Armin has to do it with other legendary DJs like Rank 1, Markus Schulz, PvD, Vincent De Moor, Above & Beyond, ATB, Talla 2XLC, Marco V, etc.
Legends! Like Corsten said on ASOT a few weeks back. New trance fills every gap. Whereas old school trance...about melodies, high hats, snares, synths, and pounding bassline. As Corsten said... sometimes Simple is better! What's up, Trance Family!
I think that we all expect a b2b between Armin and Tiesto, at least once in their lives, I think that it would be the b2b or one of the greatest of all time

Definitely. Ultra phasing out ASOT would be a huge mistake. If that happens I hope insomniac pounces on the opportunity to take dreamstate and make it a bigger part of their experience.

Anahera is like going out of body and experiencing a mythological narrative arc in seven minutes. Ferry reached into something divine with that one.
Anahera is certainly one of the most euphoric tracks of the last decade.

The great thing about Ferry is he seems to have literally no ego despite being responsible for probably more undeniably classic trance tunes than any other single producer. Love seeing them back to back. I’d love to see Tiësto up there too, but somewhere along the journey, he just got lost. ☹
Ferry is my all time favorite for the reasons you mentioned above, I was in the VIP area at the Blueprint release show in LA, I saw him walk by into a room then when he came out I leaned over and put my fist out for a fist bump and he grabbed my fist and smiled at me. It kind of struck me because of all the people there to see the show, apparently I was the only one that recognized him. The smile he gave was kind of like “I know why you’re here, I’m here for that too” not ego, just a love of the music. but also he always seems dedicated to the trance sound. There was a documentary on him around the time of blueprint and he was just so down to earth and seemed to really love the music.
He is the one and only trance master.
I think PvD has more, but yeah he's up there in that tier 🙌🏼
