Very beautiful continuation of vidéos with always this superb quality of image and choice of the sites. Thanks Austin . The country is very pleasant. Friendly. Philippe
Superb shots as ever Austin in this mini-series. The Llangollen always seems to put on a good show and there's plenty of climbs to catch a loco working. Not to mention the scenery. Chris
Indeed it is, very picturesque. The name 44806 carries is Kenneth Aldcroft who owned the loco for 35 years and was named in commemoration after he died in 2003. You may remember she was once 'adopted' by the childrens TV programme 'Magpie' and carried that name for some years
That is a brilliant presentation there Austin, loved every bit of it,gave me a start though at the begining,i forgot how loud you like your mic turned up LOL. Superb.........John
Thanks Bob, Garth-Y-Dwr is a wonderful spot where you can escape the noise from the busy A5. The farmer only charges £2.00 to park in the field and there are lots of different angles from which to film. A very pleasant way to while away a few hours.
Thanks, stupidly I had forgotten that 80072 was on an express and had set the camera up purely to film the departure, it was too late to turn the camera round when I realised she wasn't stopping! I can't help you about 3802's tender, perhaps they have swapped temporarily with another locos.
It's a beautiful line Austin and the shots at Garth-Y-Dwr were stunning..what a find...I enjoyed every minute as always....Bob

Thanks very much, I like that shot too, probably the best of the bunch for me.

Thanks very much Steve, the scenery and a bit of good light does help when filming. We both know it doesn't always happen.
2 excellent videos there Austin. Weather was lovely, engines looked good. And looks as though it was a good event.
Jeff
Fantastic clips Austin, loved the first shot was so dramatic!
Hope you had an enjoyable day. Simon
Nice coverage and clarity. Great shot of 80072 and 42968 at 7:00.
Thanks Simon, yes very enjoyable day especially down at Garth- y - dwr, lovely spot to sit and watch trains go by.

Thanks Chris, it will be even better once the extension to Corwen eventually opens. What a shame they can't go the other way as well, to Ruabon.
Many thanks, glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks for that information.
Exellent part1+2 must try and get down there again..Last time i was there they had Flying Scotsman, must be near 20 years ago.....
Thanks very much, yes I have some footage of Flying Scotsman there in BR green, around 1993-4 I think.

Thanks John, that volume was pretty low for me I thought!!
nice shots of llangollen mate
i love 80072 speeding though berwyn and also the 38xx does not have a high sided tender or do they?
Thanks Jeff, yes thoroughly enjoyable. Were you firing 44806 on the Saturday as planned?
Remercie Philippe, il est une région très scénique du Pays de Galles.
That's a very pleasant line, isn't it. What's the nameplate on 44806?
@acw71000 Yes, did 1 round trip firing! Very enjoyable.
@acw71000 That's what we could do with more of Austin, entrepreneurial Farmers...I shall have to look out for that if I'm ever up that away...Bob
