Anyone reading this, I would want you to do metta for me and my family. I am 23 right now and have completed two 10 day Vipassana courses. Vipassana and Guru S.N. Goenka really helped me but lately I have been going through a really tough time. The first time I tried Vipassana I was 18 and I had the best 6 months of my adult life afterwards, but the second time when I was 20 and after completing my second 10 day Vipassana course I ended up in jail a few weeks after completing the course.(Don't feel like sharing about that much as of now) It has been a long time since I have properly practiced Vipassana. I am losing hope, peace and happiness. If you have read all this, tysm. May you be blessed by Lord Buddha with abundance of peace, well-being and happiness.

I get pain in mid back section when sit..that is the major sensation which dominates over other parts ie constant mid back doesnt allow me to concentrate but i want to progress in vipassana....wats ur advice....thx

This video is extremely edited. A relentless amount of Goenka voice instructing non stop. There is no silence and space to practice meditation. Despite the best intentions of the person who edited this video, it is not the way Goenka instructed a group and I found this audio meditation not faithful or useful for my practice. The benefit of it was that, while meditating and listening to it with certain unpleasant sensation, I was able to be aware of the feeling I had of abort and stop the audio and I could practice equanimity and did not do it.
Anicca vata sankhara, uppadavaya-dhammino Impermanence is the nature of all conditioned phenomenon. They arise and pass away, again and again, with great rapidity. Uppajjitva nirujjhanti, (2x) tesam vupasamo sukho. When past sensations arise and are met with awareness/equanimity, their cessation brings true happiness. Aneka-jati samsaram sandhavissam anibbisam, Through countless births in the cycle of existence I have run, in vain Gahakarakam gavesanto dukkha-jati-punappunam. seeking the builder of this house; and again and again I faced the discomfort of new birth. Gahakaraka! Dithosi, puna geham na kahasi. Oh housebuilder! Now you are seen. You shall not build a house again for me. Sabba te phasuka bhagga, gahakutam visankhitam. All your beams are broken, the ridgepole is shattered. Visankhara-gatam cittam, tanhanam khayamajjhaga. The mind has become freed from conditioning; the end of craving has been reached. Sabbe sankhara anicca'ti. yada pannaya passati, Impermanent are all compounded things. When one perceives this with insight, Atha nibbindati dukkhe. esa maggo visuddhiya. then one turns away from suffering; this is the path of purification. Sabbesu cakkavajesu yakkha deva ca brahmano, May the holy entities of all the universes Yam amhehi katam punnam, sabba sampatti sadhikam. rejoice in this wholesome meditation process performed by us, which is productive of all happiness. Sabbe tam anumoditva, samagga sasane rata, May they all, unitedly devoted to the teaching pamada rahita hontu arakkhasu visesato. be without negligence, especially in giving protection. Punna bhagamidam c'annam, samam dadama karitam. We share with all equally the merit of this meditation and other wholesome deeds. Anumodantu tam sabbe, medini thatu sakkhike. @@honest_bishop5905 i know about anapana is about reality of breathing , in day 1 first they said about observe between nose and lips aand nose upper area day 2 nose inner part ans between nose and lip day 3 only between nose and lip upper area remaining days are body scaning palm size with breathing as usual this is what i learn from retreat is this correct way , my center is very rural area only one person is there to explain ..only 3 students ... so want to know is this the real technique ? Once the body and mind are calm and steady, we can begin vipassana by scanning the body slowly, from top to bottom, for sensations. When we observe any type of sensation, we label it for what it is, whether it be warmth, pressure, pain, itch. We remain equanimous and unmoving towards the sensations, and then move on, continuing the scanning of our body. Every time we respond with equanimity, we are cultivating patience, tolerance and will power. For the whole duration of Vipassana meditation, we simply scan the body for sensations with our awareness and respond always with equanimity, neither craving pleasurable sensations not generating aversion towards unpleasurable ones. thank you in advance waiting for your reply .
@@phanikatam4048Yes Correct.. Just a small thing , no need to label anything . It must be as you observe it , no imagination. You feel the sensations and respond with samata, without evaluating it good or bad.

What to do if one experiences numbness in leg during meditation?
We don’t have to react over it.
