    You and I both know Marco Reps deserves a credit for that garden scene @ 5:35 lmao. Great episode, looks like fun

      Can you point me to that video by Marco, I did not mean that scene as reference to him so if it's very similar it's a funny coincidence.

      @@MAYERMAKES for sure, I'll see if I can find it, he always does the bit with his dogs "hunting" for components out in the fields and such, just reminded me of your "chips growing from flowers" concept.
      GOT IT! I remembered him talking about PPMs during this video, so I looked for the ones about precision measurements. lo and behold, it was the second video I tried!

    Considering that this thing is meant to be a weather station, a proper weathertight enclosure would be nice, of course with sensors being sheltered so they aren't affected by direct sun but are able to still get data. Also since it's going to be outside, might as well add solar to the mix so you don't have to go out there to charge it.

      the bits with the arduino and battery are actually sealed only the sensor is exposed

    Tried it with my esp32. Could load the sketch but not connect to arduino iOt cloud.
    The cloud feature looks like the blynk iOt app (now defunct)/interface which was SO good

    • @MAYERMAKES
      @MAYERMAKES 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      did you check if your esp variant is in the list of compatibles? I heard that some boards are not correctly recognized, but then uploading shopuld have not worked probably.

    the problem come when i want a wind and a pluviometer sensors, how do we collect data from this sensors on IOT cloud? thanks!

    • @MAYERMAKES
      @MAYERMAKES ปีที่แล้ว +1

      you just need to feed the data from your sensors to a variable that is synced to the iot cloud like I did in the video. nothing else needed

  • @vertogenltd-variablepitchv1168
    @vertogenltd-variablepitchv1168 ปีที่แล้ว

    Can you add a wind direction unit and anemometer

    • @MAYERMAKES
      @MAYERMAKES ปีที่แล้ว

      yep, that why its in two halves so you can easily exchange sensors.

    Would love more of these videos for Arduino IoT.

    This is a great and user-friendly project, but you're still relying on a third party for the cloud. I have my own Raspberry Pi Web server at home, and I want to do something similar without having to rely on somebody else's cloud.

    • @MAYERMAKES
      @MAYERMAKES 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      perfectly reasonable to want your own cloud! maybe we can do another version in the future thats more hardcore

      would be nice if you want to integrate your sensor with something like home automation and nodered

    This seemed like an ad for the Arduino ecosystem. No real mention of the sensors used, no circuit diagram, no real usable hardware info. This is just a bad video, guys.

    where is code??

  • @johnnz4375
    @johnnz4375 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great project if money is no problem, a 3D printer, a laser cutter, a $75 arduino board and a cripple ware cloud service, unless you pay.
    I will leave this one for the people who have plenty of money or are sponsored, too rich for me.

    • @MAYERMAKES
      @MAYERMAKES 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      the mkr wifi costs €28, you don't need a 3d printer or laser, just put it in any old jar. all the functions I showed are free on the iot cloud. your complaints are non existent.
