I got the a12 today and I have to say it's not half bad. It's a decent budget phone that has a good battery, ram ETC. Over all, quite a good phone that gets the job done.

Well technically the phone cost a dollar LOL My internet costs 50 a month as well. First 3 months they put my installation fee in that is 100 bucks spread throughout my first 3 bills (83) Only upfront cost was 12$ for phone sales tax. 50 a month Internet 83 first month plus sales tax and prorated( 1st month will be most expensive) 83 flat next 2 months then 50 a month after that!
I have just bought this phone my first real smartphone and love it for me and my purpose and amazing phone. Don't see why you seem so negative not everyone has loads of money to blow on a high end phone. This for me was hard to buy on my limited budget I am really pleased with the phone no problems suits my simple needs and for me it's an amazing phone all around definitely recommend
It's because à lot of people are having trouble with it I also like to spend my money on something else so I got a redmi 10 it's just better at the same price point but the a 12 is still a solid choice
Still have my galaxy a10 from 2019 and couldn't be happier, it does everything I need for a banger price, people pay way too much for their phones and only use them for facebook , really stupid.
@Mafineko If an A10 does everything he needs it to do perfectly then even if he gets to use a flagship then it won't make much difference for him. We all have our own preferences (i have a friend who had to choose between Reno 5 5G (midrange) and Mi 10T Pro (flagship processor), which are around at the same price, and she chose Reno 5 just because she felt more comfortable with it)
@Mafineko I've had expensive phones and yes they feel great but the feeling isn't nearly enough to warrant a 1000 dollars price tag, expensive phones are just status symbols a mid range phone does exactly the same thing as an expensive one.
I have an A10s from 2019 but 2 weeks ago it couldn't charge. I fixed it but now it doesn't accept my sim card so I'm planning on getting the A12. I used to spend so much money on phones until I got the A10s but not anymore. It's just a little difference in my eyes. Budget phone all the way

But me personally , I feel like the happiest and the best of us are those who have strayed away from materialism and enjoy their life regardless of things they possess / don't possess. Also not to mention most people don't even need the high end phone
@Mafineko don't need to pay that much for telephone unless you want to impress people. I am on a limited budget and would rather pay a £20 a month phone and have £30 in my pocket than pay £50 a month phone and have nothing in my pocket.
Using the 2021 version of the A12, pleasantly surprised. No hiccups at all during my use, main camera is good, ultra wide.... meh. Screen is nice. Not a bad little phone for less than £170
I got mine about 5 days now and it came on android 11 and the battery is very good. It lost me up to 8 hours and i was playing games with high graphic, watching youtube,instagram and tik tok.
I also got this unit. Actually, the fingerprint scanner works for me well even for the left index finger. Overall feels a little slow, especially in screen scrolls. But the budget shut my mouth up. :)
@@hassaanfaisal3982 hello, It does work if you install the screen protector properly in a single shot. Take tech support to install it. If you already do so... Probably the low-quality screen protector will be troublesome. The first time I installed a good quality bit pricy screen protector worked so well. No issue. But the second one that was a low quality made touch response horrible
TBH. The a12 I have has no problem unlocking by resting my thumb or index with a case!!! . The key is to get a good print by scanning it in as if you were to unlock it normally, but around different points of the finger tip all the way to 100% to insure it to work even when placed awkwardly. This phone is honestly amazing for me. I spend money on clothes and shoes, video games and most importantly my household. I didn't want to pay 400+ for an older iPhone or s model galaxy. For $200... I literally got everything I needed...

@@callofthebots2854 nope, Australia. I finally got it. It's not a bad phone at all! I was worried with it being so cheap but it does what I need. Colours are quite flat if you have ever used a better Samsung device with vivid mode you'll notice it.
Just got mine recently not bad, and it better than than the last infinix note7 I used, the background and graphics level it just way good for a low budget phone appreciates the consistency.

I have this phone and your review helped me a lot! Thx! But i have never really had problems with fingerprint tho. It's a pretty nice phone. But ladies. It's quite big so make sure you are prepared 2 hold it in your hands a lot of the time cause it probably won't always fit in your pockets. But apart from that i haven't found a reason 2 not buy this phone. It's a good price in compare 2 the phone you buy. Overall just thumbs up😁👍🏼

@@danygh idk abour the reall big games that cost real money and stuff. But i had no problems with all theys games at the same time. I had/and still have: reddit, instagram, whatsapp, snapchatt, brawl stars, minecraft, AFK arena, dragons world, Evertale, fruit ninja, Subway surf, disney+, nertflix, spotify. And all this storage place didn't make the gaming any less on my phone. Camera speed kept the same. But i also have a extra card for more memory. So that might make a little difference. But i'm no pro or anything at this but i hope this kinda gave you a good answer

Is camera that bad? Samsung isn't the cheaper option (actually here in Argentina it's quite expensive), so I'd expect a more decent behaviour. I've seen so many bad reviews on that, especially at night and using the front camera :|
@@paularizzo7764 Well it's all right The quality when taking the photo or video looks bad. But when it's done proccesing it does look quite nice. Not the best but hey you get what you pay. You can also check other galaxy models for the same price Aswell. Like Samsung galaxy a21s

I'm not 100% sure, but with a factory reset you will surely return to Android 10, since it's the one that comes pre-installed in the core of the cell phone. I bought a sammy galaxy s8 5 years ago as my phone company was trying to get rid of them to sell s9's. So I got a budget friendly phone 5 years ago. A month ago i switched carriers and got a A12, and other than the battery, I gotta say, I'm not sure I got an upgrade. The camera says its 40 some megapixels, but the camera is WORSE than the 10 megapixel sammy galaxy s8. The battery is better, but other than that, I would have just bought an s8 with the new carrier

The method to take a screenshot is fiddly to get right (simultaneously pressing the volume down button and main side button). I much prefer this option in the 'tools' button , as on the S5, nice and easy.
Eyeing up this or the G10, what would you recommend?? It’ll just be used for work, so using Nav, a booking app & SumUp card reader. Yeah I bought that phone I didn’t like it so I sold it it wasn’t powerful enough for what I do but it’s good as a random round spare phone And it’s good for kids that have their first phone.
The fingerprint is also good for me but over time the scrolling get slow.

The battery life is excellent and it handles whatever I throw at it ,the rear camera is awesome and it's fast enough for me ,I bought a Uag cover for it so it's looking boss!! Only real complaint is the selfie camera,it's ok and does the job but not the best

Mister Spurt, the fingerprint scanner works fine. You can change how it works in the settings....press and unlock or unlock immediately.

Thanks for telling you were unable to find confirmation on software updates. That is important information to me when I am considering a new phone.
I'd be shocked if this phone doesn't get at least one Android OS update as well as regular security patches. Samsung are one of the best for updates
Got myself a A12 today-it’s a very nice budget Samsung phone. Though the A12 sold here in Aus lacks NFC. Mine is the one with the Exynos 850 SoC.

Weird. On my end the sensor is pretty snappy. It always turns on and unlocks my phone 100% of the time.
I've had my google pixel one since launch in 2016. It died a week ago. I think the battery decided it's had enough. I'm thinking of picking this phone up

The method to take a screenshot is fiddly to get right (simultaneously pressing the volume down button and main side button).
I much prefer this option in the 'tools' button , as on the S5, nice and easy.
Eyeing up this or the G10, what would you recommend?? It’ll just be used for work, so using Nav, a booking app & SumUp card reader.
However, as an iPhone user, I may have to download some game emulators on it & use it for that too!
