Oh Julie ... your crochet made me smile (actually I smile or laugh all the way through your video .. the things you say honestly crack me up). I have taught so many people to crochet. My last student was a prize. The only reason she wanted to learn was because everyone else was doing it. A year later and she is still on her first granny square and she still asks me what she has to do next. She does this weird thing when she gets to a corner. She has a perfect tension though. She was a real tester I can tell you. Only thing I can say to you is ... if my friend Sue can do it, so can you .
Thanks Sandy love 😊 i will keep on keeping on with the crochet, it's a vendetta now. It's come about because my youngest wants to learn. She's autistic and dyslexic and finding it very difficult to get the hang of, so we are doing it together. I think we are a pair of Sues😘😁🤗💜

That yellowy green butterfly matched That pocket PERFECTLY.. looked like it was a PART OF the page to begin with!
The Frayed Burlap is a lighter color if I remember rightly.... and the paper seems a similiar hue, so will take more to be noticable.
This made me really want to get up and try this... cept, it was TBE MIDDLE of the NIGT here.. 😂.

I wont use the store bought stuff... too toxic.. it is beyond easy to make your own... beeswax, shea butter and coconut oil.. thats it... and soooo yummy on the lips... Stay warm!! :))@@CameliaCraftsDesigns
I too have been trying my hand at crochet, it is a lot more difficult than what I see others doing on video. They make it looks so easy. I almost got a hat done, and realized I didn't count the stiches and it is turning out to be large enough to fit a gorilla. So it does take practice. My mom used to be a whiz at it, made some very beautiful doilies and such. I really like this project, I don't have an Edith Holden book, but I suppose any book would do with pretty pictures. Thanks so much for sharing and giving me a few giggles. Much needed for I have been very sick lately myself. Take good care, look forward to seeing what you come up with next.

I just love these. I bout passed out when I saw all those flowers you fussy cut out. I would have been crazy as a loon. Well I just couldn’t do it. My fussy cuts looks like a first grader just learning to use scissors. It doesn’t matter how slow I go. I just found out my cricut will fussy cut. Lol now to figure out how to get it to do that. That machine shouldn’t be that hard to figure out. Don’t give up on crocheting. You’ll get it. Thanks for all you do . Teresa
Thanks Teresa☺️ i was really into the fussy cutting this week, the mojo loss does have a silver lining as i'd always rather make than fussy cut. I have a cricut and a scan and cut and both will fuccy cut, pros and cons to both and i keep saying i'll get mne out and do a big batch. thank you for reminding me, the next time the mojo is waining that's what i'll do. For now hook and pull through😁🤗💜

I hope all is well with you and your family!
I’ve been missing in action for a bit and working on getting a couple of quilts finished for the kids as birthday presents this year. It’s going to be a bit before I make it back to working on anything Journal related but I still enjoy the videos when I’m chilling. I’m making 2 king size quilts for my kids and just finished my first ever quilt which was also a king size. I made my first on for my cousin/best friend who tragically lost her 15 year old son. I made the quilt in memory of him and I hope she’s at least warm and feels the love that I put into making it. May 12th is when we have Mother’s Day in the states, I never knew that a holiday like that would fall on different days throughout the world or even if all countries had it. You always get my mind spinning with questions from things that are different between our countries.
You’ve come up with another great project, much appreciated and I always enjoy all of your videos even when I’m not necessarily working that particular craft. Always sending love and prayers for you and your family ❤️🙏
Hi lovely, all those quilts sound like a big undertaking and the one for your best friend is such a thoughtful and wonderful thing to do for her. A lady in New Zealand just told me they celebrate Mothers day and mothering sunday, one in march and the other in may 😊🤗💜
In Australia, Mother's Day is the first Sunday in May, but Father's Day is in September 🇦🇺💙❤️

Julie, I bought what I thought was an old copy of the book Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady. When it arrived, it was not so old, but not brand new, but not so old. I was looking forward to “old” book pages like all of y’all have! The size of the book is disappointing even though I knew the size of the book when I bought it, it just seems smaller than 5 1/2 x 8 1/2! Anyway, the book is so cute, I don’t want to disassemble it! So I probably will have to buy another one to use! Have you or anybody reading this experienced this?! Lol. I really enjoy your channel and look forward to each video!
It sounds like you got one of the special edition ones that Marks and spencer did in the noughties to comemorate 100 years since it was originally written. Those ones go for silly money sometimes as they are less common. I showed one in this video th-cam.com/video/xK7MFKp27Zo/w-d-xo.html and i finally took one apart to include in my current journals but i still couldn't cut the pages, but as they were smaller they were perfect for signature pages🤗💜
