they where terrifying. btw great content. more people need to know about this game and whishlist it on steam.
This game is just too linear for me. It's not much of a game, and hopefully it can get a little more stuff to do in it. Dicked around with it for over an hour and a half, and the best weapon I could get was an axe that died in 2 hits, and a pair of scissors. Nobody is coming to help you in this game. It's all wrong to go into a building and get attacked and earn a couple of nuts and bolts for your trouble. THEN your axe falls apart after two hits.
The game might not be for you. But later locations needs a ton of tactical thinking, hard choices to make, and clever decision making. But I don't agree w you that the game is linear. You get many locations to choose among as you explore and find new sightings. including finding new survivors, I had 5 survivors in total, so you have to strategize, who send on a supply run, who gets to eat, who gonna work on the barricades etc, and who gets the last bandages. But I have played the hell out of this demo (and yet haven't explored all locations, like the secret highway location). I tried to find the sixth survivor at the police station, but that place is a death trap. so the game might not caterer to everyone but saying it's too linear is nonsense.

I agree! This has SO much potential to be freaking awesome!
This game is Awesome! Can't wait for full game so I can watch you visit all the places.

With how easy they break, zombie game devs must think axes are made of cardboard
I feel like it's to encourage the use of the weapons workbench
@SergeantKelvin your probubly right

I agree with every point! The demo got intense for me when someone told me you only had until Aug. 28th. That changed the decisions I was making.

I do think melee weapons should last longer
I need to spend a lil more time with it
