Archangels in season 5: the most dangerous beings in the universe aside from death and God himself Archangels in the last season: just kinda dudes with some tricks made powerless by CUFFS
angels as a whole were just so much weaker in later seasons, but my god the archangels got it worst. The Michael vs Lucifer fight in the alternate reality was PAINFULLY anti-climactic for a fight that was supposed to destroy half the planet. Also IMO this series made it way too casual and easy for the winchesters to use magic on such powerful being like an archangel, or even god, death, and Amara. The cuffs are just one example
@@Z1pZ1p3r that wouldn't explain the issue of them before they were almost extinct. Angels have been weak for a while before that but from what I remember it wasn't angels, it was heaven that was unstable - not enough angels to power it but not that it was affecting angels yet.
@@zackathlon Not in this show. Which is a fiction, so you don't have to worry because it is not your God. But it is taking the basis of the evil God does in the Bible and turning that into a character.
Should’ve also shown him (or at least let us viewers know) God let Michael stay in Lucifer’s cage. When taking on Amara. The time of when Lucifer lied that Michael’s gone insane down there, and God wasn’t gonna free even afterwards.
Man... I just wish that they stuck to continuity for this show. It just shows that the show writers didn't give a shit or never watched the first 5 seasons.
I know. I hated the arcs. What drew me to the show in the first place was the boys hunting. I lived for those episodes from season 6 on. When the angels first appeared they were badass. Then they made them weak and ruined them.
It's been almost five years since Supernatural aired it's final season. And I _still haven't watched it..._ I knew the end was coming, but part of me doesn't want it to end. It was a _huge_ part of my life. It was probably the one TV series that lasted _the longest._ (I mean, apart from Spongebob.)
Season 1-5 is really good. After that goes downhill to some extent. And then they have God as an evil character. That was it for me, I quit watching (though I have seen clips of the parts I missed on youtube).
It's so weird how god just shows up after 4 seasons with a complete personality 180 and no explanation. After the darkness there was a golden opportunity to start doing redemption arks between the different factions who were already cooperating quite a lot at that point but in the end they tried corporate monsters, then the multiverse, then kill god... Kinda felt like pandering.
I really disliked the Leviathans arc with their plans to dumb down the population with corn starch. The show definitely started to feel cheap after season 5. I don’t think God had a change in personality, they merely elaborated on his already established writer persona. Making God the final big bad villain made sense in the show, and was also quite a fresh idea. How many shows or movies can you really say have God as the villain? Still, I think it was executed poorly. I was also disappointed about how disposable the other gods were. I think that there was an opportunity there to have different pantheons interacting, and bring more creative stories in the show inspired by those other mythologies.
@@El3ctr0Lun4 "How many shows or movies can you really say have God as the villain? " Well, that's because it makes no sense. It would only make sense to a dogmatic atheist. Part of the reason I just kind of stopped enjoying supernatural was that it just turned into a shonen anime with power scaling. And when you establish such a wide gap in power levels between tiers it gets silly and boring to seeing the next super big bad thing that absolutely decimates the previous tiers. I think shows can only get away with it maybe once or twice imo.
A lot of people tend to forget that a lot of stuff has been done to him not only that, but also he isn’t in his perfect vessel, which is actually his current vessels, daughter, which was his original perfect host, but chose to give her up out of the kindness of his heart, because his vessel, Jimmy begged him not to take her
