I never read things about the new farm... so I didn't know anything about it, but of course, I wanted to give it a play. So I spent 3 hours playing and having such a good time. On day 3 I finally discovered the chicks. Oops! I had been so busy looking around town and meeting people that I didn't check out my farm right away... then I discovered I had 2 little chicks starving to death in a chicken coop I didn't know I had. 🙃 I love that there is a straight line from next to the greenhouse south to Marnie's area. It makes it so much easier to find my way home after wandering the woods all night. 🤣
Oh those poors chicks! Haha but it's ok, now you can feed them and love them! Yes, the straight line from Marnies is a life saver!

I haven't played SV for a while but jumped in yesterday with a new farm. I love it, it's so picturesque! I can't wait to just take it slow and enjoy some farming and those adorable chickens! :)

Great video! I know you said you’re fairly experienced with Stardew but I noticed something that may help you. You didn’t have to toss the mixed seeds into the trash when making the chest; if you are holding an item and click outside the inventory window you’ll instead toss the item on the ground so that you can pick it up later. 😊

I am 100% enjoying this update!
For me, so far, I am liking the new things. It tends to make some early gameplay easier, like the fish "jell" and the ocean fish Jelly you get for energy. but it is still hard to remain unexhausted and to move around quickly, to get things done. You reallly need to fish a lot to get early money. The crops won't do it. It sues more energry to water the early crops and chop wood down, than it is to fish.
Very true. I just pick and choose when to spend all my energy cleaning stuff up. I don’t worry about money earning in the first season because it’s just so difficult.
