Xtreme 4 sounds a bit better but honestly as everybody keeps saying the upgrades are so small for each new generation and jbl keep out selling the competition, would honestly be really cool to see the market share of each company over time in portable audio speakers. I just bought a refurbished jbl extreme 4. For 300 at amazon they offer a 2 year warranty for 26 dollars. I been doing this for years. Ive save lot of 💰. Never had an issue with refurbished electronics
X4 has the fuller mids, But its so basslight at higher volumes, X3 doesnt sounds too good but atleast retains some bass, man jbl need to Revolutionize with the x5, give the Boombox 3 or even the boom 2 setup

@@DominikReviewsalso noticed that X4 and x3 switch tunings after 70%, below 70% x3 has more upper bass and x4 more deep bass, but after 70% its the opposite
@@DominikReviews it had more Deep bass than x1 and more midbass and Upper bass than x3 and x4 yes, Only problem tbh is its loudness and less bass exstension compared to newee speakers like the boom 2 and mifa wildbox, apart from that is is still the most balanced and the middle ground of xtremes
