    As usual I love your reviews, and agree it feels like a cheap version of the Audi set.
    The biggest disappointment in these pullback motor sets is the lack of buildable ramp. Lego has done them before with these kinds of sets, and they were a great addition. Monster Jam set would have been perfect to include them, as monster trucks are known for using ramps in their stunt shows.
    Lego could even easily solve this issues by having a dotted "cut here" line on the box it comes in to provide us a ramp without needing to give us extra parts.
    So thanks for the review, and maybe if I do have the extra cash, I might pick this up for my younger family members.

      I mean, the Audi set is like around seven times the price of this pullback set, so of course this set is gonna feel cheap. Although I've seen very harsh discounts on that Audi set where I am, almost half off at one point.
      Even so, this pullback set is just not good, and is very much a one-trick pony with how many steps back it goes compared to past sets of its type. Those past sets such as the Monster Jam ones are a lot cheaper, had cool B-models and both A and B-models looked pretty good and interesting.

    I think that there is a part in new colour in this set. Technic, Panel Curved 3 x 5 x 3 24116 in this set is in Orange colour, while Brick link says it never appeared in Orange before.

    I want Lego to make normal everyday vehicles, like Toyota Highlander or Ford F-150. Put them in the $50 range.

    Another great review, thanks Sariel. I am glad that it is not just me who is feeling that some of these sets are repetitive and maybe even a little dull. I have not seen much that I am looking forwards to for a while, except maybe the Kawasaki H2. Keep up the great work, have a great new year.

    Another small set that is showing that we're missing partial fender panels for this scale that would be useful with some other pieces in front and in back of the wheel - current panels for this scale stretch upfront and to the back of the wheel and forcefully define the shape of the area. Side note: music in the first part of the video is really distracting.

    What I dislike about this and many more of the smaller scale Lego cars is that these sets discourage you from rebuilding them into something original. Having such a chunk of your parts to be unique panels and/or to have stickers on them limits your rebuild imagination to "A slightly different McLaren car". It feels to me that the very essence of Lego is missing from this kind of sets. Disappointing.

    This set just looks really funky... It's just too squarish, has a raised front section for no good reason, has a front section that should have been about two pin holes longer, and could have had reduced clearance for its tires. I've never seen a car look less like a car when done in Technic.

      I rather have an accurate representation of the product rather than a censored one because some people on the internet do not like some of the stickers...
      You don`t have to buy it, you can just leave it on the shelfs if you don`t like it.

      @@macdam11what do you mean. Are there no other car making companies to licence cars apart of McLaren who chose slave owning sponsor?

    • @macdam11
      @macdam11 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@theLGf Most clothing brands do make heavily use of modern slavery, and also are usually sponsors of sport teams. Therefore from your point of view you most likely not find a company which fits your high standards.
      I rather accept that the world is not all black and white, and therefore am not that morally opposed to the idea that maybe one of the sponsors may have slave owning practices.
      Especially when the people bringing this "problem" up most likely wear clothing made by modern slavery or have no idea where the products they buy or subsidize come from.
