The one event that Daytona had that Sturgis didn't was the cole slaw wrestling. Other than that Sturgis was better, in my opinion.

I went for a few years with my yamaha. Never had a problem, anyone who rides is accepted

Man Daytona bike week blows sturgis away. Sturgis 2020 all the chics are 200 pound plus. Depressing for a bike rally.

@@revvinrav I live through it every year. I drive through it on my way to work every March. Its nothing but a bunch of bars and people selling t shirts. We have the same thing year round. I avoid driving through it on weekends when its rediculous.
@@susanhirst3382 it’s an awesome experience attending with your motorcycle and meeting people with bikes! You should definitely rent or ask a friend to take you on their bike 😃 you’re right in the part that there are some awkward and inappropriate people (there’s people like that I’m pretty much any event) but there’s also people full of stories of how they traveled across the country to get there. Awesome stories about their bikes... if you’re into that kind of stuff, you’ll love it. No video can do this event any justice

Guess that'd mean you never went? How'd you know unless you'd been there? I started going in 1975, rode in from Valdosta GA, Run To The Sun ride...and yeah, it's a different now, don't need to have 2-3 run trucks hauling ramps and spare parts...but....I still see old friends and make new ones, so what the eff, over? It's still a party.
And I hear ya, lots of posers and weekend riders, but they keep Harley, Indian, (and now expired Victory) plus custom bike builders in the cash...It's the ECONOMY...eh?
