Be careful also of the currency exchange right in the airport. The Vietnam Dong currency is also confusing and they can take advantage of tourist by undervaluing your currency by 30% to 40%.

I love vietanm its more open and easier visa for Indians unlike scam and crowded visa on arrival procedure for thailand which is super time consuming and over priced and people are very kind..since I visited the first time Ive left thailand which I feel is more overpriced and overhyped and definitely no no for family visits usually all cheap desi uncles heading there for cheap hanky panky...All Indians who are looking for true natural beauty,beaches and great atmotphere where bar girls are not chasing you or touching you in open street like in Thailand then Vietnam is for you and best part you can bring your kids and family too !

You can get it in any city money exchange. Convert INR to USD in India in Thomas cook or Orient Express or Bookmyforex. When you reach Vietnam, you can go to an exchange in Hanoi or wherever you land and get VND. You can ask your hostel people they will tell you the street to get the best prices. Hanoi one is mentioned in the video

Hi Priyanka! It depends on the exchange rate. That depends on where you get it exchanged.
It also depends on the value of INR and Dong at that time that you go.
For example, I paid Rs. 26.2k for 7Million VND. So, I paid approximately 3k extra compared to what you see on Google.
To get the best deal, see money exchange companies or banks in your city who will give you the best exchange rate.
Convert INR to USD. When you reach Vietnam, go to Hang Bao Street and convert USD to Vietnamese Dong.

Why is the visa costing you 55 dollars while on the official site its 25 dollars?
For the fast track one (which you will get in 2 days) it's 55 dollars. The one you will get in 10 days is 25 dollars.

Can we change exit airport? Visa me ho chi Minh City airport dala tha but i want to keep entry and exit airport as Hanoi
I think it's better to change the exit airport on the visa to avoid any issues. You can mail the immigration. I got it changed too :)

I am going to Vietnam on Jan 14th,2023. I have an E-visa, itinerary, north to south stay also booked. I have the following questions:
- can I extend the Vietnam visa without leaving the country? My visa will end on Feb 6th after that I am planning to extend or will go to Cambodia and apply running visa to come back to Vietnam. Not sure which will work.
- still, I haven't taken the return flight. Is there will be any problem? waiting to extend the visa or trip to Cambodia
- shall in exchange the currency in India itself? If I exchange in India, whether I want to exchange to USD or VND.
Sorry for so many questions. It will be helpful if I get answer for this.

- as far as I know, currently direct extension of visa is not supported, so better do a visa-run or go to Cambodia and come back
- it’s ok if you don’t have a return flight. Are you travelling solo? Maybe you can book an onward flight to Cambodia or bus.
- exchange INR to USD in India and change to Dong when you get to Vietnam 🙂

As here in Mumbai they are charging ridiculous fees to get vnd so it’s better i would cash out from the atm for my sim and bus to the city centre and then later exchange usd in the city

3. Sapa mai I spent 1 day, I didnt like it so much as it was similar to Manali
I saw silver waterfall & Quy Ho pass road trip. People usually go to climb the Fansipan but the weather should be very clear for that, else its risky. Some people do Fansipan on cable car which costs more. Some people stay with localities in Muong Hao Valley for experience but I think its very touristy thing to do, its better to visit actual local places like Hagiang than do this.

4. Travel insurance mandatory toh nahi hai, but, if you want, go to policybazaar.com. I took Bajaj Allianz and Reliance. I tried to claim Reliance for something but they take a lottt of time, still not gotten it!

I don’t think so. I was using a zero forex markup card. Apply for the Niyo Card from their app. You ll get it easily within a week 😇
