Luv ur videos ❣️👍🏻 also i am retired nail tech i do most of my 💅@ home but yes i use polygel w/ dual forms & my right hand is always a disaster too but more you do it better you get I have noticed that doing mine. Good Luck 🍀
@@lorece94 I totally get that!! I prefer just doing the polygel as an overlay! Still have to try using it to apply full cover tips so we’ll see how that goes 🤣
I've only ever done overlay polygel on my nails and while it's not the easiest application, it's worth it! Especially the fill in 2-3 weeks later! I fill in with builder gel and all is great.
@NicolesBeautyScene I'm two weeks in with an overlay rn. My nails are probably about the length your extensions were before you clipped them, but almond. And I can see that my cuticles need attention, I'm also tired of the sheer shimmery pink but no motivation to get started on them 😬 Pinterest has been no help lately. Too many ads. I'm not going for a valentine look until next fill in but idk what I want. What are you putting over your overlay?
@@likes.by.teri1 yep its a soak off gel like builder builder gel! And it cures hard like builder gel. The difference is that polygel is a much thicker consistency and you have to use a slip solution (like isopropyl alcohol) to move it around on your nails before curing. I still love BG, but polygel is pretty great to work with!
I tried polygel with dual forms for the first time two weeks ago. My tips were so thick! I felt like I put it on too thin, obviously not lol. I found I like builder gel better. What is your favorite lamp for curing? I really enjoy your videos!!
Thank you for the kind words Michelle!! It’s hard to get them thin - I agree!! I will always be team builder gel!! This is the lamp I use! amzn.to/3E9pGah
I literally did polygel and dual forms once and it was such a crazy sticky mess I just said F it an threw it all away except my polygel of course 😆 I still haven't tried bc it was just that bad bahahaha
@@SUGARDECLIPSENails awww no!!! It was definitely easier to do polygel extensions with paper forms and be able to see exactly where I’m applying it!! You should try with paper forms!!
@NicolesBeautyScene ill def try the forms so far I've only used forms with Acrylic but I think it would be cool to try with polygel forsure. Thanks so much hun 😘
I've been using paper forms with polygel. To be honest, I think the dual forms come out looking like fake nails. I want mine looking natural. So far, no one has thought my extensions are fake.
@@abbey428 I totally agree paper forms look more natural with polygel!! I wanted to try the dual forms again but I will be using paper forms going forward!!

Your videos are always so truthful and entertaining. I have had the same issues with polygel and eventually just gave up.
Aww thank you!!! I get it!!
We are so glad you loved it. Whoot🎉
Love seeing a real life application! Nice!

Is polygel a soft gel like builder gel? Or is it a harder stiffer gel? Which do you prefer, big or poly?

For HEMA free polygel try Pink Mask or Red Iguana. They aren’t HPMA free but I’ve yet to find one that is.
@@skim44 oh ok- I’ll have to check those out, thank you!!
You could have used a file bit underneath your nail to file the bulk off. ❤
I would have but it wasn’t too thick under there- I would have had to file at a weird angle 🤣 I’ll try again eventually!!!
😮 This is why I have never attempted this technique. 😢
It’s not as easy as people make it look!! Using paper forms was so much easier lol
