@christopherkasko I don't know how I miss this post, Christopher... The SM needs a new drive belt. There's a story about it when it finally broke down ( the last storm/March2023), maybe I'll put it in a video one of these days. ☕️
As per usual...terrific video brother. Tried replying to your last msg on one of the other videos but for whatever reason it wouldn't allow me to do so. Nevertheless, happy new year and hope you have a great season
Hey D, thanks, man. I appreciate the posts. We got hit today by wintry mix, 2 to 3 inches of very wet/compacted snow 👍🏽 Happy New Year to you as well, brother, and I wish you a great season as well !
@OldLenn brother just a question for ya. In a case like tmw night when snow is expected to stop at 12am. Do you go and use the blowers and start at say at 1am? 😝
@daugust3359 That is a question/topic that will always be discussed in the snow removal community, lol. I don't use my machines late at night/wee hours. Even though most of the customers/neighbors say it's alright for me to run my machines laye at night/wee hours. I use sleigh shovel instead. Typically, I remove snow from their driveway just a little wider than the width of their vehicle, and I only shovel from the end of the driveway (curb) up to the bumper of their cars and sometimes by both side doors. ...Now, if they have a very long driveway (100ft+). They would park their cars closer at the end of their driveway whenever it's possible. The majority of times, that's the case. And I'm usually back during sunrise to finish the job with my coffee & Toro, of course, lol. I explained all these things and conditions to all my customers at the beginning of the season (or during the sitdowns). I hope that makes sense. Here's an example. You'd notice in the video I almost cleared half of the driveway. I only did that for the yt viewers. th-cam.com/video/J9SpuAee40A/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
@OldLenn brilliant answer. I was just curious what most do. I actually just fired off a text to all my customers telling them I would do everything possible to avoid blowers going off during the wee hours but to also be prepared as it can happen the deeper we get into winter with more accumilation. But it would be last resort. Definitely gotta look into getting one of those sled shovels tho lol. Thanks for the great reply buddy.... happy snow clearing tonight. Stay safe
