This was awesome! Perfect crew, perfect vehicles... I hope that I can do that sometime... Thank you so much for sharing this, greetings from Germany! xx
Nicely done, Ben. One of the best videos from NZ I have seen so far. Had to be a challenge to drive some of the narrow roads. Where did you park the bus overnight, DOC camp sites? This no longer looks like a budget backpacker holiday :-)
Thanks so much! Hah some roads were really tricky/fun to drive. Overnight camping varied from doc sites to free camp sites to anywhere we could find or a nice deserted beach! But we never payed for any camping In the whole 2 and a half months
+Ryan Thanks! Cost me about $2000 (NZ) for 9 weeks. Not sure how much it cost to kit out. But Joe bought it for $3000 and did it all himself over 4 months.
Oh My god! This is seriously my dream! (But then maybe with a smaller bus) I love your footage so much! Are there any more videos from the trip coming up? I bet you have so much more! I really want to look at the "road to adventure" Facebook page, but I can't find it. Looks like the link is broken or something? Really nice work!
+Linnéa D Hi Linnéa! Thanks so much :) Here is the link, sorry it was wrong in the description! I think they may be making more video of future trips, but I won't be yet sadly :( facebook.com/road2adventure?fref=ts
thanks! For me it cost about $3000 NZ for 9 weeks - but I didn't buy the bus and renovate it. That was just to cover fuel, food, some activities and bus maintenance. They bought the bus for around $8000 NZ and spent $20,000 to convert it to a motorhome.
This is such inspiration!!! We are converting a bus at the moment in New Zealand so we can do this FULLTIME!
