Why the Camino Del Santiago Was a Symbol of Spanish Defiance

  • In northern Spain lies a collection of stunning churches built in a line known as the Camino Del Santiago. They represented a symbol of defiance, a rallying cry against the Moorish invasion of Spain.

Puerto Ricans and Cubans are basically the same people with slightly different island cultures, they are the same blood mix for the most part, mostly Spanish, many are mixed with Taino Indians, some also have Carib Indian and some have African blood lines or both. As far as being Spanish, Latino's blood lines come from Spain that is what makes them Hispanic! Read more about the history of Spain and the people, it is an amazing rich and proud history, not only did Spain have an incredible Royal history but many great Roman emperors were actually Spanish. Hope this helps you on your journey, take care!

@@JT-st9yj Yes, Spain invaded the Caribbean islands and Central and North America in the 1400s. Brought slaves from Africa too, so that's why most islanders are mixed with Spanish, African, and Taino. That's also why Spanish is spoken in North, Central, and Southern America. Spanish is a blend of latin and the Iberian languages throughout history - Arabian, Celtic, and Germanic (Visigoths). If you walk the Camino de Santiago you will pass through the city of Burgos, where Spanish is said to have started. There were only a few Roman Emperors who were from Hispania and two of the greatest (in my opinion) - Hadrian and Marcus Aurelius. Proud to be a Puerto Rican with Northern Spanish ancestry and excited to walk the Camino next month and visit Rome!

Glorious and Inspirational. It was the courage and bravery forged in their emancipatory struggle against a debauched empire that primed Christian Spain to ascend to hegemony and build one of the most glorious empires known to history. A new struggle is taking form which will again break out in the West - to purge it of today’s tyrannies and foreign encroachments. Out of that will come the next great order of things.

It's a pity Galiza is part of the Spain Kingdom. Galiza should be part of the portuguese territory since times of the secular Portugal Kingdom til actual days. Galiza is so Portuguese in all aspects: in its medieval architecture (luso gothic in its castles, cathedrals, monasteries, villes etc.), faith and devotion, landscapes, atmosphere, people and language (galaico-português) 👍
Definitely, Galiza is more Portuguese than Castellian.

@Charles Troll first of all, Spanish language does not exist! Spanih language is like Castilla wants the world knows the Castelian language that is the native language of Castilla and the official language of Spain Kingdom. So learn to never forget that Galicians speak Galego (or galaico-português) that is the native language of Galiza as well as that Catalan people speak Catalan that is the native language of Catalunya, and that Spanish is only for communication with other peoples of Spain Kingdom. But Galiza does not look like Castilla as well as those do not look like Catalunya because each one has its cultural identity and own language 👍

@Charles Troll are you crazy, man? They speak Galician! Castelian is only for communication with people from other regions of Spain or outsiders that do not know the Galician language, and all the Earth knows it. In what world do you live in? Neverland? Mars?

Our testament of faith "La Ilaha Illalah Muhammadan Rasulullah"
There is no god but Allah, the one true God, Lord of the heavens and earth and Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) is his last and final messenger shall echo throught Europe!
    This is our destiny!

@Jack EGAN why is it inappropriate for a muslim like this is only being honest and I can't see any of them pretending otherwise. it's the Nut job Left wingers who live with their heads in the sand pretending there's something wrong with having any sort of National Identity any more... a complete disgrace to our forefathers. So if no one with a spine will stand up to barbarians why complain when they get stronger and set their sights on destroying us?

First of Shaitan/Satan/Iblees is not a "Fallen angel" he is is a different breed of Allah's creation called the "Jinn".
Angels are loyal creatures that serve Allah without question!
Mankind and Jinn on the other hand do have free will. Hence why Iblees rebeled against Allah's command to prostate to prophet Adam and thus was expelled from heaven and so he became humanities greatest enemy!
