In this video I travel to an active volcano in Indonesia called Mount Ijen. Within the crater is one of the deadliest jobs in the world... Sulphur mining. The workers here have to fight off toxic gases spewing from the volcano, some of which can kill you instantly, and others appear to drastically reduce the workers lifespan.
The conditions are so bad that the workers must also avoid falling into the world's most dangerous acid lake which is at the bottom of the crater and is filled with Sulfuric acid.
The risks to the workers' health are so extreme that it's hard not to question why are they doing this job...
In order to answer this question I travel there and try to complete the job myself...

i feel bad for the workers but at the same time thye joined that job
in another version of this vid we went into more how the workers have very little choice but to do this job because of education opportunities etc. Would be cool to show the full story some day

There’s a difference between a gas mask and a respirator A gas mask covers the entire face. A respirator, only covers your mouth and nose.

one thing I have learned about safety masks is they are not really that effective if you dont shave your beard :P can't get a good seal on a face full of hair, keep that in mind the next time you wear one
