The best female artist to ever come out from South africa. Even today nobody can match Brenda fassie. What a beautiful voice, I can listen to her music the whole day. RIP to her.❤❤❤
@@lloydn2103 And South Africa has never been so exciting like those times. Everything South Africa touched became a masterpiece. We were competing with America musically. Economically we were Africa's Europe
Thank you so much for actually mentioning this. There's so much Rich Brenda Fassie History & Accomplishments that we new young music lovers don't know. How I wish we were told, taught more about her. We need a biography or an up to date; Life Documentary/ Biopic. This would fill in this gap🙏❤. By the way, where did you learn about this? maybe I could visit your sources too and learn more rich knowledge.

The greatest South African black singer of all time, this song still as fresh today, as it was back in the 80s, Brenda Fassie legacy will live forever❤❤
This was the biggest song to come out of the 80s. When it came out it was like something nobody ever heard before. The voice was out of this world. Everybody wanted to see the voice behind the song. She just made my childhood so beautiful.
This was a hit way back 80s life fabulous she used to make us dance like no body's business......I was 5 yrs but still remember the legend.....full of life ❤❤❤❤❤❤
First time i heard this song was after its release. We were in a bus on a school trip to the Free State(OFS) at the time. This song made all of us go crazy as we danced all the way on the bus. We'd never heard it before, and it came like a breath of fresh minty air to take us out of being almost suffocated by american music. This was our own thing, a real game changer for everyone. We were so taken by Brenda,s vocal prowess. Iconic duo, Brenda & The Big Dudes. Case closed.

I Will Cherish This Memory Forever.
I thank Brenda's mom for allowing her leave Cape Town to Johannesburg at tender age to pursue her music career because we would have missed this giant voice.
In one of her BioPics she actually says she ran away from home against her mom's wish to pursue her dream in Jozi. Guess she was just braver than most at that age. Still, glad she did.
@@refigee8752Producer Koloi Lebona requested her Mom to take her to JHb. She stayed with Lebonas in Soweto for a while while in school. Timeless, Iconic, Legendary!! The best musician this country has ever produced. What a talent, I can't even put onto words how special this woman is.❤❤❤
Hmmmmm are you sure? Am not a South African but globally Lucky Dube is inarguably the most well known celebrity from that country. In fact the most loved and celebrated African musician of all times. Go to Brazil, Japan, New Carlidonia, Germany, Jamaica and Australia etc his songs are played everywhere around the globe.
@@martinjames8310 I'm the biggest fan of both her and Lucky but she's the best musician this country produced, period. The most well known does not always mean the most talented. The only reason Lucky's music managed to reach international recognition is because he sings in English, whilst Brenda sings in vernac, with only a handful of songs in English.
