as "yikes" as this theory is, I kind of love it I'm admittedly more of a SokkaxToph shipper than SokkaxSuki, not that I don't like Suki or her being with Sokka, I do, I just think Sokka and Toph are REALLY cute; it's the scene where Toph almost drowns in 'The Serpent's Pass' and some stuff in the finale that sell me on it -also Sokka and Suki are teenagers in a long distance relationship, what's really the likelihood that that's gonna work out, hmm? and I've actually come to really appreciate little touches of realism in my fantasy stories, especially when it comes to romance; it pulls me into the story far more than if things go smoothly and wrap up in a neat little bow at the end. I think that might be why I don't have as much of a problem with LoK and what it tries to do than a lot of other people tend to
I think I'm in the same boat, I like Suki, but we seemed almost like a consolation prize after Yue became the moon. Sokka had already forgotten Suki even existed! But at least with Toph, she's an amazing Earth bender, but she does have some things that leave her vulnerable because she can't see, and that would make Sokka a really good partner for Toph since he's got a bit of a complex from not being a bender (so he'd at least have some niche to fill by helping Toph on the few times she needs it). With Suki and Sokka, Suki doesn't need him at all, which, with a personality like Sokka's, that could also strain their relationship quickly.
You're right, it is almost bizarre to see a cartoon where siblings have different dads and their mother is happily unmarried. I wish more shows would have that dynamic and help erase the stigma for non-traditional families.
One thing about toph she was always kept down under strict control and wanted freedom. I think the reason why we don’t see their fathers is bc she let them make the choice to not be tied down to their kids and let them have freedom. Personally I think Sokka is Suyins father because it just makes sense to me. Plus I feel like Toph didn’t want to tie down sokka or she could have kept it hidden. Since sokka was busy with being the Southern Water tribe Chief and Council member she probably didn’t want to take that away from him. She also was a single mother before without the help of Lin’s father so it wouldn’t be a surprise if she kept it from Sokka
That would be interesting, but the comics get into such strange territory since some of them were written AFTER Legend of Korra came out so it's hard to know what they thought up when.

But it would make sense if Suyin's dad was someone as creative and innovative as Satoru considering they both have a lot in common, including their similar hairstyles and olive skin tone. And I feel like Toph would get together with someone she knows after her failed relationship with Kanto. But even if that were not the intention, they can still do a lot of things retroactively. I mean, originally Roku had nothing to do with Sozin until the writers made them close friends in Book 3 of ATLA.

Well I do have quite a lot more Avatar/Korra theories to go over in the months ahead. I've never really thought about what happened to Ty Lee though. Didn't she say she had 6 identical sisters too? You'd figure just by odds alone we'd see one of them in Korra! 😂

It is kind of strange that there is no mention of Sokka and Suki's kid/s...nor even the Kyoshi Warriors. Also, canonically all people born to the Air Nation are airbenders due to their strong spiritual connections. Which does make it curious that Aang had a nonbender child...Sure, he became one later, but still. I could see them having nonbenders if they became disconnected spiritually (thus a recessive bending gene occurs) however for Aang to have a nonbender is a bit strange..especially as a first born
It is explain that their were nomads that weren't benders. However they were treated like servants. And there are plenty of nonbenders giving birth to benders so why can't it be the other way around?

Honestly, I don't buy the 'Zuko being the baby-daddy' but I can buy it being either Aang or Sokka. Also, Mai and Zuko broke up in the comics while Suki and Ty-lee were working as his bodyguards. Toph got along really with a guy called Satoru, who is from the fire nation, at the starting point of Republic city.
Yeah me too, i can't see Zuko having a love interest other than Mai. I know they kinda have a toxic relationship with that on-off road, but honestly, Zuko can't see any other girls. He felt weird and wrong when Jin kissed him, and strongly denied everyone when people, even the fandom, think he has a thing with Katara, the only potential love interest I can see could be work other than Mai. And I think, he didn't have that close relationship with Toph. Among all members of Gaang, IMO he's most awkward and don't interact much with Toph and Suki

Crazy theory: Tanzin and Lynn were once in a relationship. In the first season of legend of korra, Tanzin’s now wife (forgot her name) said she confessed her love and Tanzin chose her. But what if they broke things off when Lynn realized her father was actually Aang, and they were half-siblings?

I know its mostly the style but if you look at their jaw line its almost implied. Lin looks just like Zuko. Pointed thin jaw line and nobow in her lips. And suyin doesnt even look related. Her features are softer. She still has a strong jaw but its definitely softer. Sot its absolutely possible I think they were trying to do more than hint at it.
The Suki part made me realize, we don't see a single kyoshi warrior in LOK, not with the red lotus attack and neither with Kuvira! I didn't see female white lotus agent so they didn't merge w/ other institution, and also don't feel like they would stay as Zuko's bodyguards forever... 🤔
I have a feeling that they didn't do much recruiting and died off when Suki and her group of friends got older. When we first see the Kyoshi Warriors I believe they were all about the same age, so if they didn't keep bringing in younger ladies then they'd all be retired now. You would think that would get mentioned at some point, but I guess Korra is a whole new world.
Aang is Suyin Beifong's Father. Exhibit "A" Opal Beifong. Now before you say that Aang wouldn't do that to Katara, or that she wouldn't allow it... consider this... Blood bending is a thing that Katara knows. If Toph wanted another child and asked Katara, the water bender could have easily just bent Aang's dna into her.(Think on it clinically, don't make it weird) It would make sense that Toph refused to tell them who their parents were believing that it shouldn't matter to THEM if one was the child of the Avatar, but not willing to outright lie to them about it. Aang of course would respect her choice on how to raise them especially given that Suyin wasn't an airbender. We have heard of his failings as a parent in both Korra season 2 and the Legacy's book describing their family history. Naturally, Toph's Earth nature would be more dominant, and thus their child would be an earth bender too, however she would still be able to pass it on. Especially if we look at the theory that all the "New" airbenders were actually just recessive descendants, awakened by the spiritual density of the harmonic convergence. On a side note, it is said that women often choose the same types of men that they see their mothers choose. Lin Beifong got along "Great" with Aang, and even romantically pursued Tenzin. presumably after Suyin was sent to live with her grandmother. As we've seen in flashbacks. Suyin was always difficult to control and refused to follow the rules, choosing FUN over responsibility. (Does this reminder us of any penguin sledders?) We learned that during her childhood and young adult life, Suyin had several different adventures including sailing on a pirate ship, joining a traveling circus, and living in a sandbender commune. Traveling the world just like a nomad. She is shown to be more accepting of pretty much any other culture or way of life, just as the air nomads were described as by Kya in the comics. When we first see Zoufu, we see that she has made metal bending far more versatile than either Lin or their mother. Using it even as a form of dancing. (Anyone remember Aang's day in the fire nation education system?) Then, Suyin's youngest child Opal, is revealed to be an airbender. In Korra, it is said that she is a natural. Korra's tone even implying almost disbelievingly so. What if she had her air bending longer than everyone thought? And her mother only made it public when the other airbenders began popping up? They could have kept the secret in Zoufu the entire time, and it would explain why Opal was never allowed to leave. As well as why no one else seemed too excited about the revelation. Further, this would also explain how and why Toph and Suyin made up. This was only said to have been "Years ago" not how many... But definitely AFTER she settled down and built Zoufu. One day her daughter begins airbending and Suyin finally figures out who her dad is. In doing so realizing WHY neither of them were told. So she goes to Toph for confirmation and they work things out. It also explains why Toph was willing to just drop Lin's dad's name on Bolin so easily, and why Opal didn't seem curious in the slightest about her mom's dad when she did so. Please let me know what you think.

The Fangirl, So for the Zuko one, If you read the comics Mai broke up with Zuko Because and I quote “You seem to love your secrets more then me”(or something). So Mai left not that long after the end of the show.
She was with both of the boys on and off as both was single for years it was a long time before any of them did end up with the people they did love. They did not have any real means so 1 time = a baby more are less. Zuko is waiting for her to return one day that is why he is with no one. She never did tell Sokka or he would have stayed with her as she wanted him to be happy as she wanted to be free being with no more person semi. She was treated like a pretty bird in a cage so all she wanted to ever do was fly.
I think one of the fathers could be Satoru. He was in the 3rd comic series. Toph and him seemed to have hitted off pretty well. Also his hair is very similar to both her daughters. Toph has straigh hair and her daughter have a more wavy or curly type of hair.
I think Toph should have ended up with Ty Lee , I think they match each other very much in the people they are. They did not give her anyone and they should have but she is the best person for her out of the semi main cast. In the original series Toph was 11 and Zuko was 14. By the end of the series I'd say Toph was 12 or 13 and Zuko was 15 or 16. So I doubt one the father's being Zuko because having him impregnate Toph would be pretty sus.
yeh no i completely disagree, tophs fathers are just two random people. zuko ended up with mai, his daughter acts exactly like her. sokka can't be su's father because that would make tenzen and her cousins, despite them never speaking to each other in any way that would hint it. but it would also mean tenzen dated his COUSIN'S OLDER HALF SISTER, and no one said anything about it.
I prefer just one clear opction .Most possibly ,logic and very good as many fans speculated,including me. That Toph suprisingly fell in love with Teo,get maried him and after a short time when Lin and Sue born he died so she had to get back to work at the police,for support her broken family and not pain to much because of loss her husband. And like... WHERE are the suburbs on the map? Republic City took over the Fire Nation Colonies, the Water Tribe is all walled up with no known housing outside of their forts, the Earth Kingdom is also very territorial, and the Fire Nation isn't a very friendly place for outsiders. So, unless Sokka decided to become an Air Accolite (however you spell that!), I don't know where he possible went!

I can kinda get behind tokka happening but only because something may have happened to suki since she's not seen or mentioned in LOK. Toph most likely had a crush on sokka as everytime she couldn't be on the earth she was holding onto him and even went to kiss him not knowing it was suki who rescued her. While it seems by s3 of atla she's mostly pushed it aside since suki is very much in the picture if something happened to suki I think with the others busy with their kids and ruling a country or aang doing his avatar duties he only really could turn to Toph during that time and he feelings reawakend and sokka may have seen her in a different light as they were no longer kids. Lin being about 50 in lok and if there is roughly 6 years between the girls sue is about 46 in lok and sokkas flashback scene he seemed to be late 40s as well. So the relationship maybe started in their 40s. Maybe sokka and toph had a more private relationship that the others didn't know about. Maybe sokka died when Sue was really young making her not remember him. Lin also being young and tokka not being in the open with their relationship wouldn't know about sokka maybe being sues dad. (rough theory. And don't think sokka would ever cheat on suki as we see how hesitant he was to originally even show he liked her back because of Yue and they only had a 2 day crush so for sokka being together with suki for years and then just letting a long distance relationship affect their relationship doesn't seem fiting considering they had done the long distance relationship for a bit when they were young) we know mai and zuko broke up I think twice in the comics. At least once. Mai did move on with another guy but they eventually broke up too so maybe her and zuko got together again as it seemed zuko never stopped caring for her. Maybe she was izumis mother in the end. Zuko never seemed to get very close with toph based on atla s3 and the comics that followed. They are friends but not super close. I also don't think toph was flirty with zuko as yeah she wanted to get to know him and relate to him it was mainly because everyone else was able to get some sort of closure on their fieldtrips with him so when she didn't get that she was disappointed but moved on. The only other conversation I remember them really having was about his uncle and that was to cheer him up so no flirtyness. I think Izumi is just a tense but confident person. She has still a lot of fire nation wrongfulness to make up for so she got stressed even thinking about joining a war but stood her ground. As for zuko slouching Its just because he's old. I think his and izumis relationship is fine. Probably not the best but fine none the less. I think Kanto was a real guy that toph had a fling with who was a non Bender from either fire nation or earth Kingdom to give Lin more of a strong hot head than her mother. It didn't last because he likely wanted more than toph di or he wasn't a good person in the end making him not worth mentioning. Toph not wanting to settle down moved on with her life only to find out she was pregnant. Like I said maybe he wasn't a good person in the end and toph being strong headed was prepared to be a single mom and didn't need anyone else. She could prove she could do it herself. Her always having a Rocky relationship (no pun intended) with her parents made her not understand why it was so important to Lin to know who her dad was. If he was a bad person maybe she wanted to spare Lin the pain and only mentioned his name when she was a lot older because he was likely passed on and Lin was old enough to understand. That's my take on it anyways.

I love the questions that you’re asking because it promotes and encourages wonder… but it also shows the flaws in the legend of Korra and how all those loose ends were left maybe for a reason and it almost seems like something happened where the creators just took a different direction(just my theory)

Before the mouse potion the witches game seemed to be more tormenting kids, so it's hard to guess. She could have made him into a sidewalk chalk drawing or a tree with his face in it. Although, she obviously didn't get ahold of Luke's dad as a kid or else Luke probably wouldn't be here today.

What I've heard that the writers have said is that Sokka isn't dead in LoK, he moved to the suburbs with Suki. However, that's all kind of worthless unless they make a comic about it or something like that, because the show and current comics do not bother with ANY of that information!

This is what I've always wanted to know. How come they haven't revealed it.
If they get people to talk about it, it builds free hype for the show. So, sometimes no clear answer is the best move from a promotional standpoint.
Some things got revealed in the comics, like what happened to Zukos mother and I think Tophs parents, but I haven't read all comics.
They like to leave things for people to wonder and talk about, if they answer all the questions then people will lose intrest

I'm admittedly more of a SokkaxToph shipper than SokkaxSuki, not that I don't like Suki or her being with Sokka, I do, I just think Sokka and Toph are REALLY cute; it's the scene where Toph almost drowns in 'The Serpent's Pass' and some stuff in the finale that sell me on it -also Sokka and Suki are teenagers in a long distance relationship, what's really the likelihood that that's gonna work out, hmm?
and I've actually come to really appreciate little touches of realism in my fantasy stories, especially when it comes to romance; it pulls me into the story far more than if things go smoothly and wrap up in a neat little bow at the end. I think that might be why I don't have as much of a problem with LoK and what it tries to do than a lot of other people tend to
I think I'm in the same boat, I like Suki, but we seemed almost like a consolation prize after Yue became the moon. Sokka had already forgotten Suki even existed! But at least with Toph, she's an amazing Earth bender, but she does have some things that leave her vulnerable because she can't see, and that would make Sokka a really good partner for Toph since he's got a bit of a complex from not being a bender (so he'd at least have some niche to fill by helping Toph on the few times she needs it). With Suki and Sokka, Suki doesn't need him at all, which, with a personality like Sokka's, that could also strain their relationship quickly.
It'd be so interesting if Zuko was Lins dad. I like this theory. Also, i kinda like how lin and suyin have different dads. Not many cartoons do that
You're right, it is almost bizarre to see a cartoon where siblings have different dads and their mother is happily unmarried. I wish more shows would have that dynamic and help erase the stigma for non-traditional families.
One thing about toph she was always kept down under strict control and wanted freedom. I think the reason why we don’t see their fathers is bc she let them make the choice to not be tied down to their kids and let them have freedom. Personally I think Sokka is Suyins father because it just makes sense to me. Plus I feel like Toph didn’t want to tie down sokka or she could have kept it hidden. Since sokka was busy with being the Southern Water tribe Chief and Council member she probably didn’t want to take that away from him. She also was a single mother before without the help of Lin’s father so it wouldn’t be a surprise if she kept it from Sokka
I like to think Suyin's dad is that mechanic Toph met in The Rift comic.
That would be interesting, but the comics get into such strange territory since some of them were written AFTER Legend of Korra came out so it's hard to know what they thought up when.

But it would make sense if Suyin's dad was someone as creative and innovative as Satoru considering they both have a lot in common, including their similar hairstyles and olive skin tone. And I feel like Toph would get together with someone she knows after her failed relationship with Kanto.
But even if that were not the intention, they can still do a lot of things retroactively. I mean, originally Roku had nothing to do with Sozin until the writers made them close friends in Book 3 of ATLA.

AAAAHHHH! I KNEW YOU WOULD DO A THEORY ON TOPH! Toph is my favorite character in Avatar the Last Airbender! I even drew a red panda character who wears an outfit similar to Toph's, only she is blind in one eye after having a tragedy with a couple of bullies when she was little.

It is kind of strange that there is no mention of Sokka and Suki's kid/s...nor even the Kyoshi Warriors.
Also, canonically all people born to the Air Nation are airbenders due to their strong spiritual connections. Which does make it curious that Aang had a nonbender child...Sure, he became one later, but still. I could see them having nonbenders if they became disconnected spiritually (thus a recessive bending gene occurs) however for Aang to have a nonbender is a bit strange..especially as a first born
It is explain that their were nomads that weren't benders. However they were treated like servants. And there are plenty of nonbenders giving birth to benders so why can't it be the other way around?

Also, Mai and Zuko broke up in the comics while Suki and Ty-lee were working as his bodyguards. Toph got along really with a guy called Satoru, who is from the fire nation, at the starting point of Republic city.
Yeah me too, i can't see Zuko having a love interest other than Mai. I know they kinda have a toxic relationship with that on-off road, but honestly, Zuko can't see any other girls. He felt weird and wrong when Jin kissed him, and strongly denied everyone when people, even the fandom, think he has a thing with Katara, the only potential love interest I can see could be work other than Mai.
And I think, he didn't have that close relationship with Toph. Among all members of Gaang, IMO he's most awkward and don't interact much with Toph and Suki

I know its mostly the style but if you look at their jaw line its almost implied. Lin looks just like Zuko. Pointed thin jaw line and nobow in her lips. And suyin doesnt even look related. Her features are softer. She still has a strong jaw but its definitely softer. Sot its absolutely possible I think they were trying to do more than hint at it.
The Suki part made me realize, we don't see a single kyoshi warrior in LOK, not with the red lotus attack and neither with Kuvira! I didn't see female white lotus agent so they didn't merge w/ other institution, and also don't feel like they would stay as Zuko's bodyguards forever... 🤔
I have a feeling that they didn't do much recruiting and died off when Suki and her group of friends got older. When we first see the Kyoshi Warriors I believe they were all about the same age, so if they didn't keep bringing in younger ladies then they'd all be retired now. You would think that would get mentioned at some point, but I guess Korra is a whole new world.
Aang is Suyin Beifong's Father. Exhibit "A" Opal Beifong.
Now before you say that Aang wouldn't do that to Katara, or that she wouldn't allow it... consider this... Blood bending is a thing that Katara knows. If Toph wanted another child and asked Katara, the water bender could have easily just bent Aang's dna into her.(Think on it clinically, don't make it weird)
It would make sense that Toph refused to tell them who their parents were believing that it shouldn't matter to THEM if one was the child of the Avatar, but not willing to outright lie to them about it. Aang of course would respect her choice on how to raise them especially given that Suyin wasn't an airbender. We have heard of his failings as a parent in both Korra season 2 and the Legacy's book describing their family history.
Naturally, Toph's Earth nature would be more dominant, and thus their child would be an earth bender too, however she would still be able to pass it on. Especially if we look at the theory that all the "New" airbenders were actually just recessive descendants, awakened by the spiritual density of the harmonic convergence.
On a side note, it is said that women often choose the same types of men that they see their mothers choose. Lin Beifong got along "Great" with Aang, and even romantically pursued Tenzin. presumably after Suyin was sent to live with her grandmother.
As we've seen in flashbacks. Suyin was always difficult to control and refused to follow the rules, choosing FUN over responsibility. (Does this reminder us of any penguin sledders?)
We learned that during her childhood and young adult life, Suyin had several different adventures including sailing on a pirate ship, joining a traveling circus, and living in a sandbender commune. Traveling the world just like a nomad. She is shown to be more accepting of pretty much any other culture or way of life, just as the air nomads were described as by Kya in the comics.
When we first see Zoufu, we see that she has made metal bending far more versatile than either Lin or their mother. Using it even as a form of dancing. (Anyone remember Aang's day in the fire nation education system?)
Then, Suyin's youngest child Opal, is revealed to be an airbender. In Korra, it is said that she is a natural. Korra's tone even implying almost disbelievingly so. What if she had her air bending longer than everyone thought? And her mother only made it public when the other airbenders began popping up? They could have kept the secret in Zoufu the entire time, and it would explain why Opal was never allowed to leave. As well as why no one else seemed too excited about the revelation.
Further, this would also explain how and why Toph and Suyin made up. This was only said to have been "Years ago" not how many... But definitely AFTER she settled down and built Zoufu. One day her daughter begins airbending and Suyin finally figures out who her dad is. In doing so realizing WHY neither of them were told. So she goes to Toph for confirmation and they work things out. It also explains why Toph was willing to just drop Lin's dad's name on Bolin so easily, and why Opal didn't seem curious in the slightest about her mom's dad when she did so.

The Fangirl, So for the Zuko one, If you read the comics Mai broke up with Zuko Because and I quote “You seem to love your secrets more then me”(or something). So Mai left not that long after the end of the show.
She was with both of the boys on and off as both was single for years it was a long time before any of them did end up with the people they did love. They did not have any real means so 1 time = a baby more are less. Zuko is waiting for her to return one day that is why he is with no one. She never did tell Sokka or he would have stayed with her as she wanted him to be happy as she wanted to be free being with no more person semi. She was treated like a pretty bird in a cage so all she wanted to ever do was fly.

I think one of the fathers could be Satoru. He was in the 3rd comic series. Toph and him seemed to have hitted off pretty well. Also his hair is very similar to both her daughters. Toph has straigh hair and her daughter have a more wavy or curly type of hair.

In the original series Toph was 11 and Zuko was 14. By the end of the series I'd say Toph was 12 or 13 and Zuko was 15 or 16. So I doubt one the father's being Zuko because having him impregnate Toph would be pretty sus.

That Toph suprisingly fell in love with Teo,get maried him and after a short time when Lin and Sue born he died so she had to get back to work at the police,for support her broken family and not pain to much because of loss her husband. When they grew up she just became workaholic,to not tell her daughters about their father and steofather ,forgot the past,relased from their personal bonds and let girls be free.Doesn't know that it can hurt them like anything else. .So to be more close to her and improve her as her dream child(same as Azula in atla) also became apolice woman,Sue was diffrent and new that it couldn't work so choose a difrent path. One thing I always liked about legend if korra is it's idea of "obvious fairytale romance does not work" like Korra and mako "yea it's like zatara again with opposites attract" falls apart as soon as the couple has one argument

Honestly, both of them have resemblances. But Suyin looks exactly like Sokka. I thought the first daughter would be Sokka's and Toph had a kid with a different man. Lin have the hairline of the water tribe. I thought Toph was a heartbroken character even if she a tough one. She was left lonely after her boyfriend or lover left. I feel like both men left her for someone else. She rather distance herself and live far from others, have freedom. What I thought, is maybe they hooked up with her or gave her chance and left her. 😢

I can kinda get behind tokka happening but only because something may have happened to suki since she's not seen or mentioned in LOK. Toph most likely had a crush on sokka as everytime she couldn't be on the earth she was holding onto him and even went to kiss him not knowing it was suki who rescued her. While it seems by s3 of atla she's mostly pushed it aside since suki is very much in the picture if something happened to suki I think with the others busy with their kids and ruling a country or aang doing his avatar duties he only really could turn to Toph during that time and he feelings reawakend and sokka may have seen her in a different light as they were no longer kids. Lin being about 50 in lok and if there is roughly 6 years between the girls sue is about 46 in lok and sokkas flashback scene he seemed to be late 40s as well. So the relationship maybe started in their 40s. Maybe sokka and toph had a more private relationship that the others didn't know about. Maybe sokka died when Sue was really young making her not remember him. Lin also being young and tokka not being in the open with their relationship wouldn't know about sokka maybe being sues dad. (rough theory. And don't think sokka would ever cheat on suki as we see how hesitant he was to originally even show he liked her back because of Yue and they only had a 2 day crush so for sokka being together with suki for years and then just letting a long distance relationship affect their relationship doesn't seem fiting considering they had done the long distance relationship for a bit when they were young) we know mai and zuko broke up I think twice in the comics. At least once. Mai did move on with another guy but they eventually broke up too so maybe her and zuko got together again as it seemed zuko never stopped caring for her. Maybe she was izumis mother in the end. Zuko never seemed to get very close with toph based on atla s3 and the comics that followed. They are friends but not super close. I also don't think toph was flirty with zuko as yeah she wanted to get to know him and relate to him it was mainly because everyone else was able to get some sort of closure on their fieldtrips with him so when she didn't get that she was disappointed but moved on. The only other conversation I remember them really having was about his uncle and that was to cheer him up so no flirtyness. I think Izumi is just a tense but confident person. She has still a lot of fire nation wrongfulness to make up for so she got stressed even thinking about joining a war but stood her ground. As for zuko slouching Its just because he's old. I think his and izumis relationship is fine. Probably not the best but fine none the less. I think Kanto was a real guy that toph had a fling with who was a non Bender from either fire nation or earth Kingdom to give Lin more of a strong hot head than her mother. It didn't last because he likely wanted more than toph di or he wasn't a good person in the end making him not worth mentioning. Toph not wanting to settle down moved on with her life only to find out she was pregnant. Like I said maybe he wasn't a good person in the end and toph being strong headed was prepared to be a single mom and didn't need anyone else. She could prove she could do it herself. Her always having a Rocky relationship (no pun intended) with her parents made her not understand why it was so important to Lin to know who her dad was. If he was a bad person maybe she wanted to spare Lin the pain and only mentioned his name when she was a lot older because he was likely passed on and Lin was old enough to understand. That's my take on it anyways.
I did see something from a chapter book type of thing where Toph was flirting alone with Sokka and he wasn't picking up on it. She got so upset!

It’s a bizarre theory to suggest that Kanto is Zuko when Kanto is probably just some random dude that Toph had a fling with and it didn’t work out and Zuko was never into Toph it was just a one sided crush that Toph had and I don’t see Zuko cheating on Mai and becoming a deadbeat father who leaves his kids and as far I know he only has one daughter according to the Korra family tree not two and he isn’t listed as Lins father a random dude called Kanto is and theres more proof that Mai is izumis mother than there is for Zuko being Lins father and I think Mai and Zuko got back together again because the writers of comics they say that they got back together and Izumi looks like Mai and her name means fountain and theres hints in the comics that they still have feelings for each other and as for the theory Sokka is Suylins dad it makes more sense than the other theory because Suyins kind of looks like Sokka and her grandson looks like a lot like him but that would mean that Sokka and Suki broke up which be would be sad since i hoped that grew old together and ended up together and had kids so I hope isn’t true since it would make him a deadbeat dad that leaves his kid but I don’t think Suylins father is Sokka i think it’s the guy with curly hair in the comics i forgot what his name was but Suyin looks more like him than she does Sokka and it isn’t a one sided crush like with Sokka it seems like their both into each other
I love the questions that you’re asking because it promotes and encourages wonder… but it also shows the flaws in the legend of Korra and how all those loose ends were left maybe for a reason and it almost seems like something happened where the creators just took a different direction(just my theory)

In the film the Witches, the Grandma says that she is Luke’s FATHER’s Mother, so do you think that the Grand High Witch would have targeted Luke’s father as a child to get revenge on his mother? If so, what would she have done to him?
Before the mouse potion the witches game seemed to be more tormenting kids, so it's hard to guess. She could have made him into a sidewalk chalk drawing or a tree with his face in it. Although, she obviously didn't get ahold of Luke's dad as a kid or else Luke probably wouldn't be here today.

What I've heard that the writers have said is that Sokka isn't dead in LoK, he moved to the suburbs with Suki. However, that's all kind of worthless unless they make a comic about it or something like that, because the show and current comics do not bother with ANY of that information!
