Thank you. Reversing the plugs at the display worked for me. Now to get SD-card and 3Dtouch working ;)

You're welcome. Keep in mind 3d Touch may have issues with the Marlin firmware changes.
When EXP1 normal and EXP2 flipped on panel i get no blue screen but a beeping
Reverse them on the panel and see what's occuring.

I gave up on Marlin 2 as it would not work for me for Z (X,Y,E all worked fine) and the people over on the github tried to help but it is something in my system and in their Marlin that isn't playing nice. What I did was switch to Smoothie and it was easy but apparently this graphic LCD was wired backwards on the real smoothie board so I get it lit up but that is it. Scanned the net and the only solution was cutting wires and reversing them. Hell no that is what pins.h is for in Marlin but in Smoothie beats me.
My board is the SKR V1.3 but in this instance is the same as the MKS so basically I spent my money to buy a brick and I am beyond frustrated after 3 days of too many hours to count trying to get it all working.
Could you tell me about the issues with the z-axis? What stepper are you using? What's are the settings you used in Marlin firmware for confirmation.h? What happens when you only configure the z-axis? What messages do you see in Pronterface when trying to use z-axis?
Do you know how to change the way you navigate through the menus? i had a little generic prusa i3 where you could hit the arrow up key to go back and then on the next menu it would be on the arrow back option so you dont have to scroll up on each menu as you are trying to return to the main menu. I cant seem to find any of the settings for this but it must be in there somewhere. Let me know if you understand what im saying and or if you have any info to help me out.
I'll check in Marlin firmware after work, but you can search on, "menu", you might find something in configuration.h or configuration_adv.h.
@@EdwardBraiman I tried for days but I could not find it. I also tried to compare firmware differences in marlin but could not find that either. I just really want to figure out how because it is so much faster getting back to main screen instead of having to scroll up to the back arrow on every menu screen.

Hi I have a problem: when I conect the screen to MKS board start flashing and song. Afterthat I press the buton and the led in the board flash, screen stop song by a few second and after start again. Could you help me?
Sure. Does the screen make a hissing sound or illuminate?
@@EdwardBraiman Yes, when I charge the Marlin, I connect the display and it starts flashing and beeps, but it doesn't show anything on the screen. The screen works because I tested it and the MKS board as well.
Reverse the ribbon cables on the printer board connections and tell me what you see? Also send me a link to where it was purchased.

Купил я плату MKS GEN L v1.0
(продавец заверил что шьется как атмега 2560 (вроде аналог зборки ее с рамс шилдом))
при подключении определяет как marlin usb (com10)
У меня к вам хелп по теме - помогите разобратся
Все сделал как по видео - не грузит в плату вообще. Все загрузчики перепробовал.
скачал марлин даже готовый под мою плату (нашел видео где такую же плату прошивал мужик с дисплейным модулем как у меня) тоже - ноль. не грузит ничего.
визуал код(не визуал студио) вообще не собирает ни одну прошивку марлин. даже оригинальную - выдает ошибку какую то. чтото с файлом конфиг. подчеркивает то что закоментировано.. бред какой то. вернулся к ардуино иде - компиляцию проходит. библиотеки все есть. как с платой сконектиться то? на форуме нашел файлы бин. для лоадера с карты памяти. мол плата себя прошьет сама. но для моей платы - биновского файла нет. как его еще можно получить? визуал код меня шлет. в ардуино только хекс смог получить. авр дудка не контроллер 2560 не шьет(в списке нет такого, а как по другому не знаю). но сомневаюсь что юзб и дудка дружат. куда uart прикрутить на плату? вопрос. и даст ли это результат?... Подскажите плиз - кским макаром шьются эти платы вообще? в нете все по юзб шьют.. на деле - не работает у меня этот метод.

@@Evilslayer73 Keep in mind the Firmware for Stepper drivers have changed due to Firmware version 1.1.9 for Marlin. I'm trying to make an update for this weekend.
@@EdwardBraiman I'm glad you mentioned that. I updated from 1.1.9 to the bugfix version on my Anet A8 (stock board). When moving axis (homing etc), the steppers would engage, but would not move. In the end to get it to work, I had to re-initialise the EEPROM. After that was done, the printer works as normal
There is no need reverse cable/cables ?
Not on the MKS Gen L, other 3d motherboards, maybe.
@@EdwardBraiman ... I have an MKS GEN L installed with a "Smart Screen" and it's connectors are reversed. I think it may be whoever manufactures the Screens ... mine is from "BigTreeTech" who seem to be developing a reputation for "individuality" in their products.

@@EdwardBraiman i don't know why, but speaker beeb.... beeb...beeb and lcd screen is not respon .
@@SiwanutSK this might mean cables are connected in reverse.
Nice Videos but the only think what all time troggering me is the germantranslation.I don‘t know do you translate it with Google Translator. Ok i just Talk too much the Translation is garbage.
