I have no clue how I ended up here on a rainy Thursday at midnight, I don't even play the game... But thanks for it. For some reason it's what I wanted to watch.
Few years back i had a Will Anderson video just pop up in my feed. Best video I've ever clicked! Was super interesting and led me down a rabbit hole, where i just want to go deeper and deeper 😅! Anyway. He's a fellow Scrabble player and TH-cam creator. I highly recommend checking him out 👍 👌
Your opponent was really doing great. Turning over so many tiles in the mid game and eventually getting paid off
My my, how the turn tables. Fantastic spots by Frank toward the end!
This is the only game i've seen of yours where I truly believe your opponent was cheating
Don't forget they're playing "void challenge", so players can try out different possibilities without penalty. David doesn't take advantage of this very often, but some of his opponents do, and it's not counted as cheating.
"Let me get this down": LETDOWN.
Also, "LETDOWN isn't going to score hugely".
23:40 since ETUI was good, there was a small chance opponent would put an i on L1 and allow you a triple-triple miracle comeback =))))
I have to say I can't help but think that your opponent was using a word generator. he very rarely used parallel words. he had a few head scratching 6 letter plays that strategically made little sense. that can be a sign of using a general word generator that gives you the best or longest word in an bay of letters. come very interesting bingo spots too. I'm sure I'm wrong. I just feel of all the games I've watched this opponent was the most suspect
I didn't get that sense. I felt they were playing longer words to increase turnover and draw the blanks, which David pointed out as a key strategic consideration.
a minute and 50 seconds between FISTULA and WINGEDLY (an ultra-low-probability 8 that's obscure enough for my browser to highlight it as a misspelling); presumably he'd have to reject (at least) the R and A floaters before considering the W, implying he found that in under a minute. "Impressive" is an understatement.
not just the 6 letter plays - their non-bonus choices in general. look at how YA feels so out of place - holding back those awkward consonants & taking out potential on column 15. cant afford 2 cut out ur own options when trailing effectively by a bonus type score 😬
Poinado? Cant find any definition. The official scrabble page doesnt recognise it either?
