Thank you very much, I am listening while remembering what I have learned at the Chinese University in 1996. Your vlog helps me a lot. It is just that the standard written romanization taught to us is different from yours but the spoken form is perfect. Again, Thank you
This is very useful and is what I'm looking for to increase my vocabulary. Can I please suggest to write the definition for the words which in English have more than one meaning and to also include whether it's referring to the noun, verb, adverb etc form? e.g. shop can be a noun or a verb
Thank you for the great suggestion! We'll pass it to the production team. Have fun learning Cantonese, and feel free to ask if you have any questions :) Team CantoneseClass101.com
No one uses taa1 for her in canto, thats mandarin's "他、她、它". Canto uses only one pronoun for all the genders, singular "they" 佢 - keoi5 and for plural it's 佢哋 - keoi5 dei6
canto people are likely to say 乜 (mat1), 乜嘢 (mat1 je5), 咩 (me1) instead of 什麼 -sam6 mo1 for what, 邊度 - bin1 dou6 instead of 哪裡 -naa5 leoi5 for where, 邊個 - bin1 go3 instead of 誰 - seoi4 for who
and 唔該 m4 goi1 (thank you (for services rendered, or favours)) and 多謝 do1 ze6 (thank you (usually for gifts)) instead of 感谢 gam2 ze6 which is heartfelt thanks and is very formal.
@@CantoneseClass101 yes, no music and use word in short sentences examples please! I like that I’m able to listen until I fall asleep, but words alone are hard to memorize, if we can get an example it would be helpful.

When you sleep you brain ist more Open For information
I think it's the time right before falling asleep when it is effective, when you have your eyes closed and are in a meditative state.
