Looks to me that the over the shoulder strap did not secure the driver. I thought the seat belt system was suppose to lock up tight when it sense a rapid deceleration event.
very strong
Would you change your mind when you see it crashing head on into a toyota camry?
@@shadowsburrowOh hey I understood that reference
Looks like the head struck the steering wheel through the airbag
I just noticed that right now
For some reason modern cars don't have firm seat belts.

Why does it have a good rating if it did bad vs Toyota Camry?
because this test represents this yaris crashing against a fellow minicar. and in this case the driver only recorded slightly high forces on the head and leg. if it crashed against a midsize car then the car would have been driven backwards, and it would cause serious injuries to the occupants.
It's due to with the vehicle size; the Yaris and Camry are different size segments and are therefore rated differently.
The toyota camry is heavier than this vehicle yaris.
The driver in the yaris would cause serious injuries says by the iihs i think
It’s like that because the Camry is heavier than yours you can see the same thing with the Mercedes-Benz S class in the mini smart for two together the Toyota Yaris had 12 inches of intrusion the Camry had port 5 inches of intrusion so you can’t change the laws of physics between small cars and large cars
The test shown here replicates a Yaris hitting another car of the same weight and speed. When the Yaris hit the Camry, it was at a weight disadvantage.
