- Ace investor and author Ruchir Sharma said the stock markets will see a “big knee-jerk negative reaction” if the Bharatiya Janata Party gets less than 250 seats in the Lok Sabha elections.
Sharma, Chairman of Rockefeller International, was answering a question on whether coalition governments are bad for stock markets at a session during the India Today Pop-up Conclave in Mumbai.

There is nothing wrong with socialism. He’s like oh it was bad during 80s. People were much happier even though they had less commodities in hand, but today in the garb of capitalism people have a lot of the foreign (Chinese mostly) dump of goods in India but people are way unhappier. Let the truth prevail, Capitalism is greed and a sure shot way to unhappiness for most people with a few enjoying disproportionate amounts of comfort and wealth.
The true measure of happiness is when capitalism is capped and goes hand in hand with social welfare schemes. So any country which has a right blend of this is what makes it a happier society.
In a country of 1.4 billion it’s impossible for all the poor to be comfortable, it will never happen. People need to get over the idea that everyone will be rich or prosperous even if India becomes a developed society one day.

This appears to be the most inscrutable election in India, because of new permutations and combinations in a number of large states such as Maharashtra, West Bengal, Bihar, Karnataka, Rajasthan and Haryana. However there are no strong indications of a BJP loss or a Congress revival. Therefore there's no point in hours and hours of futile discussion. It's more sensible to wait for the fourth of June.
Coalation may be good for competitive market but the problem in India is India's coalation constituents lack global vision and majority of even all of them look for selfish interest posing danger for national interest.

I feel that the Congress has a strong IT cell this election. Any negative news on the INDIA alliance or positive news on BJP is being attacked with gusto. Ruchir India has had low inflation because Moti ji came when the global commodity super cycle in 2014. And commodities have been well behaved since. Except 2022 tx to Russia Ukraine was and India inflation during this period was 7-8pc, all over again
