I taught bespoke health care as a fundamental principle for decades.
Does natural and hybrid immunity obviate the need for frequent vaccine boosters against SARS-CoV-2 in the endemic phase?
    pubmed.ncbi.nl...
    onlinelibrary....
    Stefan Pilz John PA Ioannidis
The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has entered its endemic phase
We observe significantly declining infection fatality rates due to severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2).
    Now
It is crucial but challenging to define current and future vaccine policy,
in a population with a high immunity against SARS-CoV-2,
conferred by previous infections and/or vaccinations.
Vaccine policy must consider the magnitude of the risks conferred by new infection(s),
with current and evolving SARS-CoV-2 variants,
how these risks vary in different groups of individuals,
how to balance these risks against the apparently small, but existent, risks of harms of vaccination,
and the cost-benefit of different options.
More evidence from randomized controlled trials,
and continuously accumulating national health data is required,
to inform shared decision-making with people who consider vaccination options.
Vaccine policy makers should cautiously weight what vaccination schedules are needed,
and refrain from urging frequent vaccine boosters unless supported by sufficient evidence.
    The key issue
Whether and how to consider natural immunity after SARS-CoV-2 infections, and hybrid immunity
It is very likely that the large majority of the global population has been infected with SARS-CoV-2,
at least once by late 2022
    (Excluding China)
People who have never been infected have probably become a rarity.
It is well established that previous SARS- CoV-2 infections induce a significant and long-lasting protection against reinfections,
and even more so against severe COVID-19.3-6
    Lets check the evidence
    pubmed.ncbi.nl...
Risk of reinfection and disease after SARS-CoV-2 primary infection: Meta-analysis
    91 studies, n = 15,034,624
    Infections n = 158,478 reinfections
During the first 3 months of Omicron wave,
    the reinfection rates reached 3.31%.
Overall rates of severe/lethal COVID-19 were very low,
    (2-7 per 10,000),
and were not affected by strain predominance.
    Conclusions
A strong natural immunity follows the primary infection and may last for more than one year,
suggesting that the risk and health care needs of recovered subjects might be limited.
Although the reinfection rates considerably increased during the Omicron wave,
the risk of a secondary severe or lethal disease remained very low.
The risk-benefit profile of multiple vaccine doses for this subset of population needs to be carefully evaluated.
Back to Pilz, PA loannidis paper
Compared to vaccination by two doses,
natural immunity was associated with a significantly higher protection against SARS-CoV-2 infections before the emergence of Omicron,
when identical times have elapsed since the last immune conferring event.
    Denmark
Little viral spread until late 2021,
and then massive infections with Omicron,
ensued in a population that had been widely vaccinated.
Omicron infection fatality rate (IFR) until mid-March 2022,
    6.2 per 100,000 infections,
among apparently healthy people 17-72 years
Compared to previous infection waves in Denmark, there was a very significant decline in IFR
    Omicron wave
In populations with substantial prior exposure to SARS-CoV-2,
re-infections, less than a quarter of the hospitalization risk,
    and one-tenth the mortality
    Vojvodina, Serbia
    1% of re-infections required hospitalization
Case fatality for re-infections was 0.15%
    Accounting for non- ascertained infections,
this suggests that IFR for re-infections,
may be less than 0.05%, (even in people who have not been vaccinated)

I rarely get sick, I fight off colds within a day. The last two years I have never witnessed so many poorly clients and sadly have had clients and clients family die in a huge amount over the past few months. Hi Dr John. I had a struggle with rising blood pressure levels for a couple of years that were creeping up slowly. once my levels hit the red, and not wanting to use medication, I did a bit of research. Stopped drinking alcohol. Ate more fruit and veg. Stopped eating pork, proscessed meat, and all proscessed foods including pasta and rice. Started fasting intermittently. Blood pressure is now normal. Hope this helps. Just a quick edit to my post. Sugar and proscessed food is the route cause of most, if not all metabolic deseases. Don't confuse this with the sugar in fruit as this comes in a package of fibre , vitamins and minerals. If I could convince just a few people to quit fake food and sugar laced products, I will be a happy man.

      @shayneswenson 2 ปีที่แล้ว +37

Harder to quit than heroin that “convenience food” is, and I’ve quit both…well the heroin at least(many years ago). Sugar and processed/easy foods are an entirely different beast and I’m finding it just as horrendously difficult to get away from the sugar addiction as it was to leave an opiate addiction. Arguably more difficult due to the subtlety and “Normality” of sugar addiction in our society.

🙌 Our medical system treats high blood pressure as a disease, when in reality it is a symptom of something out of balance in your body. Blood pressure medication does not treat the root cause, it only suppresses a symptom. I wish more people would wake up & understand this. You were able to address the imbalance through your lifestyle change. Our current medical system is only designed to suppress symptoms, NOT treat the root cause of the issue. When I ask a medical doctor "why" something is happening they cannot tell me. They do not even want to explore the why. They just want to write a prescription & send the person on their way. My 14 yr old daughter is currently on a medication for functional bowel disease. It is an antihistamine that reduces the inflammatory reaction she has in her GI tract. There is something causing that reaction, but more medicine does not want to find out "why". Instead they label it as a broad disorder & told us that we probably will never know what is causing it. They DO NOT want to heal you. Healing you causes them to lose a customer. So hat off to your for Healing yourself ❤

Sadly the sugar, well carbohydrates, in fruit produces exactly the same insulin response as processed sugar so sadly they are equally problematic. Also worth remembering that the "natural" fruit we eat now is somewhere around 10 times sweeter through selective breeding. So the fruit industry is in the same game as processed foods, get more sugar ina nd you sell more product. Try taking all the carbs away and eat more red meat and 100g of liver every week, you will get everything you need.

@@cardronadunstan1903 from what I understood from the author of the book “metabolical”, it’s not the same if you eat it whole. The fiber Will make only some of the sugar to be absorbed by the liver and will leave sugars for the microbiome to feast on. Apparently berries you can blend but the rest of the fruits will not be as beneficial blended and will cause a higher sugar spike.

Almost like it was a political sham to get people to be comfortable with mail in ballots. Think how convenient it is…
Problem with mail in ballots -
People can write whatever date they want as long as it’s prior to election day. USPS will still send it to the city offices.
      USPS postmarks letters -
They can easily change the date for fraud ballots.
Quite simple to buy them since democrats have led the way for bills favoring USPS, so it’s easy to return it.
There’s no safe guard against this, we simply have to take their word.

I live in Queensland (The sunshine state), Australia. At about 50 years old I was diagnosed with low vitamin D. I'd really taken the sun smart message onboard, and always used sunscreen, avoided going outside at peak times, long sleeved shirts, hats etc. I was safe baby! Never mind that I was overweight and pre- diabetic, with fatty liver - no dietary advice. Also had slightly high blood pressure. I was put onto high blood pressure medication an advised to supplement with vitamin D. Soon after, I took up the keto diet, and was able to drop the blood pressure meds as my pressure levels went to ideal levels. I also significantly reduced my omega 6 to omega 3 fatty acid ratio by virtually eliminating seed oils from my diet. I found that I was able to take a hugely increased sun exposure without burning. This is a side effect of eliminating seed oils from the diet. That also took care of the need to supplement vitamin D. I also lost approximately 20 Kg of fat and sometimes struggled to maintain my weight, despite eating to satisfaction on one or two meals a day. I rediscovered a vee shaped torso that slowly revealed itself. I was strict with keto for more than two years, but sadly compromised my diet choices, and have gained back about 9-10 Kg of fat and redeveloped love handles. Time to resume the keto diet again I think, despite my family's diet choices trending towards junky foods. Time to put on my big boy pants again.

You can't be high in vitamin D when your insulin is high, all the vitamin D is locked up in your fat cells. That is why it is hard to get it up through supplements. Fasting and a diet that provokes less insulin response will reverse it and the older you get the more of an issue it is.

Solutions to reduce Vitamin D deficiency: 5:26
      * Get more sun (obviously)
      * Eat a ketogenic diet (i.e. Eat more grass-fed butter, egg yolks, pasture-raised pork)
      * If taking supplement, take Vitamin D3 (Vitamin D2 is not-so well-absorbed)
      * Dairy is a terrible way to get Vitamin D
      * Try all three (Sun, Diet, and Supplement)
And definitely consult with a doctor who's familiar with your heath condition

It spiked in the early afternoon and broke by the next morning. Had a low grade fever for the next 2 days and was more or less back to normal within 4-5 days. I’ve watched many in my family and community become sick with it multiple times and within a month for some of them. But instead of jumping on the pharmaceutical bandwagon, I increased my exercise, cut down on junk food, checked my vitamin levels and adjusted my diet accordingly and continued to monitor the situation. Now my blood pressure is the best it has been my whole life and I never took chemicals to do it. This is where I have a major problem with medical professionals: their immediate response is “take more drugs”. High blood pressure isn‘t caused by a lack of blood pressure medicine in your blood, just like headaches are not caused by a lack of paracetamol in your system. If the whole covid thing has given us any take aways, it’s that we should be MORE careful before grabbing a bottle of pills.

I'm 55 with no medical condition whatsoever and I practice moderately many sports, cycling, hockey, sailing. I also smoke tobacco/weed a little (like 2-4 small cigs/joints a day) and I'm also on my own diet (which is basically listen to your body) which consists of 1-2 full meals a day depending on the level of activity required, of course. Most importantly, in my opinion, I drink EVERYDAY about 750ml of spring/well water (from my parent's camp up north, in Quebec) which is a life elixir in itself. I started about 20 years ago to bring back to my city 4L water bottles all year around thus always avoiding drinking tap water. Oh and lastly, I'm not vaxxed at all and feel pretty good about it!

I had a mild case of the virus in March 2020...I have just recovered from another very mild case now in November 2022. There has been no medical intervention in either case. From my first illness, I seem to have had 30 months of immunity even with repeated close exposure to the virus. I am 67 years old and not vaccinated. Both times resembled a common head cold and without knowing what the media and health authorities were saying, I would have just said I had a common cold virus. Please keep up your wonderful work. @Klaus That's interesting. I know far more that died from Covid, than any suspicions of the vaccine. I've had Covid myself. It wasn't a minor cold and I'm 40. I have family members and friends that have died from Covid. One case that I believe may have been triggered by vaccination. Instead of arguing with each other, I think people need to be more focused on how this was introduced to the population and if it could happen again.
We can't even properly discuss region, virus strands, climate, culture, health background, or any variables that may be causing the these differences, because people would rather argue the ways of addressing the problem, rather than being focused on what caused the problem in the first place.

Doc, coincidentally my blood pressure also went up in 2020 after being low all my life. This was before the covid vaccines came out. I couldn't get my BP down. Instead of going on an HBP med, though, I started taking vitamin D and K2 as well as patented varieties of Bacillus subtilis isolated from the human gut. After about 6 months, it had fallen back down into the 120s/70s with my diastolic dragging behind. With a whole food keto diet including cruciferous vegetables and naturally fed meats with no refined or processed fats I got it to drop down further into the 110s/60s. Just FYI.

The problem with evidence-based reasoning is simply, "You don't know what you don't know." People who demand evidence to believe something don't realize evidence isn't always available. Also, professionals don't leave evidence to incriminate themselves. This is where intuition kicks in.
