I can highly recommend Longboat Key. I took holidays here, in the 80s and 90s, when I was in my twenties and thirties, It’s a paradise. One of the hotels I stayed at was the Hilton, which is now Zota Beach Hotel. 😊
@@chantaltaylor3181 I live in Sarasota now but in my 20s and 30s I was going to Europe every summer. I can't imagine Longboat Key being exciting enough for a younger person. It's beautiful but there's just nothing to do.

Sarasota/Longboat is saturated with established Realtors that have control of the area. You won't be able to get a license and just start selling or getting listings. I have 3 friends that are realtors in that area and it is very well established. Florida over all is ver saturated.
See that light green in the water? That is blue/green algae and it reeks. This area is has a problem with that algae because of all of the fertilizer in the water.

It depends on the year, some years no one even notices and some years it's horrible for a couple of weeks.
