Hi there, thanks for watching! For todays video we are going to be doing an official and updated collection tour for the beginning of 2023. I plan on doing this videos yearly to continue to show you guys how the collection has grown. If there’s any books at all that you would like me to do a review or overview on then comment down below and let me know. I am also always looking for recommendations of new books to check out if you have any. I would also appreciate any help when it comes to the custom binding game since I’m very new to it. I read Locke and key but need to recollect it. I picked up black hammer vol 1 but need to grab the rest. I plan on getting the Astro city hard cover for sure once that’s released. I haven’t heard of Mind MGMT so I’ll have to for sure check that out!

Just found your channel. Great collection! I've been collecting single issues for about 35 years and only started with omnis and oversized hardcovers in the last year or so. It's tough collecting both but I can't commit to one or the other since I like both so much. It'll grow over time. So many cool stories and I love how those omnis look on the shelf. Thanks for sharing!
I was collecting singles for a long time (since 2001-2002) before jumping into the Omni game but I haven’t looked back sense. Something about a book that keeps and displays beautifully makes it feel way more worth it to me not to mention you get entire series and runs. Waiting is typically the hardest part, but for stuff ongoing or current I just try to read them online.
That how I handled the decision Atleast so I hope that helps a little bit, but welcome to the channel! Your 35 years of knowledge is going to be a great addition to the community!

I tried to get into sandman but couldn’t BUT now that I’m older I’ve been wanting to give it another try so possibly! As far as Kabuki goes you got me on that one haha never heard of it! I’m gonna have to check it out!

@@Illuminerdy_ know I saw the clip - amazing seeing the likes of Hawkeye, Alpha Flight, DD by Miller etc actually on a shelf! Unfortunately I’m in the UK. Of yours I’m looking for Winter Soldier (like you I also need Trial), Annihilation Conquest and Yellow, Blue, Grey White. I guess the chase is part of the fun

What a variety ! I really like how you took the time to read each title, gives people a chance to check out new titles. Never heard of Seven to Eternity which looks freakin epic, will have to check it out and didnt know grand design was collected in a omni. Really shows you put care into your library. Also the term is "sprayed edges" for the Deathnote black editions. Id say to check out Fourth World by Jack Kirby, for such an old title its was a lot of fun, and you have to get them in absolute edition haha plus anything with batman, need more batman titles ✌️

Also yes I do have plans for more Batman but I never rush to his books because of his popularity in the community and that 1. Most people know about his books and 2. His books are always easy to find due to his popularity (minus the knightfall omnis, I really want those tho)

You should add Pluto to your collection, I'm surprised it's not already.
If Pluto gets a collected edition or perfect addition like monster or 20th century boys then I will for sure add it to my collection but until then I don’t plan on jumping into the singles game just yet.

Waw. Supernice collection. I am not really into manga. But the rest looks really impressive. Star Wars The old republic is very hard to find here in Europe. Hope to get it in my collection someday. Seems like you have no trade paperbacks?
You recommended me Green Lantern by Geoff Johns and I started reading it this week. The first half of the rebirth trade paperback was a little confusing but once I knew what was happining, it was a blast. What an ending!! Now started reading No Fear. Man, this was some good advice. Thanks a lot. Also ordered Green Lantern earth one. I heard it was very good. 😆

I read some digitally yes but not all. I do prefer physical over digital but the digital option is a great one!

I’m not exactly sure how digital comics are developed but you can read then using online apps.
@@Illuminerdy_ sorry for my english. I meant, how is the percentage of readers that read digital comic instead of the paper one? I've red some articles here in Italy regarding the digital but I think they don't tell the truth.
@@freakythinker4821 I’m no expert but I’d say the percentage prob leans more digital over physical until it comes to the collected editions world like what I collect.
I’m not sure what your articles said but that’s what I feel I’ve noticed but like I said I’m no expert and that’s just a assumption.

No jojos. You have most of my favourite mangas. Full metal alchemist, akira even fist of the North star but no jojos bizzare adventure. Though I do love your collection. Mostly mangas that have some real substance. Iv read some real out there mangas tbh but still always fall back on death note, berserk, fist of the North star and oh yeah jojos bizarre adventure. Dont worry im kidding really you might just not be into it.
Haha I know i know I here it a lot from the community. I tried it in the past and tried the anime and something about the art style always turned me away BUT I am ALWAYS open to retrying series again now that I’m older. I especially wanna try it again because of how beautiful those hard covers are! The rest I’ve loved and I’ve very much fell in love with manga in general but alot of titles are subjective but I still plan to give all titles I read multiple chances to hook me if they haven’t.
@@Illuminerdy_ if it makes you feel better his art style changes through parts. It evolved through time. Starting off with the 80s stry at the time then moving forward through time. Now in 2023 its nothing like it was back in 1987. Its fun and and its nothing like anything out there. It inspired alot if manga out today and now arakis is displayed at the Louvre in Paris in the same museum as the Lisa mona. So give it a shot.
@@thegeoshow5296 yeah I have heard that and that’s what has made me wanna take another shot especially when I think of early kentaro and how much he evolved. I plan to try once again at some point and I’ll make sure to do a review so me and you can talk all the JoJos!
