- The Duchess of Sussex has said it takes “a lot of effort” to forgive and hinted that she can “say anything” as she sat down for a wide-ranging interview in the US.
Meghan, 41, spoke about her estranged father Thomas Markle and reflected on the relationship between the Duke of Sussex and the Prince of Wales during an interview with The Cut magazine at her California home.
In the interview, running to more than 6,000 words, Meghan said that “just by existing” she and Harry were “upsetting the dynamic of the hierarchy” before they stepped down as senior working royals.
Harry’s relationship with his father is said to have been tense since the couple left the UK.
He said during their televised interview with Oprah Winfrey last year that Charles had stopped taking his calls.
Meghan told The Cut: “Harry said to me, ‘I lost my dad in this process’.
“It doesn’t have to be the same for them as it was for me, but that’s his decision.”
A spokeswoman for the duchess later made clear that Meghan was referring to losing her own father and that she hopes this does not happen to Harry and his father.
A source close to Charles said he would be saddened if Harry felt their relationship was lost, adding: “The Prince of Wales loves both his sons.”
Journalist Allison P. Davis asked Meghan if there was room for forgiveness between her, the royal family and her own family.
Meghan said: “I think forgiveness is really important. It takes a lot more energy to not forgive.

@@SharonCee521 I don't think titles will be removed while the Queen is alive. The senior Royals seem to be circling around her trying to protect her without stirring up the dust. The Queen is very frail these days; I note how much weight she has lost in the past year. I think one of the main reasons William and family are moving minutes away from her is to circumvent visits from Harry and Andrew. Only Charles or William have the authority stop them in their tracks, staff wouldn't be able to confront them.

These insults keep coming from ill-informed foreign press. It's amazing. They should educate themselves first before making fools of themselves.

@@eleanoraquitaine2966 It's honestly not meant as an insult - I'm 80 and both English and American - it's using a stereotype in the same way as sarcasm to make a point. It's peculiarly British humour/sarcasm and we do it to ourselves too - the daft bowler hatted, brief case carrying "John Cleese" type in a pin stripe suit when that "type" belongs to a huge minority. Peace.

“The Cut” article reveals a woman downright delusional, so self-aggrandizing that she actually depicts herself in god-like terms (the wording is so clearly marked as M’s that she must have supplied significant portions). I have rarely been so disturbed by a depiction of an individual so sick, superior, and out-of-control.

The n-word reference is absolutely mad. It's an Americanism (or Rap reference) and absolutely not used by members of the British RF (can you imagine?!), nor journalists & I, for one, have never heard it on the streets of London. She really slipped up with that one.
I haven't read the article and don't intend to but if it's again referring to the 'racist remark' by the family membe, then this lie is getting bigger and bigger.
The story is, Harry was at an event during the time of their engagement, a family member warned Harry that they didn't think MM would fit in. So, Harry went back and told MM this. She twisted it around as being a racist remark and nothing to do with her uncouth behaviour. Then, later she twisted the remark to be made after they were married and about Archie. Now, it's suddenly involving the n word. When will it stop?
