I have done 655 Km on my FZ V3 BS4 in 9 hours(with breaks) and it STILL gave me 51 kmpl. I was amazed as mostly the speed was around 85-95 kmph. FZ is perfect except it does not have much power. If power takes a backseat for you, there are not many bikes that perform and look like this in the price range. Hands down best city commuting bike which you can take for occasional long rides. It has looks and is very friendly to your pocket. The seat comfort, gearbox, handling is awesome! Just ride one and change gears, you will love the click click sound it makes. And for Yamaha, please give it a bit more power, I am sure the chassis can handle it. Also make the brakes a bit hard.

Cornering is the best thing in FZ series that no bike comes near...many bikes may have 140mm Rear but body balance design with 135kg Weight is missing in them...

I bought this bike a few days ago, I have ridden just 100 kms on this bike, and even before the first service I am getting an average of nearly 38-39 kmpl which is really good considering the fact that the engine is set by the company so that it consumes more fuel while running when the bike is new.

i think all guys stuck in between hero xtreme 160r/ fzs v3/ apache 160rtr/ bajaj pulsar 150... in our daily life we need a good bike.. as a normal person everyone dont buy a bike for racing... i dont want a bike for racing... i dont want a bike for charging.. i dont need any additional technology for safety riding... i just want good looking and refined engine bike that make me feel safe while i am raiding a bike... i went to test drive for all the bikes... i feel yamaha is the one for me... i feel safe while driving in the traffic... mileage is good... as a family person i also look at pillion seat... i love taking my mom to temple.. drive to dad office to pick him up... go to a small trip with friends... comfortable seating position for my sister... also a good looking muscular bike... so after riding all those bikes i can suggest you yamaha... and my bike colour is tooo good... as a middle class employ i am very happy with yamaha fzs v3... if you want racing and long trips go with other bikes
I get 48 km mileage in highway & 95 km/hr speed is easily given. After then it takes time to increase speed. It provides Confident, smooth, Comfortable & stable ride. I bought it 14 months ago & bike weight is 137 kg.
It's a beautiful bike no doubts it'll get much better if they can put on some more muscle in it its still lacking behind like of Apache pulsar on power department Yamaha has been ignoring us for sometime hope they bring in more bike varities in future
FZS in 125 CC wouldn't be very competitive I think. They'd likely cut some major features like single channel ABS, Bluetooth connectivity and the bike won't even look this mascular if it is to reach a competetive pricing.
It's a very good bike though power is less but you will not feel it anytime the handling is just the best and also gives you great mileage overall a good bike just it's seat needs to be more comfortable

@@ramsenjoy8381 yeah you shouldn't be straining the bike before the first service...alot of metal pieces get emitted.. i feel the engine works great post 4000-5000kms.. that's when it's at its peak.

The fiber tank is flimsy and the tank panel issues that you see everywhere in internet are real . They are not fake.... But it can be fixed easily... But just to be clear the tank penel issues is there and dont believe the people who say it it not.... Cuz if they say its fake .. then theyr bike is either sitting idle in garage or theyr living somewhere where the roads are super smooth!!!! But for the rest of 99% indians .. the rank panel issues will be there ... But the tank is not costly 3 to 4k u can get a new panel...

I own FZ-S v2.0 BS III model bought in 2015. Full tank ride capacity is 450 kms. I get ~47 kmpl mileage in city. Sometimes I feel 6th gear is lacking especially when I do 95-100 kmph on highway. No vibration but need for comfort.

On road price in Bangalore. Fz V3 on road price is 1.23lac, Fzs is 1.42lac, unicorn is 1.34 lac, Bajaj is 1.33 to 1.41 lac, Apache 2v is 1.4 lac, TVs raider 1.12 lac. Which one will be value for money.

No, tank issue is still there. The build quality of its tank is extremely poor. Rest everything else like handling, stability and comfort etc are good. Suspension is stiffer for single riders but becomes comfortable with pillion. Headlight is having poor performance. Bluetooth is a big joke and absolutely nonsense feature. I do recommend you to go with honda rather than yamaha.

Hello Fuel Injected , I too am about to buy a 150- 160 cc segment bike in a week...... But confused between two bikes- Yamaha FZ S V3 Deluxe and the Hero Extreme 160 R Stealth Edition. I did Test Ride of both..... Felt Hero Extreme Stealth as more powerful, excellent road grip and braking, compact, advanced technology like X Sense Technology ( bike will stop engine automatically if it falls down below 58° angle leaning), Auto Sail Technology ( bike will stroll slowly at 8 km per hour speed in traffic even if clutch and accelerator is released fully), less turning radius, easy maneuvering ability, Gear Position Indicator, USB charging point, LCD console brightness control, it has both kick and self start option etc. Yamaha test ride too gave a good feeling but many such features missing in it. Looks of both bikes are totally different. Hero looks modern and compact. I am only concerned and confused on three issues - * Engine Reliability and Durability * After sales services and easy spares availability * Kick start option availablity Can anyone help me decide on these issues?
@@dgfs5440 After riding FZ-S V3 Deluxe for around 3 months, I am happy that I did choose the right bike. It's absolutely comfortable bike in terms of sitting posture, comfort, stability and balance. The wide radial tyre of FZ-S V3 makes a big difference to provide fantastic braking, stability and balance. The engine Refinement is very good. Getting great mileage of 50 + already. It's comfort level is such that in highway at speed of around 60 to 70 km per hour, I didn't even feel that I'm riding at that speed. Butter smooth riding and control. I would have got fatigued if I had chosen Hero Extreme 160 R as it's sitting posture is too aggressive and not very comfortable.
Beware ⚠️for this Bluetooth connection... 2 mahine pehle liya tha mene ye bike, Bluetooth connection bhi lagaya tha. Ek din suddenly battery khatm ho gaya bike ka engine band ho gaya. Ye connection security ke liye thik he lekin company ko battery ki quality badhana hoga... Iska yehi ek big issue he so ye mera review tha as a fz v3 deluxe owner.
Pulsar 250 has only one plus point which is more power. But apart from that fz25 is better like broad tyres, dual channel abs, refined engine, light weight, muscular design, best milleage. I am saying that because I have fzs25 bs6.
No 4 valves, no DOHC, no liquid cooling, no perimeter frame, no usd forks, no tech pack !! Useless !!😠😠....only good thing being a very low weight of only 135 kg😍.
Hi, one query. In Yamaha FZS V3, there is E-lock. Bike will not start but it's moving. Is there any risk of theft ? How to eliminate that risk? Any suggestions?
The tank panel is still getting separated from the middle frame as the whole fibre chunk is attached to the former with just a amall fibre hook, which a metal screw passes through! I bet every fzs v3 owner is going to face or has already faced this issue sooner or later! I don't know why these companies love to do away with adding more metal parts to a bike. I don't mind the weight of the bike going up to 2-3 kgs cuz of this!
I'm also agree with you bro. I have two FZS and my three friends are also having same. But all the FZS have this tank panel problem. This is totally a nonsense manufacturing defect which is deliberately done by the company. You just compare it with any of the motorcycle of any other brand you will come to know how much careful other brands are about the built quality. Knowingly Yamaha is cheating the Indian customers. I will never like to purchase any Yamaha product in my life again.
I happened to me already and i had to do some juggad with mseal to fix it... It has been running with that till now... I mean i understand jot giving metal parts but why not just give a sturdy plastic?? How much are they saving with removing 2 or 3 screws??? Fz v3 tank was also plastic and it had 3 screws holding the panel on each side! V3 has only one and that too sits on a flimsy extension!!

The fiber tank is flimsy and the tank panel issues that you see everywhere in internet are real . They are not fake.... But it can be fixed easily... But just to be clear the tank penel issues is there and dont believe the people who say it it not.... Cuz if they say its fake .. then theyr bike is either sitting idle in garage or theyr living somewhere where the roads are super smooth!!!! But for the rest of 99% indians .. the rank panel issues will be there ... But the tank is not costly 3 to 4k u can get a new panel...

I own FZ-S v2.0 BS III model bought in 2015. Full tank ride capacity is 450 kms. I get ~47 kmpl mileage in city. Sometimes I feel 6th gear is lacking especially when I do 95-100 kmph on highway. No vibration but need for comfort.

On road price in Bangalore. Fz V3 on road price is 1.23lac, Fzs is 1.42lac, unicorn is 1.34 lac, Bajaj is 1.33 to 1.41 lac, Apache 2v is 1.4 lac, TVs raider 1.12 lac. Which one will be value for money.
TVS is value, Bajaj for perfomance,Apache for features, fz for comfort.

No, tank issue is still there. The build quality of its tank is extremely poor. Rest everything else like handling, stability and comfort etc are good. Suspension is stiffer for single riders but becomes comfortable with pillion. Headlight is having poor performance. Bluetooth is a big joke and absolutely nonsense feature.
I do recommend you to go with honda rather than yamaha.

I too am about to buy a 150- 160 cc segment bike in a week...... But confused between two bikes- Yamaha FZ S V3 Deluxe and the Hero Extreme 160 R Stealth Edition. I did Test Ride of both..... Felt Hero Extreme Stealth as more powerful, excellent road grip and braking, compact, advanced technology like X Sense Technology ( bike will stop engine automatically if it falls down below 58° angle leaning), Auto Sail Technology ( bike will stroll slowly at 8 km per hour speed in traffic even if clutch and accelerator is released fully), less turning radius, easy maneuvering ability, Gear Position Indicator, USB charging point, LCD console brightness control, it has both kick and self start option etc.
Yamaha test ride too gave a good feeling but many such features missing in it.
Looks of both bikes are totally different. Hero looks modern and compact.
I am only concerned and confused on three issues -
* Engine Reliability and Durability
* After sales services and easy spares availability
* Kick start option availablity
Can anyone help me decide on these issues?

@@dgfs5440 After riding FZ-S V3 Deluxe for around 3 months, I am happy that I did choose the right bike. It's absolutely comfortable bike in terms of sitting posture, comfort, stability and balance. The wide radial tyre of FZ-S V3 makes a big difference to provide fantastic braking, stability and balance. The engine Refinement is very good. Getting great mileage of 50 + already. It's comfort level is such that in highway at speed of around 60 to 70 km per hour, I didn't even feel that I'm riding at that speed. Butter smooth riding and control. I would have got fatigued if I had chosen Hero Extreme 160 R as it's sitting posture is too aggressive and not very comfortable.

Pulsar 250 has only one plus point which is more power. But apart from that fz25 is better like broad tyres, dual channel abs, refined engine, light weight, muscular design, best milleage.

Hi, I have a question. My height is 5 feet 7 inches. So as per my height will this bike be okay?
The tank panel is still getting separated from the middle frame as the whole fibre chunk is attached to the former with just a amall fibre hook, which a metal screw passes through! I bet every fzs v3 owner is going to face or has already faced this issue sooner or later! I don't know why these companies love to do away with adding more metal parts to a bike. I don't mind the weight of the bike going up to 2-3 kgs cuz of this!
I'm also agree with you bro. I have two FZS and my three friends are also having same. But all the FZS have this tank panel problem. This is totally a nonsense manufacturing defect which is deliberately done by the company. You just compare it with any of the motorcycle of any other brand you will come to know how much careful other brands are about the built quality. Knowingly Yamaha is cheating the Indian customers. I will never like to purchase any Yamaha product in my life again.
I happened to me already and i had to do some juggad with mseal to fix it... It has been running with that till now... I mean i understand jot giving metal parts but why not just give a sturdy plastic?? How much are they saving with removing 2 or 3 screws??? Fz v3 tank was also plastic and it had 3 screws holding the panel on each side! V3 has only one and that too sits on a flimsy extension!!
