Re-watch here. I'm a very old woman who is brand new to this community. Maybe it's my age, but I love floral designs, and I adore cross stitch. I've never done embroidery work, but when my vision was better, I used to cross-stitch small pieces for relaxation. I viewed the Archer & Olive website during the Black Friday sales. Their products are beautiful, but costly! I watched your presentation on 40 supplies that you personally recommended, and I believe I left a comment telling you how refreshing it was to see a man's POV for journaling items. I doubt that I will ever buy from A & O, but I will continue to enjoy watching videos like this one! :)
I appreciate you checking out the video and for dropping a comment. The cross stitch is such pretty designs. And we can totally appreciate great stationery from afar. I do it all the time too :-)
I sub, this will be my second box & I'm (im) patiently waiting for mine to arrive - I'm in the UK, so it takes a little longer. Shipping costs can be quite high, & that did put me off subscribing, but I watched unboxing videos (Inc yours), got a bad case of FOMO & gave into temptation 😊 Loved my first box but this one is epic! Sorry I missed the live - #rewatchcrew 😅
The sweater pattern on the 8x8 actually really reminds me of Norwegian sweaters. I have family in Norway and it gives me all the nostalgia of visiting them.
This will be my first A&O box, I just started my journaling journey- wanting to create a reading journal. But I bought this box specifically for the 8x8 journal it reminded me of my grandmothers at Christmas!
Thank you for posting these lives to be watched later. I just got my box today! I am going to use the square one for my fibre arts projects journal. I am a weaver, spinner, knitter, crocheter and it fits in ok for that.
I think the 8x8 sweater book would be great to record family recipes and traditions. Or a book journal, very Jolabokaflod vibe. Reading books and eating chocolate on Christmas eve.
The corner cutter would also be great for when you're adding other colored pieces of paper to your spread, and you can decorate the corners that way, and have the white show through!
I think that the box was shipped a little on the late side too, but they had the Black Friday Sale, then the quarterly sub box, and then a partial restock of items for Cyber Monday. All in all a pretty busy weekend for the A&O team. And pretty busy for my wallet too.
Re-watch. I loved seeing what was included in this box--some great items for sure! To me it had a much greater value than the Advent box with similar (amazing) packaging. I love the colors and the Scandinavian style. I've never purchased from A&O before (not a journaler) but I will check them out! Thank you!
You could corner punch your journal as you go along so you can get to your current page easily instead of using a tab (so it won’t take forever to punch).
Mark! Part of the re-watch crew here…. this showed up in my feed - btw the hold up review works just fine :) I too have to learn to revamp studio shoot! Happy holidays to you and yours!
I'm watching this on replay and this was fun! I really liked the two notebooks and that sweater one I actually really liked alot. It's just very different than I've seen other notebook designs for the holiday/winter season plus I think when florals are not you're thing this seems more neutral. Great review and fun as always to watch
Great live, Mark. I love this box and really enjoy your honest reactions. The ink pads are awesome. I use them on page edges and they’re a bit pearlescent which adds a nice glow.
Rewatch. This is my first box. As a card maker have lots of dies and stamps. I took the dark blue washi, laid it down on white paper and used some large number dies to cut out the year.
PLEASE talk to me about the acrylographs! How have they improved? I have so many from earlier that I want so much to love, but SO many of them turned out to be practically single-use for the nibs (even with proper storage and ALL the cleaning techniques, tips, and tricks) ... I've ordered replacement nibs (elsewhere, since A&O wasn't stocking them), but I'm still afraid to swatch new ones because I hate to waste nibs on a swatching if it turns out to be single-use no matter how meticulous I am in cleaning and storage.
I know they have been improving the inside and nibs, at least from the early ones. No matter that, I always test on a spare sheet of paper before bringing anything to my journal page.
Had to catch the rewatch because my box didn't make it to FL until TODAY. Super neat box, loved all the new items, and excited for potential future versions of a few.
This box has been my absolute favorite box so far. After a few disappointing drops etc. but this box makes up for it. The sweater will be my 2025 reading journal. This is my aesthetic 100 percent. I even have drawings of rabbits with the folk florals inside of it all over.
Oh man, I missed the livestream! I'm still waiting for my box to arrive, but I'm so excited to use the square notebook as my crafting journal for next year! I've been on such a sock knitting kick recently and it looks perfect for logging all of them.
Mark- love your real reactions to the items. Makes me always watch your videos. Your reaction to the square notebook had me laughing because it was SO genuine- LOL!
I missed the live, so I’m a re-watch. I’m still waiting for my box. Crazy it’s been two weeks already. Getting impatient ❤❤thanks for sharing. I had to ruin my surprise box.
Yay Puppy!!! Mine finally arrived (19th) (new sub so it didn't ship until the 9th....and my partner mistyped our address to a non-existent house number🤦🏻♀, but FedEx luckily took the time to correct it - very grateful they did that especially during this busy delivery time! I was impressed with the paper punch - it was solid and sturdy and the design is too cute! The bookmark is cute, but too much of a temptation for the cats 🐈⬛. The ink pads are definitely interesting and love the colors coordinate with the pens so nicely. I'm mixed on the sweater notebook, but don't hate it - it just feels like it needs a focal image.
I’m surprised many of the comments here don’t love this box. This one is my favorite so far. I have only done 3. I am literally obsessed with every item. But I do appreciate everyone has different tastes!!
Aww, would love to "meet" Beau. So adorable!!! Ive been using a paint brush in my fountain pen ink to do small bits in my journal. I'm wondering if i can use that ink to stamp as well.... What about using the vegan leather stickers to create a cool paperclip book mark or something. Just use card stock on the back with the paperclip in the middle. Or to seal letters written like a wax seal.
I wish there was a way to like buy the set (stamps and block/pad) or just stamps so you dont end up with six blocks and could save a little money possibly
I wanted this box, but just couldn't justify it. Working on using what I have first. Everything is just so cute though! Especially the corner punch, but a BAT!?!?! THAT WOULD BE AMAZING.
Re-watch. Oh man, a bat or raven corner punch would be amazing! They would be nice for spooky season but could be used year round. I love the colored inks. I was just going to buy some colored inks but now I don't have to.
Great coverage on the sub box, thank you! The sweater notebook and the ink pad are the only items I like. Too bad the items can’t be sold separately. 😕
I loved this box, even if delivered a bit late. I wish there were more swallows in the designs but they were on the A5 notebook so I'm happy. This will be my last box though - I have so many notebooks!!!
You mentioned lined notebooks from past sub boxes. I have found that the paper on lined notebooks is more fountain pen friendly than the dot grid. I know it should be the same paper but it seems to be different. Can you or anyone else comment whether you’ve found the same thing?
I gifted the stickers straight away - I’m allergic to polyurethane, which is what vegan leather is made from 😭 The only time I used an Archer & Olive vegan notebook was when I got my son to repaint the cover & I covered it in one of the seethrough covers! This release has been the only one that I’ve loved both notebooks.
I was on the fence ordering this box because of the 8x8 notebook. I hate saying this but it looks so "anemic" to me. Ooooo, that hurt admitting. The A5 is a gem and practically everything else in the box is fun so I bought it. This is the first time I will be gifting an A&O notebook. I think they could have come up with a slightly more dynamic color story for that notebook. Pity! Great video Mark!
Anemic is a great word for it - I think the box actually looks better, which I'm disappointed to say. I wanted to get a subscription box, but I accidentally stumbled across a photo of the square journal, and decided to wait for the next one. I want to like it, but I just can't.
This is my 2nd sub box, and I was in the same boat of being weary of what was inside based on the box and theme. I also, went back and watched last year's sub boxes to get a feel for them, and I was only excited for September. I love this box, and I was absolutely surprised by how much I enjoyed it 😊
I was debating whether to get this box, and wound up getting it because it shipped before I decided whether to cancel. Oops. But, I liked it way more than I thought I would. I am also not into florals, but part of my family is from Norway and I enjoy folk style art. The bookmark and the corner punch are misses for me, they will join the box I have of A&O items that I need to rehome when I get a chance.
I am scandinavian, so maybe I'm just bored with the knitting patterns and homemade embroidery stuff because it's so common here 😂😂 HOWEVER! I am very happy that A&O finally gave me a notebook where I can make my swatches and washi tape collection samples! They've all been too pretty thusfar, but that is what I will use my 8x8 for. :D The rabbit stamp will be great for easter, I love the inkpads and I'm sure I can use the washi for something. Pretty good box! (oh the punch was cool too!)
I looked at ordering but shipping was ridiculous and I’ll not doing them. I’m in Canada. Archer & Olive needs to find a Canadian place that will sell the A&O products
Love your honesty and enthusiasm and my daughter hyper focuses I agree a super power with a big down side at times. I’d like to point you to sketches and scrubs channel she put a video out last night talking about the problems with gifted reviews it’s very thought provoking
They did carry a square notebook cover at one point because I bought it, Clear with glitter like the other sizes. I thought I had canceled my sub box after billing but just made it in time to NOT receive this one. The theme was completely not my vibe. I am happy to watch you open your box to quell my fomo. I got supplies from the Black Friday sale that should get me through the year. I would love to see other paper punch designs too. Have a great week!
I live in the Netherlands and received the box today. This is the American webshop that ships fast. Normally it takes at least 2-4 weeks when I order something in the USA. Archer and Olive arrives in 7-10 days. Shipping and taxes are about 35 Dollars
I'm not watching live, but what you could do with the whole puncture thing is take all the flowers out of the container.Indector ate your book with the are you spread with the punches itself?Something my foggy stuff would do
I used the golden inkpad and unfortunately after 30 minutes it still transfers. So sad. I don't know if I can use it in a journal. Don't they test it at Archer & Olive?
In comparison, that advent box suddenly seems awesome! I am glad I passed this by. Def not my thing but the Sept box was perfect (and halloween). Its hard to surpass those two boxes.
I actually cancelled my subscription cause I really didn't care or need any of these (and I'm an original subscriber since they started). I wish they did the sub pause thing - I did that for the camping subbox. But this is the 2nd box I don't have (I'll wait til it's on sale thou, I have a feeling this wasn't a favorite and they'll have extras). Thanks for all your reviews, I really enjoy them!
I seen this unboxing from someone else but cool to see from a guys pov .ya most guys would prefer something other than flowers im sure ..me i wish i could get this 😊
Rewatch from Germany, first I thought ‚oh no florales, better skip this box‘ buuut i couldnt miss out the Chance for a 8x8 because i only started the sub box this Summer. They ship international, its not only the shipping that makes it expensive also its the taxes of customs. For Germany it nearly doubles the Price 😢 but luckily Archer & Olive or the shipping Company does the customs paperwork so less stress for me 😂
I love this box, it's really too bad that the shipping on the package is almost as much as the package itself. I swear by Archer and Olive journals but I order them from a local shop in Australia. If I had to pay the shipping from A&O it would double the cost of the item plus the dollar exchange is already double. Needless to say our selection isn't as good as you guys have. I only wish we could get the sub-boxes down under without paying A&O directly and paying that darn shipping and dollar exchange. :)
So these ink pads from A&O (since the actual A&O video team didnt respond...) I wrecked my 2025 planner using this.... like im used to standard ink pads. Any tips for whatever the heck these are... 😳😳😳
Sorry I mean they are so like juicy/saturated inks, nothing like what I've used before and sloppy on pages. Not sure but it literally got all over; on the cover of my planner, my hands, the stamp box. I'm super experienced with stamps but man that ink 🤦🏼♀️
Hey Mark. I liked the sept box a little when I saw the unboxings, so I ordered the dec one. I ended up gifting out a lot of the pieces. Kept the corner punch and washi. I kept the stickers too but I am not sure what to do with them. I hope their march box is more gender neutral. I'm not a huge floral/knit fan myself...
It feels controlling to me that A&O would 'give you a slap on the hand' for giving your honest opinion about their products. One of the reasons I started watching your channel and continue to do so, is BECAUSE of your honest reviews. It makes me trust you more, and trust your reviews more, because I know you're not being a mouthpiece. Ironically, your honest reviews of A&O products (the good products, the bad ones, and the uglies) has made me consider buying from them even more. Companies like A&O need to know that allowing people to be honest works better than control. People can vibe if you're not being real with them. Anyways, all that to say, a big THANKS for your honest reviews, and I hope you keep giving them!!!
I’ll always keep those honest reviews - and what I let them know too was that I can be a super fan but also not love it all. I think sometimes i might go a little too far ;-)
Re-watch here. I'm a very old woman who is brand new to this community. Maybe it's my age, but I love floral designs, and I adore cross stitch. I appreciate you checking out the video and for dropping a comment. The cross stitch is such pretty designs. And we can totally appreciate great stationery from afar. I do it all the time too :-)
As a cross stitcher... it's not your age. It's your natural good taste!
I sub, this will be my second box & I'm (im) patiently waiting for mine to arrive - I'm in the UK, so it takes a little longer. ❤❤❤❤
The sweater notebook would make a perfect hobby journal for stitching, knitting or a similar cosy craft.
Oh yeah
Yes!!!!!! Bat corner punch!!!! Please A and O!!!! Pumpkin too!!!
🦇
Dear @ArcherandOlive , PLEASE do the bat corner punch that Mark talked about. That would be amazing!
Yes!!! 🦇
Love it
Thank you for posting these lives to be watched later. I just got my box today! I am going to use the square one for my fibre arts projects journal. I am a weaver, spinner, knitter, crocheter and it fits in ok for that.
Sounds like some good uses for the items
I have started deconstructing the packaging and using it in my journals…
That’s cool
For those that haven’t tested it yet, the ink pad is metallic 😍
Only realized that when I went to use it. How did I miss it
I think the 8x8 sweater book would be great to record family recipes and traditions. Or a book journal, very Jolabokaflod vibe. Reading books and eating chocolate on Christmas eve.
I love the recipe idea
I love the recipe idea
Love that idea
Great unboxing, Mark! Always appreciate your honest reactions and insights to products, even those from one of my favorite companies!
Thanks for watching
The corner cutter would also be great for when you're adding other colored pieces of paper to your spread, and you can decorate the corners that way, and have the white show through!
I also thought it would be fun to do that and color the flowers in too.
@@CR-pp3yg oh yes, that would be pretty!
Yeah neat
I love how excited you got with the ink pad. Thanks for sharing this. I like the idea of punched page corners.
It’s so fun
I love this box! So many good things! Rewatch
Thanks for watching
Oh my I just saw you octopus in the background. I love octopus. Have at least 1 piece of octopus artwork in each of my rooms in my house.
Love them. This one is from a local print maker.
Love love love the journals!
;-)
Interesting box! It feels very 'hygge'. I love the A5 journal. The punch feels very Dutch with a tulip.
It was a fun theme
Love the idea of a bat corner punch for Halloween! 🦇
Yesss!
I think that the box was shipped a little on the late side too, but they had the Black Friday Sale, then the quarterly sub box, and then a partial restock of items for Cyber Monday. All in all a pretty busy weekend for the A&O team. And pretty busy for my wallet too.
Yeah a lot happening for sure
The pattern you are calling hearts is actually a knit pattern. As a knitter myself, I immediately recognized this when I opened my box.
Ah, thank you.
Re-watch. I loved seeing what was included in this box--some great items for sure! To me it had a much greater value than the Advent box with similar (amazing) packaging. I love the colors and the Scandinavian style. I've never purchased from A&O before (not a journaler) but I will check them out! Thank you!
Oh 1000% better than the advent box.
Got mine and love love love it! It’s my first AO sub box.
Oh nice!!! Glad you love it
Awesome. This box was very cool. I am happy to have a subscription.
Such a great surprise
You could corner punch your journal as you go along so you can get to your current page easily instead of using a tab (so it won’t take forever to punch).
That would be cool
Part of the rewatch crew here. Definitely loving that A5 notebook! Great design, and I generally love florals, so that works very well for me
Thanks for watching
Mark! Part of the re-watch crew here…. this showed up in my feed - btw the hold up review works just fine :) I too have to learn to revamp studio shoot! Happy holidays to you and yours!
🙌🙌 rewatch crew love
I absolutely support the bat corner punch! And a star. And a crescent moon.
Give us them all
I like the square journal, and would definitely agree it looks like cross stitch patterns, or perhaps a Norwegian jumper! ❤
For sure
I'm watching this on replay and this was fun! I really liked the two notebooks and that sweater one I actually really liked alot. It's just very different than I've seen other notebook designs for the holiday/winter season plus I think when florals are not you're thing this seems more neutral. Great review and fun as always to watch
Thanks so much for watching.
Perhaps your extra stamp blocks could be an addition to a large wall radial art piece, Mark?
Maybe
Great live, Mark. I love this box and really enjoy your honest reactions. The ink pads are awesome. I use them on page edges and they’re a bit pearlescent which adds a nice glow.
I'm glad you're enjoying the ink pads - they're such a neat little touch!
make the corner punch celestial and I'm sold✨
Oh yeah
Rewatch. This is my first box. As a card maker have lots of dies and stamps. I took the dark blue washi, laid it down on white paper and used some large number dies to cut out the year.
Great idea!! I'm coming from the mixed media/art journaling side of things so have lots of supplies too 😊
Nice use!
My box is still not here, and I’m in the same state as you! I’m looking forward to the stamps and stamp pad.
Hope it came and you loved it
I almost bought the box just for the corner punch. I really hope they do start selling different pattern hole punches
Me too

Mark- love your real reactions to the items. Makes me always watch your videos. Your reaction to the square notebook had me laughing because it was SO genuine- LOL!
I appreciate you watching, I had such a good time reacting to the box this month.
Those punches were all the rage in the 90s when I was in high school. So much nostalgia!!
I definitely missed out on them.
I missed the live, so I’m a re-watch. I’m still waiting for my box. Crazy it’s been two weeks already. Getting impatient ❤❤thanks for sharing. I had to ruin my surprise box.

That’s the fun part of the boxes in my opinion. So many cool things to try and use.
26:52 could be for a reading or gaming journal. Those trees on the cover remind me a bit of pixels.
Minecraft of it all
Brilliant video Mark - the live really suits you and you are so engaging and confident - good job 👍😊

Yes, same
Watching 2 days later. Congrats on the new puppy!
Thank you!!
You could punch the corner of the page when you are done/fill the page
Cool idea
I wanted this box, but just couldn't justify it. Working on using what I have first. Everything is just so cute though! Especially the corner punch, but a BAT!?!?! THAT WOULD BE AMAZING.
I hope they do more
Hi from London Uk. Great box , thanks for showing us what is inside :).
Thanks for watching!
Re-watch. Oh man, a bat or raven corner punch would be amazing! They would be nice for spooky season but could be used year round. I love the colored inks. I was just going to buy some colored inks but now I don't have to.
I really hope they do one

It is such a fun box
Rewatch crew here. Dec. 15th and I just got my box today. I was waiting without any spoilers too and was pleasantly surprised.
Yay rewatch crew
34:50 YES!!!!! 🦇 pleeeease! 🤩
It would be the coolest!
I loved this box, even if delivered a bit late. I wish there were more swallows in the designs but they were on the A5 notebook so I'm happy.
This will be my last box though - I have so many notebooks!!!
I’m right with you. So so many notebooks
I like the sweater journal because I like the all over prints
Yeah it’s really cool
Rewatching. I was able to not spoil it- mostly too. Mine came TODAY! On the 19th of December. Definitely later than expected.
Good job or not being spoiled. That takes talent!
32:48 That's genius! 😄 I have wrapping paper from the Hubman & Chubgirl advent calendar, but I don't know what to wrap with it, lol
:-)
I am loving the foiled notebooks.. the Halloween and then now THIS 🤯 I need to use my notebooks though its getting kinda crazy out here..
@@wahinepaddler4 we are all here with you. 😆
My box is still on the way but is only halfway on across the country from CA to VA. 😬
How you got it and loved it
You mentioned lined notebooks from past sub boxes. I have found that the paper on lined notebooks is more fountain pen friendly than the dot grid. I know it should be the same paper but it seems to be different. Can you or anyone else comment whether you’ve found the same thing?
Oh interesting. I’ll have to test it out
I love the rabbit stamp. I have 2 bunnies at home 🙂 so whenever I see some bunny stamps, I am excited 😀
They are really nice stamps
Hello! From Florida! Please do a video on how to clean the stamps!
Baby wipes will work for most inks. If the ink is dye based use baby wipe with little rubbing alcohol.
Working on one

Oh geez what a difficult sensitivity to live with - but good that you have found something good work around.
Gifting is something that has been normal for me. I have so many and I know people love it.
You know, I went back and bought the box because I liked so many other items - and in person I actually like the sweater weather journal!

I still haven’t received mine! I think some items are really cool but the 8x8 notebook is giving me granny vibes 😂
Hoping you got it and loved it
I live in the Netherlands and received the box today. This is the American webshop that ships fast. Normally it takes at least 2-4 weeks when I order something in the USA. Archer and Olive arrives in 7-10 days. Shipping and taxes are about 35 Dollars
Hope you enjoyed it.
I liked the March, June and September subbox more!!!
I still haven’t received mine so yes it does seem like it’s taking longer. I am happy about this box for the most part
Thanks for watching! I hope you get yours soon.
Me too… and tracking says it’s still at its starting point and hasn’t been scanned again since Dec 7th…
I'm not watching live, but what you could do with the whole puncture thing is take all the flowers out of the container.Indector ate your book with the are you spread with the punches itself?Something my foggy stuff would do
Cool idea
Bat corner punch!! Also, let’s meet Beau!
The bat would be the best! Give it to us now. 🦇
@ I would totally punch all my pages with a bat if it didn’t take hours!
Hahaha! Mark! The ugly sweater square notebook matches your outfit 😂
It does! It was totally an accident.
The postage for the subscription boxes isn’t bad and I live in australia
Oh good to know
I used the golden inkpad and unfortunately after 30 minutes it still transfers. So sad. I don't know if I can use it in a journal. Don't they test it at Archer & Olive?
Oh interesting.
@@markyourpagesa week later i still got glitter on my hand when I touched the inkt in my planner.
I get it in the uk takes awhile expensive but still worth it at the moment.
Oh nice!!
For my acrylic pens, 2 of them were unusable because the paint just flowed out
I hate when that happens.
In comparison, that advent box suddenly seems awesome! I am glad I passed this by. Def not my thing but the Sept box was perfect (and halloween). Its hard to surpass those two boxes.
I love the variety at times. As long as it’s cool and usable - I’m down
I’m watching on the rewatch crew
Yay!
Thanks for checking them out.
I seen this unboxing from someone else but cool to see from a guys pov .ya most guys would prefer something other than flowers im sure ..me i wish i could get this 😊
Always happy to provide the other perspective :-)
Can we meet the puppy, please?
Definitely will in the future
Rewatch from Germany, first I thought ‚oh no florales, better skip this box‘ buuut i couldnt miss out the Chance for a 8x8 because i only started the sub box this Summer. They ship international, its not only the shipping that makes it expensive also its the taxes of customs. For Germany it nearly doubles the Price 😢 but luckily Archer & Olive or the shipping Company does the customs paperwork so less stress for me 😂
Yeah it really turned around. A great box
That’s awesome that you can get them from a local shop
So these ink pads from A&O (since the actual A&O video team didnt respond...) I wrecked my 2025 planner using this.... like im used to standard ink pads. Any tips for whatever the heck these are... 😳😳😳
You can take each off and stamp your clear stamps with them. Or any block stamp
I didn’t get my box until the 21st of December…wasn’t happy about that. 😅
Oh wow.
Hey Mark, is not choppy is shabby chic 😅
😂
Mine is still not here!
Hope it got to you
Be warned that that style of ink pad will dry out very quickly. There is not enough sponge to keep the ink usable.
Good to know
