Theo single handedly changed podcasting by bringing regular blue collar people on the show instead of always getting a celebrity or comic or whatever. He’s so unique in what he does
Ordinary people are by far the most interesting guests. You just see how interesting the life of seemingly 'simple' people are. Everyone has a story to tell.
Theo if you ever decide to put out more solo episodes, hire this man to produce or be a secondary commentator! He's extremely easy to listen to and he really doesn't try to be overly funny and laugh at everything. Seems like a really great dude who could benefit from more than $20/hr

I was a Mall Cop a decade ago in New Mexico. I just got the job to do something unique, and different. I saw more shit in those 13 months, than anyone ever should anywhere. From drugs, to sexual assault, to drunk people urinating and deficating their way through the hallways, to knife attacks, to spousal abuse, to car accidents of major impact, to an actual shooting, and murder on property. It was the most insane 13 months of my life. Paul Blart is the joke, but holy hell was it a wild job.

We had a mall die out. It sat abandoned for many years. They recently brought it back and rejuvenated it. They put in bowling, sports vr place, casino, axe throwing, arcade (Malibu jacks), laser tag, they just tuned it into a playground. There’s a couple stores like a country store, with boots and stuff. But there’s no clothing stores. They also opened a movie theater attached to it and a few restaurants. Totally brought it back to life. It’s amazing. We live about 6 mins from it and it’s a total hang out spot. So just took the abandoned mall and turned it into an actual hang out spot with fun things to do, instead of stores.
This dude is a wannabe actor with an agent. He's not a random guest, their agents lined this up along with managers. It's a production, not a random occurrence.
This one brought back so many good memories from the late 90's and early 2000's and scary memories from the early 90's to mid 90's. I can relate so much to being lost in the mall by yourself and not being able to find your parents. That's a feeling you'll never forget
Haha, I loved the part that back in the day everybody used to go to the mall to hang out and to see all of the things in different stores. That's so very true! I am from Estonia 🇪🇪, Europe and we did the same. But then the good dining places dissapeared, clothes got impractical and expensive, the book stores started selling weird stuff. So, now, we mostly shop online.

The "working people" episodes are my favorite but some how I never thought about what it would be like to hear you ask questions about a job I ACUALLY did. I'm a filmmaker but I did almost 8 years of security; I've even been a site supervisor. Although I never worked a mall and that is very much it's own thing. But, this guy was the beautiful truth about security people. He would have been a treat on a post either from the supervisor or the real-officer side. He has the true balance between being "just a guy with a badge" and "wannabe law enforcement" that makes a good security guard and he truly reminds me of the best kind of old-heads I worked with. His combination of humility and backbone is the balance between a guard who is a liability (for many reasons) and someone who can create meaningful security presence but still act from their role as, not a cop but, a civilian upholding policy just to pay their bills. This minimal level of law enforcement can actually be useful social glue. And mall security is truly different from other posts. I avoided that shit for better posts, but this was truly special to hear. Thank you guest and Theo.
