The coloring on these new ones are based off the promotional artwork, just like the tmnt from shf. The coloring on the first release of these guys are pretty accurate to the cartoon.
People didn’t start liking Raphael till the movies started coming out because the stories would revolve around him due to his complicated nature. Mikey was everyone’s favorite before that.
The answer to what TMNT you like best isn't that simple and actually may end up revealing more about yourself then you think. For me it changed with my age and the different interpretations, depths and directions each character went through with every new author that got their hands on the Turtle brothers. During 1987 when I first met the franchise at the age of 9 I gravitated towards Mikey, he was the embodiment of child like fun, irresponsibility, humor and coolness, so I ended up identifying myself with him. A couple of years latter after the live action movies when I was around 16 I liked Raph better, he was a rebellious character, disobedient, insurgent and unruly, so at that age I naturally identified more with him. Even though I didn't had a Donny stage myself, I knew a couple of friends that had one with the internet marketing and accessibility to the general public around 1998/99. I only started liking Leonardo, he is the only turtle I call by the full name, when I eventually got to read IDW comics about the TMNT and that only happened as a young adult, more mature, experienced and in touch with my inner self. I know this was and still is different for each kid, teenager or adult that follows this franchise in all its forms throughout all these years, this is one of the reasons why this franchise works for almost every body, each turtle has a different personality that you can relate yourself to. I could elaborate a lot more about this but what I mean to say is I like them all, it depends on what I'm feeling like on the day you ask, today I'm more a mix of Leonardo and Donny, ask me again tomorrow... I like this brighter green better (though my ideal figures would all have a different shade of green like the original Playmates toys) but I like the old belt buckle better. The black ones on these stand out too much.
Neca makes better tmnt figures than playmates, in my opinion. The figures have more detail and looks like it came out of the cartoon, unlike the Playmates ones.
Omg I like Leonardo but ligit I loveeeeee Donatello he my favorite omg Cory Feldman lol Donatello is mostly my favorite Bc Cory Feldman plays him and Cory Feldman in my opinion is the best actor in this planet😊
I prefer the different colored turtles. I don't remember them being so bright in the cartoon. I won't be getting them because my collecting days are pretty much over but I still enjoy watching your reviews.
Yeah, those new colors are more in line with the comic images and commercial pics they used for the cartoon but not the cartoon itself. For that you get the darker ones.
I really love TMNT because of the games and tv shows. Ive seen the 80s on vhs and re runs, but I mainly grew up with the 2003 versions. Do you know if there is any good figures to collect for the '03 turtles?
These reviews make me sad. Being in the UK I have no choice but to look on eBay. These two packs, Beebop and Rock steady and the henchmen two packs are all hitting about a hundred dollars with shipping but before import duty....waaay too much....

The cutout of Bebop and Rocksteady is from an episode where the turtles were using them as target practice in a landfill.
