Menton Kronno here 🙋🏿‍♂️Menton Summer’s songs were mostly Dancehall Deejay Freestyles during disco sessions with Emperor Orlando but if you were their ardent supporter and follower, you would know their chants…. Menton Summer had songs like SUMMER TIME (an r&b rendition with some good vocalist, WOMAN’ abe SOLDIER (recorded over the CHRONIC oba STORM RIDDIM TRACK that we used to call shocking vibes), silikawo baby, kakongollijjo k’ekikajjo and so many other chants that were great demos for music that he was preparing to record…. ORLANDO, BUCHERMAN, CHYSTO FABULOUS, MAD TIGER, SHANKS, RASTA ROB, ME and any of the other veterans of the time should get together and finish this man’s work.

Menton summer died, 97', only a month before Buju Banton visit. He used to called himself Omutaka sabapendwa. I remember everything like yesterday, because he was a friend of ours, me, soja man Enatete, and Raga compius. Am still injured by his sudden death at only 24yrs. 😭

I actually attended his burial, I was in S.3 in MACOS. He was our neighbor in Natete and was our family friend. I recall Abbey Mukiibi lifting up Nakibuuka, I met her when I was in Ug in March, she has kids. Life!😅
