Special thanks to Danbero who is completely responsible for the entire orchestra on this track. Some of you might remember that I already gave a shoutout to Dan before and again, you should check out his music 'cause you're gonna find a lot of high quality orchestral portal music. Even got an entire Portal 2 medley on his own. ( / @danbero )
In this track I also brought back some elements from my old remix ( • Portal 2 Final Boss En... & • Portal 2 Endign (only ... ) such as the hi hats, one of the synthesizer at the end and the reverse crash that I used in every single song back then, remember?

This remix is DEFINITELY worthy of praise and pampering. The original was already a masterpiece in its own right, its placement in the endgame earning its reputation among one of the most infamous endings I have ever seen in a video game. But THIS? *THIS!?* It's incredible, so much so in fact that mere words cannot describe. Vandoorea, you have created nothing short of a masterpiece. Hope you keep making this awesome work in the future!

Most likely because Chell didn’t so much pull off the amazing feats that Gordon did, as the events of Portal 1 and 2 were rather self-contained, while Half Life 1 and the ongoing events of Half Life 2 provide a global threat to the entire human race.

'Your Precious Moon' has 2 parts, before the moon portal and after it. With the original version, in my opinion, the after portion is better than the before portion. But in this version the before portion is better than the after portion. (Just to be clear all parts of both version are great, I'm just saying which parts I like best)

Amazing in every sense of the word, but this remix makes the same mistake the original does.
The best portion of the song, the ending part, is way, way too short. A pitiful 29-33 seconds is all it really gets to it's glorious name, Why does no one ever extend this part? Is the HIGHEST tension point of the song really not worth extending?
It's such a shame, even in this remix, the best part is that last bit, and just when you're REALLY getting into how fucking orgasmic it is, it ends too soon, it's like being blue balled. Damn it, man.
Dark Nite Sunset Exactly! I feel the exact same way! Although the original OST has it pinned, it really should expand the track during the climax, perhaps add chorus, strings, anything to extend its orgasmatic feel.

LoveThomas Yeah I was kind of hoping it’d be more in minor, and all that. Like Bombs for throwing at you was really good. But I feel like this rendition was your precious moon wasn’t.... it didn’t live up to the hype. Don’t get me wrong I love vandoorea but I feel like this song is better when there’s less going on, there’s too many sounds it drowns out the minor key melody. It starts off really really good but towards the middle it gets too chaotic and you can’t appreciate the melody.
@@cristianflores1535 That is what I thought when we worked on the remix. We did end up scrapping a few things/instruments, maybe it really is a bit too much...
I don't think the ressult is nowhere near bad, but I get the feeling if you don't know what melody you are going to hear, you wont hear it.
