Great video man! I'm 6 months into my tower crane apprenticeship, haven't done any schooling yet, just rigging. Have had maybe 5 hours total seat-time with a Terex CTL 140-10. Definitely a challenge learning on a luffing jib, mostly the boom up/down operations catching the loads. Trying to better understand how and when to swing and in which gears to always have control over the load. Videos like these help a lot, you're a legend!
Good morning Brxson try to get as familiar as you can with the crane become one with the crane swing hook out of control just to see if you can catch it that’s the best advice I can give you , I’m always catching my swing I appreciate the kind comment maybe one day I’ll be a legend until then I’m still trying you’re only as good as your last pic Good luck to you my friend the ground is the best place to start for sure that’s what I did

More than likely the operator already knows because he can see the cable moving but it never hurts just to let him know hey the load is swinging left or right backward or forward he’ll probably ask you why how much and he can adjust to swing accordingly to catch it so answer your question yes it never hurts to tell the operator

If an operator is in the blind cabling down, and the load is swinging, should you tell him or does he already know?
