  • Hey everyone. Psudo content drought here. A mix of drive / drama / work life balance. I apologize. I'm going to be doing quick paint update videos to fill out my backlog and have some stuff to talk about.
Stay tuned for some fun news!

Pretty awesome, I hope we see the rest of the colossals soon!

Yea, i think were done for the year tho based on the road map. I cant wait to see the dusk one honestly. Thats the only other mk4 army i have.. Orgoth, Khador, dusk. I dipped my toe into Ninja Wizard Lizards with their first box (caster & 2 beasts) but dunno if i want to expand.

@@UnderwhelmingUpkeep Well the road map SFG put out was only for things previously announced by PP. So there is a chance we see more this year. SFG said they are putting a full roadmap out "soonish" that should really let us know what to expect for the rest of the year.

Nice work! I'd just hit all those rivets with a bright orange so they stand out. If you wanted the yellow to stand out I'd paint it white and then cover it with yellow! Otherwise excellent work!

Yea, high lighting. I do that with my soul smoke. I should at least highlight the yellow. I think i got into that mode of "please god be done" and skipped some. Thank you for the great advice though. That would 100% help it stand out more.

Looks great. And i think that's a cool idea.
How did contrast paints work for you? I find them quite tricky on flat surfaces (and much better on organic stuff like fur, muscles, bones, scales). For armor I use base paints and then layer and edge highlight. Especially if it's bigger models. With contrast it leaves either brush marks or very uneven and inconsistent coverage.
So I'm quite curious how you managed, especially with model this size. And it looks really good.

so from a normal brush you are 100% correct. It gets weird and fast. Contrast though from an air brush handles flat areas PERFECTLY. It doesn't pool and pull back as much as it does from a brush but because of its medium I find you don't need to water it down or use flow improver like you do with normal paints.
