I think it's fair to say I get the most pumped when it's a BeamNG video. Absolutely love watching Drae highlight this game for many many years.

This map is based off of King Of The Hammers. The most grueling 1 day off road race in the world. It's a week long event with many different classes and qualifying races through out the week. The main race is the last day... that being The King Of The Hammers. Happens at the end of January beginning of Febuary every year in Johnsons Valley California.
I never tried BeamNG, but just from watching videos, it's amazing how far they've come. I would love to see their physics and damage model put to use for a serious racing game. Sandbox mode is cool and all, but there's so much more potential here.
It's already pretty good as a racing game. It simulates almost everything except for tire thermals and tire wear

Beam MP has some gamemodes, but playercap is mostly maximum 12 because after 12 cars on the map u gonna need a pretty beefy computer :D
You should definitely try it. But be warned.. you need a pretty strong pc to run it. My old gpu could barely handle it at 20fps with zero AI cars
@@ROT4RYfc3s it's cpu not gpu intense my gtx 1060 been holding fine since I built the computer in 2015 many cpus newest is ryzen 7 5800 and I run 30 cars on west coast its crazy now
I drive a tractor trailer and am out on the road for 5 to 14ish days straight. I can't wait to get home and update my BeamNG. This update looks AMAZING

It's actually 11 years. They first showcased the game in 2012 then released in 2013
I like how the variant Drae called a low rider has more ground clearance than the standard variant with the regular-sized tires.
This is honestly the best game I have in my opinion
its so cool to see johnson valley in a game! not many outside the duning/racing communities know about it but i grew up out there with our family cabin off grid

I don't think you're supposed to get outside that area. The map isn't actually as big as it seems, because most of it doesn't have rocks or shrubs or anything, just a mesh and a blurry texture. Would be cool to see it expanded like that though!
I've been to the actual Johnson valley a few times, my dad lives there, and this looks pretty close. The ground has a slightly brighter color and the mountains tend to be so rocky they look like giant piles of rock with the exception of a path up and path down. I so wish I could get this game.
Super satisfied with this update. Off-roading has never been so fun, especially with the new map. There’s never a line you will take twice.

I don't know a lot about BeamNG. Did they get a lot of bad press like No Man's Sky, and they're releasing huge updates to earn back the goodwill they lost?
Or are they just generous? Somewhere in between?
They're just that generous and a very devoted team. They didn't get any bad press.
The red neck in me is loving this update. BTW the low rider as Drae called it is based on an existing “Sherpa” off road vehicle. I am so taking some of my Automation cars on that straight highway. Maybe see if I can make a “decent” off-roader while I’m there.
That ofroading made me want snow runner back but I'll settle for more of this update 😉

For the people who don't know Johnson Valley is were king of the hammers is hosted its a 2 week long race with rock crawlers on steroids trophy trucks and peaple going and playing on the race track during the night the race starts at sun rise and end at sun down if you want to see some clips search up king of the hammers or ultra 4
I love how Drae always skips introductions or notifications, then gets shocked pikachu when things go wrong. The cop chase mission clearly said he was supposed to drop the treasure off, then drive away and escape. Not sit there until the cops show up lol.

The big wheel wydra is a sherp, it is meant to have very buoyant wheels to float and go on mud. Hence the low wheels with massive tires.
I have watched the ads and that is all I need to see...
I like that drea looks at a new game like plasma and just never touches again
For the low gear crawling put it in realistic shifting mode so it won't shift so much randomly and keep stalling out.

Dust to glory is one of my favorite documentary's of all time. It's about the Baja 1000. Needless to say this game is getting reinstalled!

Fun fact, Stambecco is the Italian name for Ibex, basically a mountain goat. Stambecco Alpino is an Alpine Ibex. Its quite fitting for an offroad utility vehicle like the Autobello Stambecco.

11:02 Check out "Ultra 4" racing. I check it out in Sturgis every year and it is quite impressive and on tracks just like those.
A manuel gear box is recommended for offroading but in a game it’s completely different lol

For me the desert map would probably be excellent for the Sunburst. Especially the little track you tried in the middle of the map.

"low" gearing doesn't mean slower, it means a lower gear ratio. That means that the acceleration and torque in general is far more aggressive, at the cost of reduced top speed.
Also I just saw the Stambecco roll down the cliff and holy crap that thing is built like a tank!
That amphibious vehicle BOV Vydra 8x8 is an army vehicle but it´s armored.
At least one of those amphibious car should have have a boat engine on the back

I think the 4x4 amphibious vehicle with big tires is supposed to be a Sherp drivetrain

Hey drea idk if you'll see this comment but this map seems like it's based on the motor storm games mainly the first one which is very underrated for the time.
New hunter call of the wild map out pls play. The game is so good

Wish drae would brush up on his vehicle knowledge. Hard to see him fumble with the cars wondering why they are acting a certain way and such. Still a great video though
when you spawn the car really far in the sky and it falls down, sometimes the body rips apart due to air

beamng came out around the same time as GTAV yet beamng updates are better and free without hackers and modders
