Probably the most played middle school band piece of all time. I may be wrong, but this has to be up there with the all time most played pieces. This one sounds harder than it is and that's the great thing about it. Robert Smith wrote so many great band works. R.I.P Robert. You left the world a better place with your creations.
I have fond (mostly) memories of playing this long ago in middle school! I remember my band director apologized to us because half the piece was just the note, A!
The only clarinetist as well as a few muted trumpets posing as clarinets played "Eigth x2, Quarter" instead of the correct rythm of "Quarter, Eigth x2"
We played this when I was in fifth grade. I hated the part from m13 to literally the end so I figured out how to play the saxophone part and my fellow clarinetists were not amused lol
The amount of times I hear tempest in the band room is crazy 😭 I swear I’m just playing bass and all I hear is tempest. Don’t get me wrong it’s a good song to learn, but it’s gotten so bad to the point where one of the guitarist learned how to play to in the guitar 😭

I remember playing this in High School. Me and the clarinet player next to me kept bickering over who was playing the notes wrong 😂
❤ AMAZING my fav clarinet player!!!
Can u try playing Sketches of Canada or Don Hanna (Other band music)
I played this in 5th grade (bells) and I loved this song so much
You go to PPACS?
@@amastrovI do!😊
I remember doing this in 8th grade (I’m a French Horn student btw) and it was satisfying to learn
R.I.P Robert W. Smith
I literally just saw your TikTok then went to TH-cam to search tempest clarinet and here we are 😂
Love this ❤ - fellow clarinet player
I am learning this for my band spring concert and I am having soooooo much trouble playing the large parts of stacattos 😭
I played this for all region honor band on my euphonium in 7th grade!
i played this is seventh grade for our junior band ensemble (trombonist here)
Now you should do it on bass clarinet
It’s low key kinda boring for the bass clarinet part, all we play is Low A and E for half the song

Have you seen klezmer karnival 😭
You should play dance of the thunderbolts on clarinet!
I played this in 6th grade as a bass clarinet. 12 measure rests and a bunch of low As, plus so many rests. It’s just duh… duh…. Duh duh….
Ft. Jen Dayton
I had to play this in 7th grade lol

I know my favorite note lol A
Everything seems normal her-
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-
Give percussion part
Does she look like she plays percussion?
@@Divinity_Shorts That's a rude thing to actually say... nobody ever looks like anything...just themselves. You're dumb for saying that.
@@MissM25 You were NOT part of the original conversation, I said that because she’s clearly playing the clarinet and not percussion
