Yes I agree. #1: It depends on the dog. Then the owner needs to know how to properly use the collar. A leash issue isn't going to be solved by just buying the collar, installing it on the dog and start walking. It's not that simple. It's part of many tools to gain control of a dog. In many cases, it's been shown that the dog's owner needs proper direction as well as the dog itself. @@MT-if1jr

      Couple quick question bud,
      1. Now that the doggo has the Correct guidance and direction, and the owner has learnt Correct canine skills to communicate with her doggos at the Early Intervention stage, do you think this pupper lead a much more content, happier life, vastly more social around his own kind now he understands he doesn’t need to protect himself and his fam?

It Is Correcting dogs. Doggo gains More Freedom will Clear understanding of what’s acceptable behaviour, leading to vastly happier and mentally healthier dogs.
Needles by your ‘logic’ also hurt doggos, even merely for an op to save them when they need it..
But decent chance you see and accept the Good beyond the short-term brief moment.
Of course, I could be wrong about that.. I mean to date, all you seem to want to do is see canines suffer as long as possible to avoid momentary discomfort..
Bet you you personally practice self-discipline, yet you won’t extend that self-care to your animals.. you benefit from this, they miss out cos of your ‘ideals’
That’s frankly cruel you’re not helping them progress, just leaving them to work it out for themselves..eventually/maybe/if they’re lucky enough to stumble upon it themselves..
Yes, that’s exactly Why Inertial is insecure btw.. yes, she knows tricks, very nice.. but sadly, she’ll never be a Confident Secure dog because her Owner lacks confidence in true dog understanding skills.
Canines Always show the Truth. They reflect who we are.

      Shoddy..and badly 2nd rate
Give me a Confident Secure doggo over a insecure limited pupper any day of the week.

The dog bit her on her thigh muscle. While I can't imagine how much it hurt or how seriously she was injured, it was a dog bite. That German Shepherd has the potential to cause serious problems. At least she took action and is being proactive in nipping this behavior in the bud. What I hope is she works with this dog daily because her dog has evidently had these fear based aggression issues for quite some time. A lot of the problem can be found with the owner not understanding how to curb these reactions. A lot of dogs are even euthanized when proper leadership is all that's needed. From what I saw, the dog wasn't hurt, not in the 20+ minutes of this video. @@TeslaNick2

I saw the same thing. As long as the training continues in this manner, the dog isn't being hurt. There's this big debate over the prong collar and certain dog training techniques that in my opinion, if a dog owner is trying to control their dogs and spending time with them, there's no issue. My concern is these off leash dogs who run up on dogs like hers. My true opinion is I hope there's a safe enough place to exercise her dog because it has shown that it can go out of control. She needs further training so she'll know how to handle the dog in the event of an attack or if a dog wants to push itself in that dog's space uninvited because that German Shepherd will defend itself. @@titasmom678

I heard about Dog Daddy from other trainers. Just like the one who merely mentioned him, I wanted to see what the hell was going on because it's too much aggressive attitudes in these dog parks to the point of fighting, or dogs becoming very dangerous to people, their, kids and their dogs in neighborhoods! I bet you even today, someone got injured either by their dog, or someone else's dog! While the shelters are crying for adoptions, it's like that because people get dogs and aren't responsible with them. If a person get a dog, they have to learn to control it. @@TeslaNick2

I also felt like she need's a little training on command's as well. If she is confused, the dog will be also. Thank you Augusto for another successful training session. Please keep showing training video's like this to destroy the misconception of a prong collar usage hurting the dog. Prong collars can be good training aids when used correctly for a highly reactive strong dog. They also have an extremely high chance to be misused if someone who isnt a dog trainer (or been properly taught by a trainer)uses them and cause harm to a dog. A reactive dog is one of the most difficult behaviours to treat, it's wonderful to see how much progress was made in this session. Prong collars are great for training some dogs, just to get their attention and guide them. A fixated stare can be distracted with a pull on the collar. Observation of the dog's body language is also key.

This is a great video to show people why you use the prong collar in the beginning or why you use the method you do to get the dog to calm down and then you're trained just like any other training by giving the dog positive affirmations once they start to get it that they're doing the right thing that they're doing what you're expecting them to do. You're not making the dogs submissive and just lay there and and wine and be sad that they're not able to be a dog. But the whole point is our dog should not ever be our Alpha we should always be the leader of our pack and the dog should follow our lead not lead you and giving them little treats and treating them like they're just a little baby puppy all the time is not good for the dog. Dog needs to know that I have to fend for themselves and they don't have to defend every thing that comes around you and they don't have to bark at every dog or every person it's okay to calm down I'm just enjoy their walk at the park and not be in working dog defense mode Attack Mode so I love this video is perfect

Dog Daddy you really got the touch! You are extremely gifted. It's like you were a dog in another life, so you understand them more, LOL! I absolutely Love your videos, and I don't even have a dog! I now notice how many dog owners have absolutely no control over their pet. Like 90% of them. Everyone should take your class, or at least view your videos. Sending Love from Florida! ❣

When we teach riders and horses to respond to a bit, we do the exact same thing. We use a D-Ring or Full-Cheek Snaffle, which is actually one of the least severe bits. When pulling on the left rein, the pressure stops the second the horse turns to the left. The SECOND! this is repeated on both sides and it is not long before the horse is spinning with very little pressure. This is also accompanied by use of leg and seat and posture. I see the prong collar as an aid that can be horribly abused just like hard hands on a horses mouth via a bit, but if the handler learns how to use it correctly, you can achieve the same objective. My only thought would be if the dog is really bothered by the other dogs, take him to work at a distance and close that distance gradually as the dog gets accustomed to the trigger. Would you concur? I don't use a prong collar with my dog, but I do a lot of direction change when he's not focused on me.

To all you who have not attend his trainings, it is not all about simply just getting past their inital fear of taking the leash, like in the shorts! There is a lot of additional hands on instruction.
If you dont like his methods or agree with him, Ceser or any other trainer out there, mind your own business, move on and do your own thing!
He isnt criticizing anyone else's methods! BUT HE IS SAVING DOGS FROM BEING SURRENDERED, AND EUTHANIZED! HE ISN'T TRAUMATIZING DOGS EITHER! THE FEW MINUTES IT TAKES TO BREAKTHROUGH THEIR MUCK, THE BETTER THEY ARE, BECAUSE THE STRESS AND ANXIETY IS WORSE FOR THEIR IMMUNE SYSTEM AND OVER ALL HEALTH! SO JUST STOP BEING A BUNCH OF KARENS, AND STOP!
RESULTS MATTER! PUT UP OR SH*T UP, AND SHOW YOUR WORK WITH THE SAME CALIBER OF DOGS!

Not only is the dog reactive, he's un-socialized. He bit her as a result, so she reached out for help out of love for him! If she successfully succeed in her mission, he'll make not only a great dog, but a great protector, only if he can learn to trust her, then he'll love her back. I hope by now the GSD has settled down.

    I Love the Dog Daddy!!!
I adopted a dog from the Humane Society 4 months ago. When she came home with us she was so scared she wouldn't even look at me. 4 months later and she's my buddy. But whenever we go for a walk she is ALWAYS on high alert and scared of both people and dogs. I watch your videos and am amazed at how awesome you are with dogs. You literally save their lives and make the owners know how to be with them. I really love what you do. I wish I could train my own dog, but...?? I don't know how to break her out of fight or flight.

I don't know how to describe what I saw in the beginning. It was almost like a slinky but not like a tug of war and it was kind of sad for both of them with the prone collar. I see her as a confident while communicating. Happy mom and I'm so happy for her and you that you both had the experience that you did have. Nice to see, both dogs look so happy and they look like the perfect family. Proud of you Augusto!!!!❤ Now that they have the tools to work with, practicing will become a lot easier and a lot more fun

I had a giant dog walk by me and my dog the other day. I was afraid this dog would slip his collar and come after us. My dog is quite reactive, but I controlled her and stood to the side. The other persons dog was freaking come towards us and I put my dog to the side and told her to mind her business and started walking away as a car was passing between us.

I love these longer formats. I have been a fan for a long time. As a shelter volunteer, I see too many dogs like this getting passed over, and rightfully so. Too many under-educated adopters feel sorry for these dogs, yet they have no tools to deal with them. This is a great lesson! Thank you DD!! ❤❤
