For new players horizontals is just a bad idea, you join the game you have 0 cards and 0 skill points and some runes, you're missing some tid bits here and there that would make your character work and feel like it's "end game" ready or at least put you somewhere where you won't be missing too much compared to veterans.
I think the horizontal just needs a rework. It’s fine to have it, the relevant stuff is just too far away (especially Ignea tokens and Sea Bounties), and new horizontal is just added on top of existing horizontal. Maybe require a small amount of horizontal for each system so that it is a recognizable part of the world and players interact with it. Have them all earn a common horizontal point system after that so you can just pursue the one you actually like (or hate the least). Later rewards for completing more horizontal could be mats/silver/gold
There's no way I would ever do horizontal again. It's insane how much time it takes. They need to cut it down in terms of time it takes for where people start off in the game now. Or at the very least, make it rewarding with materials again for T3+ so that players can get something along with the progress to work on vertical progress. Even if the horizontal is far more important than some honing mats, it might make it feel better to do. Just might two cents. Edit: Forgot to add that a lot of the content needs to be cut down in raw days required like Una's completions. The amount of un-skippable time is just unreasonable if you want new players to gain a lot of this skill point potions and runes. Not even getting into cards...
You know its okay to grind those horizontal content but if the drop rate is lower than 1% its BIG NO so better make it atleast 90% Drop rate people will enjoy it and progress the player easy and more fun
Define 'lazy' lol, to effectively play Lost Ark you have to play daily whether it's vertical or horizontal content it doesn't matter, and it's going to be the only game you play, forever... this is a huge ask for most 'normal' people. I'm starting to think that there's something very wrong with all of us xd But It is what it is :)
@@rodux8031lol Your pissed that you did the hard grind so u don't want new players to have an easy time but want them to suffer just like us not a healthy mindset 😂😂
Personally, I think the horizontal grind is by far worse for a lot of the game until you near the end of the vertical grind. Because, even though you are gaining a lot through it, you don't really FEEL like you are gaining power through the horizontal grind even though it's quite substantial as it adds up to a lot. That being said, it's still worth a try to play--just don't push yourself if it ever feels like it's too much and you're not having fun. If the grind ever gets overwhelming and not enjoyable, just stop playing until you feel like it again.
give us skill points. im to lazy too farm all those twice

No it doesnt people need to stop being lazy. Some things need rework but most of it is fine. Lazy gamers 😴😴

Thinking of checking it out. I've heard that the grind get tremendous. What are your thoughts?

I recommend it's a blast to raid assuming you don't get gatekept especially now that the express event boosts you to 1540
