I like both personally. I look at them completely different tho. One is basically portable 5 and the other is made for a console. I overall prefer world over rise but I CANT STAND having to soften targets. I think that mechanic is pure ass. Its more of a chore than anything else to me and it makes the game less fun. I main impact CB tho and impact CB doesn't care about softening lol. What makes me go back to rise tho is the weapons. I love what they did with them and how you can basically customize your move set. I also prefer the end game in rise over world. Having to farm the guiding lands for hours on end just to get that 1 monster you need and it doesn't drop what you need it to is just a waste of time to me. I'm still doing it because I went back to world to get 999/999 like I have in rise but there's only so much of it I can take because of the end game and clutch claw before I go back to rise for the superior move sets. Yes with rise you still have to farm anomalies but the fact that I can que for a random hunt is what I like. If I pick the monster I will never hunt the little ones like Great Jagras or Pukei-Pukei. With the random hunts in rise I still farm the lower monsters just as much as the higher. Although there is days where the random is all Risen S.Magala lol. I also prefer the laired armor system in Rise over world but its a newer game and its a given to have a better laired system. There's more but I feel like I'm rambling so ill end it here lol.
This just seems like a bash on Rise rather than a comparison. Rises endgame is imo better. Guiding lands is just an rng fest and hope 1 of the 3 monsters is something you need.
One big argument in favor of Sunbreak is the weapon moveset and customizable moves. I'm not talking about the combat itself but the new moves weapons got. For example, the Special Sheath for the LS alone is worth playing Sunbreak instead of World if you're a fan of LS, but there's examples for every single weapon. But this was also the case with World when compared to Generations Ultimate. GU has better movesets and customization for the same reason.

You purposely underplay sunbreak. Red scroll mode and blue scroll mode give you superior combat options. They didnt add too much? Dude they added so many customizable moves compared to clutch claw. Way too much if you take into account all 14 weapons. The scrolls are way superior to what the clutch claw gives. Not only that all those points about how in world you can ram monsters into walls can be done with the spiders. The reason sunbreak has inferior graphics is because of their limited options. Mainly them being stuck with the switch console which at its release was already older gen then the other consoles it came out with. Lastly all your points that would've given sunbreak points over world was severely underplayed. You act like they're nothing when in reality they are awesome as hell. The combat isn't easy as well, it only feels easier because you have superior maneuverability and combat options to choose from when fighting monsters. Your now more dangerous as a hunter because you aren't limited to clunky movement anymore. And if you've done the lvl300 special investigation you'd know that its hard as hell especially fighting Risen Shagaru with Charge blade. Your clearly biased against rise.
thank god im not the only one who noticed it sure cool he likes iceborne better than rise, thats fair, i relate, but i feel alot of the time he doesnt give rise a fair chance and purposely makes rise sound lame. especially when he was mentioning the cast... theres so many gems in rise, too. (Magalas, Mizu, Seregios, ESPINAS, Amatsu, PriMal, Risens are goated) and not even mentioning rise has more variety in the TYPES of monsters in the cast. and world doesnt have leviathans lol (major L)
As I stated at the end of the video, world has objectively more to offer compared to rise but some people may not like that. I also highlighted the sheer amount of customization in rise and sunbreak so I understand what you are trying to say there. I see it more as the clutch claw was added onto your moveset in iceborne whereas in sunbreak, you may never even use half of the available switch skills. Another way to view it is let's say a weapon has 5 moves. in iceborne that number goes up to 6 but in sunbreak you swap out 1 move for another. While that move might be more interesting than the original you still have just 5 moves. Plus, on your comment on the special investigations, those are quests that you would only play at the absolute end of the game and wouldn't affect difficulty up until those quests. Their entire purpose is being difficult simply because the rest of the game was too easy. And you stated that the game seems easy cause of the movement because that's what literally makes it easier. lack of such movement is what makes world harder (needing to use i-frames more and not having as many movement options with weapons). This isn't bias, it is simply fact: World has more to offer than Rise.
