The S550 is a steal for that price. The W222 generation is amazing and you get a LOT of car. The E would also be a good deal considering it seems to be sorted.
At least for me, 14K + fees for the E550 sounds very reasonable. The cheapest new 2023 Mercedes C Class convertible with a 4 cylinder turbo engine is $57K (no options)... it probably loses the E550's price in value in the first year or two.

That is one of the first I have seen on youtube, that actually looks good, and runs great without any check engine light or any other warnings sings.
It is a gorgeous car. I think people need more practical vehicles like SUVs with good gas mileage. High trim at a good price. I also think people worry about reselling it with a flood title.
Maybe wait till next spring with the E-Class when everyone is looking for a convertible. Now in the middle of summer, everybody who wants one has one. 11:50 If I could choose between the E-Class or the SSR on a 10h trip it would be the Benz. I don't say that because I'm German, I say that because the Benz has more creature comforts that I'd want on a long-ass trip like that.

SHOenough its great your getting a Taurus SHO. I think the biggest problem Ford had with that body style was they went a bit overboard and it looks like an "unhappy catfish" from the front end. I drive a 2000 and that was when they made it a little more mainstream but no SHO for several years. As a kid in the 80s I always wanted a 5 speed SHO Yamaha that boasted 220 HP and was naturally aspirated. Have a safe trip with the family. Your big fan in far away Wichita Kansas.

I suspect the Benz Convertible will sell soon enough at your price. I cannot wait to see the SHO. Yes I knew there was a V8 and they are fun to drive, however unlike the first 2 generations, the 3rd gen SHO really did not look much different than the regular Taurus models. A slightly bulged hood, rear spoiler (which could be ordered on any 3rd gen taurus), SHO name plate on the rear and V8 on the fender and that was basically all. Not to mention the lack of manual trans killed a lot of interest in them when new. I have found them to be a bit of a pain to work on due to the fact that they shoehorned this engine into a car where the V6 engines made the engine bay look cramped. Hopefully the former owner had the cam sprockets welded.
Whenever you get that Tuarus do a really nice exhaust if it doesnt have it. They sound amazing! Im really jelly heh. Been wanting one and a first year with the manual. 🤘 Ps Doug Demuro did a video on the Mitsubishi just recently maybe thats why it sold quick. The remote controls ac/heat and can maintain temp when you are away. It also can set the time at which the car charges if plugged up. It can be postponed till a certain time like late at night to save money on your power bill. Just fyi if you didnt already know.🤘

I love that S class, maybe it's my 61 years of age but that night time interior is mesmerizing and I bet it drives great. In Australia they range from $32,000 USD to $84,000 USD. Amazing price difference when compared to US market.
the S-class and E-class are worth your asking price in my mind, because I payed 20,000 for my GLK-350 AMG appearance last year with around 150,000 miles with no issues.

The e550 has flood title and a lot of dealer are a scared to buy a car like that which your e550 looks really clean and with the summer weather your car sell for a good price.

Hi Randy, i would drive the Benz everyday in the week to Indiana, i miss my old Benz, so comfortable to drive. The only downside was the habit for gas and that is expensive in Sweden.
