tbh the actual mythology goes as malikappurathamma is form of madhurai meenakshi who was the clan deity of the pandalam kingdom which was a subsidary of the pandya kingdom and its said that malikapurathamma is a motherly form to lord ayyappa and i dont think the version of malikappuratham being lord ayyappa is a very accurate story..

No, shiva can't be attracted to anyone but Vishnu himself. Also mohini doesn't have a reproductive organ. That's why ayappa was born from the thigh of Vishnu. Why gay is such a negative word for you? Our gods don't discriminate on the basis of you liking a guy or women.
So sad story is not correct what u say .Every gods requested them to have a Child to kill a demon who ruled devas in that time. With the birth of manikandan every gods are happy. Shivji and vishnuji put manikandan near pamba river because king is the shiva bhaktha and his wife is the krishna bhaktha who has no child for years and praying to their respective goddess to have a child. As a boon gods give their child to king and queen without knowing them whose child is this. Queen loves manikandan so much that even god bless them by thier own child every one loves manikandan so much. The minister tried to brainwash the queen that some jungle boy is becoming king and not your son then the queen built hatred towards manikantan and the queen rajvadya and minister planned to kill manikantan. And one day she acted Has she has severe headache and the rajvadya said we need tiger milk to save queen then manikantan said that he will go to the forest to bring tiger milk and when he went to forest in search of tiger milk mahishi gets to know that the child of Shiva and Vishnu is here to kill me and she goes near manikantan And manikantan and mahishi fight and mahishi dies and becomes a beutiful women and her name was mallikapurathama she asked manikantan to marry her and manikantan refused and he said that when no kanniswamy will come to my temple that time I will marry you she became happy and manikantan also blessed her to stay near him when his temple is built then indra becomes tiger and comes to the palace then everyone gets to know he is god and asked for forgiveness and manikantan asked rajashekara that where ever this arrow will fall there you should build me a temple
