  • Ride your indoor bike on this scenic 30 mile ride through Colorado River canyons and valleys. Your comments and Likes are my motivation to keep making scenic cycling videos for indoor cycling.
    How much advantage is gained by using clip-in pedals instead of flat pedals? I did some research on this. View the surprising results here:

    Excellent pandemic ride! Thank you. Have driven it many times; you'll not likely ever see so few cars on that road again.

      Very true! I also used that early pandemic to ride Red Mountain Pass. Funny thing about the Moab Dewey Bridge ride is that although I'd driven that route many times I never gave a thought when I passed the sign for Onion Creed Road. Finally, out of curiosity, I decided to ride my mountain bike on it. Boy, was I surprised! It is spectacular! You'll find videos of Onion Creek and Red Mountain on my channel.

      Yes, I like that ride too. I was lucky to catch in during low traffic time (Covid). Some say this route is more scenic from the other direction. Video [04] and [05] show it from the other direction.

    What a wonderful ride! I thought Arches was the most beautiful natural park I've seen but it's possible this may be even better. I broke this video up into two 45-minute rides, but the scenery was so beautiful I probably could have done the whole thing at once. I just wanted to keep going. I'm watching these on my laptop on a stand in front of my bike, but your videos are making me consider getting a TV to watch them on. I was surprised at how few cars there were on this ride. (I'm also surprised there were no signs letting you know the bike trail ended at that tunnel!) Very enjoyable ride. I will definitely be looking for the LaSal Loop Rd. ride through the Mountains when you do it (If you haven't already).

      Glad you enjoyed it! I enjoyed it too and it was great to have you to ride with. The tunnel connected to a mountain bike trail. Too bad for hapless roadies like us. Don't know when I'll get around to doing LaSal Rd loop. The Castle Valley [27] video shows part of it. There was not much traffic on Moab to Dewey Bridge [58] because it is at the height of the Covid shutdown. I did do Dewey Bridge to Moab a few years ago and it is posted as [04] and [05]. I did i when I was a beginner cyclist and beginner video maker. It took me two tries to get it right. Yes, I rode it twice, but not on the same day. Traffic wasn't too bad since it was early May. There was one bad pass by cars early in the [05] video.

      @oldschoolwarrior 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JerrysScenicCycling I think I'll do Castle Valley next (btw, you numbering them helps a lot). I'm sure it'll be very pleasant. Then I'll check out videos 04 and 05 afterward.

    Thank you from Virginia. I love how you don't have any subscribe button or logos on the screen, you put minimal writing on the screen, and we don't have to deal with glare from a vehicle windshield either. In the future, could you upload some more Utah videos?

    • @JerrysScenicCycling
      @JerrysScenicCycling  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are so welcome! I plan on more Utah videos. Are the gravel rides like [67] Onion Creek Road okay? There are some amazing Utah rides suitable for gravel bikes.

      @@JerrysScenicCycling Yes, I like those types of videos as well. I visited Utah when dad was in the United States Air Force back in the 1960s. I like how the scenery is so different from the scenery here in Virginia.

  • @oldschoolwarrior

    Me in the first 15 minutes: "I can't believe how beautiful the scenery is. I'm really enjoying this."
    Message on screen: "Scenery gets better a few miles ahead."
    Me: (Is that even possible?!!)
    Me (a few minutes later): "Wow! I guess it IS possible."

    Have you recorded the LaSal Rd section back to Moab yet?

    • @JerrysScenicCycling
      @JerrysScenicCycling  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, I was over there Sunday in the car with Marci to scout it. Looks like the west side will make the best video. East side is pretty barren. Will probably try to connect up with where I left off on [27] Castle Valley. Car got a flat near Moab on Sunday so had to stay overnight till tire repair place opened on Monday (today). Have a couple other rides I want to do before LaSal Loop Rd.
