Thanks m8. You bring a touch of class with your videos. Can’t imagine my Diablo 3/4 journey without your channel.
Right? I don't know what diablo would be like without this guy at this point.
Hope you all have a great week
What is this?! Kindness?! (Gags)
You too!!!!
True king behavior
Don't tell me what to do.
I have been watching a few D4 streamers for feedback and summarization of changes since pre-release. You have been and still are the best - both in information provided and simple yet interesting presentation style. Keep up the good work, my man.
I played roughly 5 hours of season 3 and put it down, after playing countless hours on season 2 with multiple characters. I swore I would not pick the game up again until they did a huge revamp like this. Didn’t play the PTR, but from what I’ve seen I think D4 might be saved. I can’t wait until May 14!!
Yeah i played season 2 way more than 1 and 3, im glad they're bringing things back from it
Same.
Personally did not the game before, and tried PTR and still don't like it. But I am happy for people who like the changes and are looking forward to season 4.
'course a "PTR" isn't really "P"ersistent if they don't leave it up.
@@glow4417then why are you watching this
Easy to understand. Clear and concise. As always thank you!
I'm happier with the loot changes than I ever could be with any season theme
True
Thats just the thing, tempering and masterworking is a far deeper system than any previous seasonal theme combined.
Theres so much to it i could sit here and type out just how insane of a change this is for the future of the game but, hopefully if you're here watching rhykker you already know lol
Agreed. Not to mention each season has been far deeper than any season in D3. You know, like the entire season being “you can use all weapon slots in Kanai’s cube!” Cool… these seasons have been far more interesting.
This is better to watch than the official event! Tnx
This season seems like a new tone. I hope they keep this energy up, this is looking like a huge positive direction shift. So hyped for S4
Great coverage as always! I am very excited about the season! There were actually a few things I think are worth mentioning or clarifying:
1. Obols - just for clarity, not only will Obols roll 925 at level 100, they have the same chance for greater affixes as any other drop. So they are even MORE amazing!
2. Greater Affixes - they did not make a big enough deal about this, but after the PTR, they DID make a way for you to tell an item has a greater affix in your inventory. Not only do the items have a sun after their name on the ground, but in your inventory there is a sun symbol on the top of the item icon. They showed it in the live stream, but they barely mentioned it. I think this is an even better solution than a new color for the reason you mentioned.
3. Mind Cages - mind cages ONLY affect the person that uses one; not the group. Also, mind cages do not stack, so you can't get anything more than 10 levels and it will only reset the 60 minute duration. It will not add to it.
4. Pit Difficulty - they were talking over each other a bit, but they did say they actually added one more thing to the difficulty. If I understood correctly, the mobs level will no longer cap out at dungeon level 100. They will now go past that. I am pretty sure they said this but others can confirm.
5. Season journey - In this season, one of the things you can invest in as part of the free battle pass is extra GLYPH xp.
Thanks as always for these recaps. It is so much information that it can be hard to absorb especially with all of the side tracking and talking over one another they do.
Yes, well said! Although, I wouldn't mind the ability to set a different colour/sound depending on how many greater affixes an item has when it drops :)
As always, a great recap! Thanks for the information, this will be much better for us who can't play 12 hours a day!
Yes good change but!! If time doesn’t = power than what does 😅😊 money?
@@zometthecomet bro you cry A LOT
I think the Greater Affixes thing should just be a pulse that travels up the pillar of light for the item. It doesn't have to be dramatic, but it's something that alters the beam without necessarily altering the color.
I'm almost as stoked as I was for the initial game release.
I'll definitely be checking it out. Haven't played since I made about level 80 in season 3. In the mean-time, I went back to D3 and did season 31 and had a TON of fun!
The open cube is loads of fun
Great report Rhykker. I can't wait to see the changes next season.
Glad they did the PTR. Looking forward to see the final product. I'm in for season 4.
Hey Rhykker! Been a bit, FableFortitude here -- been watching for years, been in your stream for years. Haven't been able to catch up but glad to see you're still plugging away. Love the content and keep up the good work. You look exhausted though man, get your 8 hours so you can take this season by storm!
Thank you for the very informative wrap-up of the campfire chat. It think saved is too early but it is a very promissing start (s.o. said it is finally the end of the beta, and this is how it feels).
Yeah was waiting for this one. It's looking really good. Thanks Rhykker, see you in the helltide.
I think Iron Wolves will play a major roll in expansion they are setting it up now.
That would be cool
Yeah, especially since they're also bringing them into the eternal realm
Definitely pumped for S4, almost feels like we have a new game to learn with all the new systems. Can't wait to watch my golem one-shot bosses let's go!
@Rhykker
How does the rouges Kiss feel on a controller where picking far targets from a crowd doesn’t work so well? Thoughts?
Never gave up on D4 so I feel redeemed with this season. I think this season will bring the game to a positive zero ground it should've been at launch. Next season is crucial tho, if they expand on all the positives from this season and fix for example the paragon system or talents for that matter then we can say the game is saved. Also if the next season theme is something really cool those are some serious brownie points
Your recaps are always the best!!!! Thank you🎉
Increasing the quality of the gamble NPC aslo increaseth the value of the open World.
Thine value dost increaseth.
I would fix the gambling with an emote. When she says that patronizing Oooohhhh bad luck! Emote: Slap! You give her the ol back of the hand, gamble again and Voila! Legendary drop! Make it a mini game!
Thou speaketh noble truth
@@DanielgunKim "eth" is third form :)) For second one is "est". Although, sometimes I use "eth" for "they" because it's comfortable for russian.
Well put.
Great commentary, thank you. Eagerly waiting for s4
I distinctly remember stepping into my first dungeons in D2, and actually feeling scared of what was to come. Just imagine how I felt when Andariel came rushing through those doors in Act 1.
I know I've aged a bit since then, but I haven't had that feeling in D4. I'd like a couple of tailor made dungeons (including monster encounters). One in each region. I'd also like some 'Tristram cathedral dungeons' scattered around. Dungeons where you can go down (or up, I'm not that picky) ten or so levels, with increasing difficulty. A small town nearby to stock up. And some lore to top it all off. Something to keep me occupied. So basically five diablo 1's all rolled into d4.
Yes please
I had that feeling when D4 was still new and we were still exploring. When the Butcher showed up, me, my partner, and our friend were running around (ingame) screaming.
Also some time later I was playing solo and one of the dungeons I was in was just oozing atmosphere along with the music; I honestly had D1 vibes for a bit there and thought “more of this, please.”
w00t bonus mid-week wrap up video!
I had to wait for you to drop the vid .
It’s only right . Been watching since the old d3 vids . 🔥
man i cannot wait for the 14th
Nice, you got the video up.
This news definitely is what will get me back into the game from vanilla. I’m a Diablo fan and it seems like FINALLY they’re addressing the issues. Also this dropping 2 days after my birthday is a banger
Happy bday in advance
Question: Will the "Haedrig's Gift" season journey reward be available only once in total, or once for every class? In D3 it was once in total, but from the campfire chat, it wasn't clarified, and some sentences made it sound like you might get it for every class.
Bonus question: If you can only get the gift once in total, is it possible to complete the journey on one class, for example a Barbarian, without claiming the reward, and then log into another class and claim the reward for that class instead? (And does the reward scale with level so that you're essentially punished for claiming it at low levels?)
The reason is that I want to play a Barbarian first, but I don't care about the Barbarian gift (Dust Devils), but I do care about the Necromancer gift (Minion Master), which I would like to have for later.
I think it'll be once account-wide but all aspects will get added to the codex of power so you can use them on alts
I've been asking around but my friend brought it up. Will uber unique roll with greater affixed or craft them with greater affix.
I had normal uniques on PTR with Greater Affixes, and I believe Ubers will get them as well. But you can't craft Greater Affixes in general, those are always random (if my memory is correct)
Thanks for the summary, Rhykker. I do much better processing the changes when you summarize them here, as opposed to watching the Campfire Chats myself, or spending time investigating things on the PTR.
I feel that everyone that experienced the PTR were disappointed with the campfire because they were expecting more than they got from the PTR. However those expectations were self serving and that lead to the disappointment. Other than that the game is in a way better place than it’s ever been and is only going to get better. I personally just wish there was a seasonal theme that was more than a H’s gift/lunar festival reborn vibe. Overall though I’m excited for season 4: Loot reborn
For real idc this season about some weird powers or systems. The changes look amazing and really seems like it's going to put d4 in an awesome place.
Bruh it's a Diablo game with no Diablo.
In this season (season 3), the senechal construct honestly quickly reached a point where I just forgot about it. Once I got the runes for it that I needed, I stopped paying attention to it. So given that there are a lot of changes already, I don't think we'll be missing a seasonal power.
If we get a season 5 before the expansion hits, that season will have to have some really cool mechanic and season theme if they want people to care about it once they get used to the loot rework and are waiting for the expansion.
The expectations was that, the diablo team said there was much more then what was in the ptr, they set themselfs up for failure, by lying to the players that there was a season theme and there isn't.
@@andrewjohnson5365 Diablo has become a franchise and isn't exclusive to the character. Not that hard to understand.
can we salvage legacy legendaries to get their aspects on the codex on season 4 or should we extract them now?
I have a question. Now in season 3 we must use the extract option at the occultist to extract the aspect from a legendary. In the PTR we could see in videos that you just salvage the legendaries and the aspect goes to the codex. Now there's new information stating that old legendaries will be transformed in legacy legendaries when season 4 start. My question is. Should I extract the aspects in my bank before season 4 starts? Or should I just wait and salvage everything after season 4 starts. Reason for asking is it's not clear if "legacy legendaries" will give an aspect once salvaged.
i got re-hyped during the PTR i'll see with the new changes if that stands
cant wait for the new season
Can't wait to get back into it! Season 3 didn't catch my attention and I just stopped playing but since they first announced the new item system, I've been itching to get back in.
All you guys beta testing this game are doing a great job. Think it might be worth checking back in at the start of next year. Getting hyped for the full release
Can't wait I skipped out on season 3 but season 4 caught my attention hopefully I can make my bleed build super viable 😊
Greater affixes have the beam flicker or pulse perhaps
I put down D4 on Season 3 but I might pick it back up just to see this new PTR on Season 4
Hey Rhykker, ... Yes, this saves DB4 in a major way. ... I have been watching the steady progress from Season 1, on. ... I (like most of us), was very disappointed with all the quality of life things we needed that were clearly missing. ... End Game (for me), was there, but too stream lined that everything was getting redundant. ... But, that being said, after this Dev. Influencer Tour, I also see the game now from their eyes and now understand what they see as End Game. This alone has helped me to see the Game Play intended and what is truly possible to play the game with a lot of choices. I stepped away from the game after Season 3, started and now getting ready for Season 4, I now wish I played Season 3, more. ... Then there is this Dev. Influencer Tour. Who does this, lol :) ... Amazing. The fact that the Dev.'s were willing to reach out and actually listen to the Audience, then incorporate, implement the responses to make the game as the Player would desire, ... Crazy . Very kewl. ... I have never seen this happen in my entire time of gaming (16 years). This alone gives me the motivation to support DB4, to support all the Dev.'s have done. ... Now that we are here, all the chaos that happened to get here was so worth the process. ... I am truly excited to play Season 4, so much so I am now back playing again to be prepared for Season 4 on my Necro :) ... Thank for all you do my Brother. ... Fight Well to All.
Wow Great work thnx Rhyk and yes seas 4 I'll mos def b back
Oh man it feels like a completely different game that I'm going to have to relearn. I played the hell out of seasons 1-2, but only played season 3 for a few weeks before getting bored. Can't wait to get back into it again!
Definitely getting me to come back to the game
The changes seem good so far. I'm excited to try them out!
Maybe it would be cool to have magic items have the chance to drop with less affixes, but stronger ones, like 25-50% increase to their base that can be masterworked which would make the 50% boost even more of an upgrade. so maybe you could get a magic item that has the potential to have a ton of crit chance or something, but the drawback is you cant imprint a legendary aspect on it.
maybe for rares they can introduce something like double rares similar to grim dawn.
Thanks!
Last time I played was pre season to lvl 90 and season one to 100…Season 4 has brought me back from sure. I’m actually excited because of all the changes they have made
Whites and Blues would make for good conversion pieces for set items if ever introduced into the game.
I do have a current S3 glyph question, if anyone knows. In S4, will the S3 glyphs be viable? Is there any reason the level to 21 my S3 glyphs for my eternal character?
they are finally starting to get it, d4 has EXTREME potential
im so excited for these changes, honestly, im glad they didnt rush it and pushed it off a month to test
All these changes will be applied to non seasonal characters as well?
I believe we are heading in the right direction! 🤩
Pro vs. casual asaid, this season is more about setting the right BASE experience to build on.
Imo, pro playing shouldn’t be 80% mindless grinding (competing on who has more free time, not to learn & get better at playing but for mindless easy clicking).
What they are changing is moving away from this old strategy, hopefully to focus on real HARD end-game.. that’ll be more on skill and creativity and less on mindless grinding.
Ofcourse a level of grinding is always needed and it’s rewarding. But not just being 80% of what end game really needs.
I REALLY love being outskilled by pro players in other games because they spent lots of time getting good, they impress me.
But in diablo, I’m like: oh, so you have more hours for easy clicking? Congrats.
(Yes technically it can be hard if you go too fast in WT, but some one with more time eventually will out-click you 😂)
Now if they can just improve the connection to the servers for people who live a bit further out(Van Isle) so that I don't have consistent disconnects or massive lag spikes for no reason that'd actually make it playable for me.
What is going to happen to the stats on my current gear in eternal? Will it auto reroll?
so could hit 100% cdr? that's amazing. would that mean zero cooldown or divided by two?
100% assuming it's possible to get the last 25% from the skill tree or other non-item sources. And assuming that it all stacks additively and not multiplicatively. However I don't see how 100% could mean that it would only be halved. If you can reach 100% cdr, it should mean that however long your cooldown timer was, it now has no cooldown what so ever.
Dont question my garbage math skill lmao
Also ty.
you can't hit 100% cdr because the bonuses are reverse-multiplicative. In other words, if you're at 80%, and you get another thing giving you 20%, it's not 80% + 20% = 100%. Rather the math works like you were at 20% of base cooldown, multiplied by 80% of base cooldown, resulting in 0.2 * 0.8 = 0.16 or 16% of base cooldown, or 84% total cooldown reduction
Now we just need random aspects. That increase off of overcapped stats . Could also be paragon board glyphs
I'll give it a try and look forward to it😊
I played the heck out of s2 and s3, but when I heard about s4 I went back to D3 I'm looking forwards to my return to D4
I havent played Season 3 at all, but for Season 4 I come back and give it a shot.
Ahhh. Didn’t play S3 but in here for S4!
Been here since the Beta, can't wait.
Do you think is a good idea to return to D4? I played S1 but uninstalled it and I am wondering if I re-install it.
Never know until you give it a try and get your own opinion on it seems season 4 is fixing a lot of stuff and shit got reworked
I'm definitely going to try it out again it's looking very promising
Looking forward to season 4 (season 5) since this is only an update and not a season.
Looking forward to the changes.
i am coming back for this season, really hope i wont be disappointed again
This is legit. Excited
Is S4 only for new characters or old too?
Really looking forward to season 4 ! Maybe this time I can actually reach level 100 😅
Can't wait
I will give season 4 a try hopefully I will like it. Haven't played consistently since early season 2.
Well I played sorcerer at launch, barbarian in season 3 and I think I’m going Druid for season 4. I’d do necromancer but I hear everyone is going to be necro cause it’ll be OP.
Still suspicious that things getting rolled into generic +damage modifiers is going to make these changes less impactful/meaningful than they otherwise could have been. But I am excited to try S4 (i.e. to play D4 again) and think this is likely a massive improvement to the game.
Im really curious what the new affixes are with razorplate
According to the patch notes, it looks like it's 4 thorn affixes on razor plate plus a new unique affix that gives like a 10% chance to increase thorns damage by a multiplier
Is this the last Season before the dlc?
i played the ptr i really liked it there are certain little nit pick issues i wish worked differently but over all i think the ptr stuff and the new changes looked good to me
Glyph XP buffs and viable Necromancers.
Some good news for me.
I'm not sure how I feel about there not really being a theme for the season but I do like the changes i've seen.
Im still looking forward to the season and the new itemization. I really wish though they would take away the level cap much like did in D3 or at least make it where we can indefinitely level our glyphs.. anxious to play as dust devil barbarian and hell tides at lower levels thats gonna be fun!
Sounds interesting. I will reinstall D4 to check this out.
I will defenitly have a look at season 4 after not playing since mid season 2.
Is druid a good class?
Does anyone here experience their Ancestral Charge along with the Power Charge skill disappears or deactivates mid game? Where the solution is to reload the game thus either you die or you teleport to town and back to where you are for it to be fixed?
It would be nice if Blizzard focused more on the lore. I know that it's not the core of ARPG but IMO it was the lore among many other aspects of the game that made D2 an awesome game and unforgettable childhood experience for me.
I'm a casual player nowdays and can't wait for S4. Gonna play Black River CE Necro no matter where it ends up on the tier list.
I hope this new blight build doesnt get nerfed to the grave cause man it looks different and fun
Will you be able to also change the colour of your hair as well
Capping the armor makes my planned build possible because I no longer need juggernaut so now my build will work. The question is will we still have 85% DR with enemies lvl > 100 or will we be one shotted in high end content?
I'm gonna go back to D IV around season 6 or 7!
I'm pretty stoked for season 4. I played 3 for 2 days. Played one and 2. But 4 looks really good. Much improved.
But is it Fun?
P.s. What about the loading of stashes?:)))
Don't know if I would call it "fixed" yet; however, this upcoming season looks super promising and a massive step in the right direction. I played from launch through S1 then gave up, but this season has made me decide to come back.
I only played season 1 and stopped at lvl 50 because game loop wasn't fun. Can anyone tell me if it got improved and is worth trying again?
A lot has changed, definitely worth trying. There should be content at least for a few weeks, even though the season theme is kind of lacking.
Best and most stablished Diablo influencer. Man, I have bad memories about DIV, but only your updates actually make me want to give the game another try
