You are very persuasive about Ordinary Human Failings. And I have resolved to try Modiano. I have been meaning to since he won the Nobel Prize a decade ago.
Patrick Modiano is such a huge name in French literature. The prizes he has won with his work are amazing. When I was in my teens and twenties I read so much French literature but for some reason I never read anything by him. Listening to you, and also reading Jorge’s comment, I want to remedy that.
Modiano is a favorite of mine. Have read many of his books. Some of them seem to be about nothing, but not really, and extremely well written. I have not read this one yet. His books the Occupation Trilogy are amazing. Two of my favorites are Villa Triste and Such Fine Boys. He would make a great author spotlight.
Ordinary Human Failings is one of the best books I’ve read in February. Other great books this month Greta & Valdin Hello Beautiful The Caretaker Currently listening to Fayne , which is a big book but so far great. 🍀📕👋📖☕️📚☘️🇮🇪
Putting Ordinary Human Failings, Get the Picture, and Art Is Life on my TBR right now. I have a slim little book by Jerry Salz called How to Be An Artist that includes wonderful, short meditations on being more creative.
Hi Sarah, lovely to meet you Saturday, excited to start watching your content. I hope you enjoyed the museums and had a safe journey back home 💜📚
Nice to see you here. Welcome! Yes, I needed that time at the National Gallery, though I hated leaving the group. Thank you for coming by!
Art Is Life sounds fantastic!! And ooooo an upcoming book haul. 🥰🥰

I look forward to you reading Ordinary Human Feelings. Is it fair to assume you will be reading the Women’s Prize list?
@@HardcoverHearts some of the list at least but in April I will mostly be reading biography and autobiography so that will get in the way a bit.

I’m glad I’m not the only one late to the party. 😅
@@HardcoverHearts I have not yet read any Modiano which feels embarrassing so you and Leo are a comfort.

Villa Triste it is then!! And that’s an interesting idea about the Author Spotlight…
Love your book happiness!
It never leaves me! Even when I read something really bad. Luckily it’s few and far between.
