Thanks for the support dude, much appreciated! I think the 'bwahh' sound you're referring to is the harmonic i'm picking on the 3rd fret of the 7th string. It's hard to replicate that sound completely as the band definitely made the harmonics sound alot more 'electrical' in the mix using effects, but i tried my best to replicate with my playing. Hope this helps!
@@Sabar0_S Of course, all I used was a high gain amp plugin! However, this song is in a really low tuning, Double Drop C#, so you'll need a heavier string guage to be able to tune that low, without your strints getting too floppy and ruining your tone. So it's definitely possible on both a 6 or 7 String, but you just need the right string guage, here I'm using 80-9. So in my opinion I'd say 7 String or above. Or, if you have access to one, you can use a pitch shifter pedal effect or plugin to reach the low tuning without the need to change your strings. Hope this helps!
@@BILYLGuitar my god I appreciate the time of your reply! I think I have .52-12 on my 6 string, and I use free amp sims on cubase but the tone is sooo muddy when I go low. I think I may get a 7 string as an 8 string is pretty niche.
@@Sabar0_S Ah that's a shame about your sim getting muddy, dialing in a tone for low tunings is like taming a beast haha. I personally recommend anything by NeuralDSP, they have many fantastic high gain amp sims, most with a built in pitch shifter that works a dream! I'd say get a 7 String, you could definitely get a really nice spec one for around the same price as a low end 8 String would cost.
Actually, the thing you actually need is a baritone scale guitar, I'd say minimum for tuning that low is a 27" scale, which is the scale used in this video, on a 8 string guitar
It's unfathomable how good the cord progressions in this song sound to me.
You get better and better each time I hear you play, keep it up billmeister

@@degaminx8301 so you think high guage stings on a 7-string wouldn't work?
