Because your teacher will make sure you understand, while this just a Short. If you're confused about something, for example, you're not assured he will answer you. I'm pretty sure a teacher would.
I’m definitely an advocate of getting a few lessons in with a private teacher, since they can give feedback in real-time, help with posture and technique. But for your information, I always answer questions in my comments.
@@30SecondDrumLessons I guess Im more of a show me dont tell me kind of guy. He went over all these things and I was like....ok...what do I do with that? It makes more sense to show me how those notes sound rather than just the concept in my mind.
I consider myself n intermediate. I can cover songs by ear ( not note for note sometimes but def in time n sounding good) I feel I plateaued on my own. Lol. Don’t get me wrong. I still play n practice DAILY. jus want some lessons I think. About time I start really understand how to really work n understand rudiments I’m playing across the kit.
@@unofficialbobcat I practice by offsetting the accent(s). Play four on the floor w bass, play quintups and accent the three and five (within the tuplet, not the measure🙂), or whatever you can come up with other than an accent on the one. Beginner music reader here… with 1/4 note triplets, how can there be 6 quarter notes in one measure? Isn’t it limited to 4? Or does it break across measures?
Oh yeah! Are these clips numbered or anything? I’m also not the best with technology😂 But there’re just so many It’s really hard find one again after going away from it
Watch a bunch of lessons to get the understanding of rhythms. But my suggestion is that every beginner should at least book one lesson with a drum teacher, as an introduction.
Apologize for my english. You’re great but i think the timing fraction with the 3, or 6, etc should be write 3/4 or 6/4 and not always 4/4 or am i wrong? Thanks

Been playing for 11 years. Septuplets still fuck me up.
Luckily, you will probably never use them professionally 😅
@@30SecondDrumLessons i only know whole note half note quarter note 8th note half dotted note and quarter dotted note, what are quarter note triplets 8th note triplets quintuplets sextuplets septuplets 16th note 32nd note and 64th note?

Thanks!! :D
I found this really helpful. Thanks!!!
You're very welcome! :D
This was super helpful, thank you!

Simple and easy for a beginner. For tho, this is super helpful for people to understand rhythm thank you.

Wow I literally learned a lot in 20 seconds than pulling up 15 different videos for this 😊!! Thanks
This is perfect for me! Thanks 👌🙌
My pleasure, bud! 🔥
I find the quarter note triplets mesmerizing
🙌🤗
I’m a self taught advanced drummer and these videos are great. Perfect amount of what you need to know
🔥🙌
EXCELLENT!!
🙌
Ya neva know what method sinks in. Tahnks mon.😊
Thats only when it says *"4/4"* at the start.
*Edit:* Or *"2/2",* a C or a C with a stripe through it.
Yeah, but I wouldn't teach note value to a beginner with 7/8 for example...
Majority of the music people listen to is 4/4
@@30SecondDrumLessons I understand, climbing stairs from start to top in one step is not possible.
Top 👏👏🙌🙏
Thanks!
Can't wait to write my new song in 5/7
Interesting, I’ve never heard of that time signature before 😅
Very good
😃
What about half note triplets and dotted note values like dotted half and quarter notes?
That's for another video ;)
Dude I’ve been drumming for two years, this short is what finally what it click! (Click track pun) but for real, my brain finally understands
Awesome, Darrel!!
🔥 perfectly
Thanks! 🔥

How do you recommend practicing quintuplets and septuplets?
You could indian syllables
For 5
Tha Ka tha ki ta
For 7
Tha ka Tha ki ta tha ka
Just my opinion
@@ppauljefferson interesting, I just always get caught up in how each would fit in a quarter note

Woah it’s like piano I’ll be able to play drums easily
Note value stays the same with every instrument, but that doesn't mean you know the technique for every instrument ;)
You calling us dummies 🤨😂
We all are at the start! 😎
bros a human metronome
Haha nah, but thanks!! 🔥
Can u go faster tho?
Sure, but do I need to?

64ths?
I left that out intentionally
